Effects of nitrogen fertilizer input on the composition of mineral elements in corn grain

Abstract: excessive and inappropriate application of industrial n fertilizer can result in severe environmental and ecological problems, but whether the input of n fertilizer could affect the composition of mineral elements in corn has not been reported. effects of input of n fertilizer on the composition of mineral elements (se, mo, i, mn, fe, cu, zn, ca, cr, k, na, and mg), in corn grain were investigated by icp-ms (inductive coupling plasma-mass spectrometry). se, i, mn, fe, zn, cr, k and ca were significantly lower in the treatments with n fertilizer compared to a control without n fertilizer. there was a significant negative conrrelation (r) between four mineral elements and n fertilizer input: i, -0.71; zn, -0.65; ca, -0.75; k, -0.89. therefore appropriate reduction of n fertilizer input cannot only prevent environmental problems from excessive application of industrial n fertilizer, besides it might reduce the problem of malnutrition induced by mineral elements deficiency.

Abstract: nitrogen fertilization has played a significant role in increasing crop yield, and solving problems of hunger and malnutrition worldwide. however, excessive nitrogen inputs do not significantly increase crop yields but may lead to many serious environmental problems. the effects of nitrogen fertilization rate were studied on heavy metal content of corn grains. our results show that nitrogen fertilization management is beneficial for reducing production costs, protecting the environment, and improving the quality of farm products.

Abstract: 用溶液培养法研究不同Zn浓度对玉米缺Zn后恢复效果及胚乳在缺Zn中作用结果表明,不同基因型玉米缺Zn后恢复所需的适宜Zn浓度不同,敏感品种比非敏感品种要求更高的Zn浓度。缺Zn后恢复所需适宜Zn浓度高于正常培养所需适宜Zn浓度,低浓度Zn(0.1μmol/L)无恢复作用(生物量)。带上胚乳使敏感品种在缺Zn、低Zn下受抑程度(缺Zn与供Zn生物量差值)提高,而非敏感品种受抑程度反而减小。缺Zn与低Zn培养时体内P含量提高,胚乳可缓解这种影响。缺Zn后再供Zn可使体内Zn含量提高,而P含量降低,玉米对Zn产生奢侈吸收,使体内Zn含量超过正常供Zn水平,表明缺Zn后植物对Zn的要求提高。0.1μmol/L Zn恢复对“吉单120”玉米Zn含量无明显影响,但“辽单22”玉米Zn含量显著提高,这表明非敏感品种比敏感品种利用低Zn的能力更强。
Effect of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on salinity tolerance of cotton

Abstract: Artificial salt soil and five nature salinized soils are used to investigate the effect of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi on the saline tolerance of cotton.The results show that the inoculation with AM fungi increases the biomass of cotton plant under both artificial and nature salinized soils significantly.The effects of AM fungi on cotton growth are also promoted with the increase of salt levels.This may indicate that the mycorrhizal-plant association is beneficial for plant growth in salinity environment.Phosphorus concentrations in non-mycorrhizal plant show a up trend with saline level increasing and mycorrhizal plants have higher phosphorus concentration at all salt levels than that of non-mycorrhizal plants.This indicates that cotton plant needs more phosphorus to maintain metabolism and growth under salt stress.

Abstract: 选用在土壤磷水平为5~7mgP·kg-1土的条件下筛选出来的不同磷效率的4个冬小麦品种,采用盆栽试验研究了有效磷为3.2mgP·kg-1土时的磷效率、磷吸收效率、磷利用效率及土壤水分对这些指标的影响。结果表明:在有效磷很低的土壤上,“磷高效”品种小偃54和81(85)5—3—3—3在幼苗期并未表现出较高的磷效率。尽管这两个品种的磷吸收效率显著地高于NC37和京411,但由于它们的磷利用效率相对低于京411,从而使磷效率并未显著地提高。土壤水分对4个品种的磷吸收效率和利用效率均有显著影响。

Abstract: The influence of nitrification inhibitor(NI) 3,4 dimethylpyrazole phosphate(DMPP) on nitrate accumulation in greengrocery( Brassica campestris L. ssp. chinensis ) and vegetable soil at surface layer were investigated in field experiments in 2002 and 2003 Results showed that NI DMPP took no significant effect on yields of edible parts of greengrocery, but it could significantly decrease NO - 3 N concentration in greengrocery and in vegetable soil at surface layer. In addition, NI DMPP could reduce the NO - 3 N concentration during the prophase stage of storage.

Abstract: 选用对N反应有典型差异的玉米自交系“478”、“CA170”研究其根系生长和形态对N水平反应的动态变化结果表明,随培养时间的延长,玉米地上部生物量随N水平的提高而增加,且2个N水平下“478”均高于“CA170”。低N水平下“478”根系生物量显著大于“CA170”,高N水平下二者根系干物质量的基因型差异减小。低N有利于根系纵向伸长,表现为总根长、平均根长显著增加,且“478”总根长、平均根长及侧根密度均大于“CA170”,但生长初期(7d)时这种基因型变化差异并不显著。高N有利于根系横向伸展,表现为1级侧根密度的增加,而平均根长缩短,2个基因型平均根长无显著差异。在N素胁迫下“478”较大的根系优势有利于其高效吸收N素。

Abstract: 研究了不同P营养基因型小麦(Triticum aestivum L.)“81(85)5-3-3-3”和“NC37”在苗期对根系局部供P(0.1mmol/L)后的反应。结果表明,只有3cm根段处于完全营养液(LHL)中的小麦植株不能正常生长,其干物质量分别为全部根系处于完全营养液(HHH)中的小麦植株的54.0%和49.6%。但给绝大部分根系供P,只有3cm根段处于缺P营养液(HLH)中的小麦植株的干物质量、株高、叶面积、根长、根轴长和侧根数等均明显高于全部根系处于完全营养液处理,此时的植株含P量正常。这表明小麦根系接受局部缺P刺激后,加速了小麦苗期的生长发育;缺P信号和常量P信号的刺激具有协同作用,体内不缺P小麦植株可以接受缺P信号并产生正效应。不同基因型小麦对局 部施P的反应有一定差异。

Abstract: 通过田间试验研究不同基因型玉米产量、N累积量和土壤N素表观平衡.结果表明,3个施N水平处理下不同基因型玉米间的产量、N累积量均存在显著差异.N肥在土壤中的表观残留率平均值由施N112.5kg/hm2水平(Ⅰ)下的36.74%升至施N168.75kg/hm2水平(Ⅱ)下的40.79%和施N225kg/hm2水平(Ⅲ)下的48.36%.应用N累积量较高的玉米基因型可显著减少施用N肥在土壤中的残留率.

Abstract: Pot experiments with different root separations were conducted to study the effect of inoculation of arbuscular mycorrhizal(AM) fungi and Rhizobium on the organic P uptake in faba beanKG-*2]/maize intercropping system.The results show that P uptakes by faba bean and maize inoculated with AM fungi are increased by 138.1% and 82.3% compared with the control.Symmetrical effect on organic P uptake is observed when faba bean is inoculated with AM fungi and Rhizobium. The number of nodules,weight of nodules and mycorrhizal colonization of faba bean are significantly increased.At the same time the growth of the associated maize is significantly facilitated due to the improvement of nutrition condition.
