Progression of the silicate cathode materials used in lithium ion batteries

Abstract: Poly anionic silicate materials, which demonstrate a high theoretical capacity, high security, environmental friendliness and low-cost, are considered one of the most promising candidates for use as cathode materials in the next generation of lithium-ion batteries. This paper summarizes the structure and performance characteristics of these materials. The effects of different synthesis methods and calcination temperature on the properties of these materials are reviewed. Materials that demonstrate low conductivity, poor stability, cationic disorder or other drawbacks, and the use of various modification techniques, such as carbon-coating or compositing, elemental doping and combination with mesoporous materials, are evaluated as well. In addition, further research topics and the possibility of using these kinds of cathode materials in lithium-ion batteries are discussed.

Abstract: The spatial redundant robot model was established, its inverse kinematics solution was derived and chaotic motion in zero space self-motion was analyzed; the potential function was constructed by artificial potential field method for the chaotic motion in the zero space self-motion. Simulation results showed that chaotic motion in zero space self-motion of the spatial redundant robot changed into regular motion after joining the potential function in the inverse kinematics solutions of the spatial redundant robot, therefore, the artificial potential field method as chaotic motion control of the spatial redundant robot algorithm was effective.
Conversion of Kinetic Energy from Synoptic Scale Disturbance to Low-Frequency Fluctuation over the Yangtze River Valley in the Summers of 1997 and 1999

Abstract: In order to investigate the conversion of kinetic energy from a synoptic scale disturbance (SSD; period≤seven days) to a low-frequency fluctuation (LFF; period>seven days), the budget equation of the LFF kinetic energy is derived. The energy conversion is then calculated and analyzed for the summers of 1997 and 1999.The results show that the energy conversion from the SSD to the LFF is obviously enhanced in the middle and lower troposphere during the heavy rainfall, suggesting this to be one of mechanisms inducing the heavy rainfall, although the local LFF kinetic energy may not be enhanced.

Abstract: By the developing and maturing of remote communications technology, computer network technology and multimedia technology,internet applications has passed into a new phase. With the fast developing of the world economy, morbidity rate of morbidity rate in every country shows an upward tendency year by year. According to the curiative features of mental disease, application principles of expert system and the idea of object oriented programming, the paper expatiates the design proposal of remote aided diagnosis system base on the Browser-Server three-layer architecture. This system takes Internet as platform, puts forth the expendable knowledge base structure of mental illness professional field that is suitable for this system, by the object oriented analytic technique. And this structure can be mapped the relational database to set up relevant expert knowledge database. Which breaks the geographical limitation of mental health test, has good extensibility and usability, and will give a lot of assistance to the diagnosis of mental health.
Future Unified Communication Based on Ubiquitous Hierarchical Generalized-Sensor Network Architecture

Abstract: Recent advances in wireless sensor network (WSN) and radio frequency identifier (RFID) have made it possible to extend current human-to-human communication to the future unified communication environment among human society, computer network and the external physical world. A ubiquitous hierarchical generalized-sensor network (UHGSN) is presented in this paper as a typical network model for such unified communication architecture. The sensor information processing unit and the hierarchical distributed agent server are introduced as the basic network elements in this architecture for effective information communication, and the topology, addressing and recovery problems are analyzed. As the basic applications, the combined “key word” based characterized searching mechanism and the performance monitoring processes are discussed, along with the corresponding protocol message definition and encoding format. Simulation results show the advancements of the presented hierarchical architecture and the job-list based characterized searching mechanism.
Kullback Leibler property of kernel mixture priors in Bayesian density estimation

Abstract: Positivity of the prior probability of Kullback-Leibler neighborhood around the true density, commonly known as the Kullback-Leibler property, plays a fundamental role in posterior consistency. A popular prior for Bayesian estimation is given by a Dirichlet mixture, where the kernels are chosen depending on the sample space and the class of densities to be estimated. The Kullback-Leibler property of the Dirichlet mixture prior has been shown for some special kernels like the normal density or Bernstein polynomial, under appropriate conditions. In this paper, we obtain easily verifiable sufficient conditions, under which a prior obtained by mixing a general kernel possesses the Kullback-Leibler property. We study a wide variety of kernel used in practice, including the normal, $t$, histogram, gamma, Weibull densities and so on, and show that the Kullback-Leibler property holds if some easily verifiable conditions are satisfied at the true density. This gives a catalog of conditions required for the Kullback-Leibler property, which can be readily used in applications.
Hellinger Distance and Bayesian Non-Parametrics: Hierarchical Models for Robust and Efficient Bayesian Inference

Abstract: This paper introduces a hierarchical framework to incorporate Hellinger distance methods into Bayesian analysis. We propose to modify a prior over non-parametric densities with the exponential of twice the Hellinger distance between a candidate and a parametric density. By incorporating a prior over the parameters of the second density, we arrive at a hierarchical model in which a non-parametric model is placed between parameters and the data. The parameters of the family can then be estimated as hyperparameters in the model. In frequentist estimation, minimizing the Hellinger distance between a kernel density estimate and a parametric family has been shown to produce estimators that are both robust to outliers and statistically efficient when the parametric model is correct. In this paper, we demonstrate that the same results are applicable when a non-parametric Bayes density estimate replaces the kernel density estimate. We then demonstrate that robustness and efficiency also hold for the proposed hierarchical model. The finite-sample behavior of the resulting estimates is investigated by simulation and on real world data.

Renewable Energy Production Simulation Platform (REPS) is developed by China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI) to simulate the operation of renewable energy in the power system. REPS takes into account the characteristics of China’s electric power system, it can assess the accommodation of renewable energy power and simulate the impact of different renewable energy capacity on the operation of power system. Assessment model and calculation process of REPS V1.3 is introduced in this article, and annual consumptive capacity in one provincial power grid of China is evaluated with the platform. REPS is of great guiding significance to electrical source planning. With the sustained and rapid growth of renewable energy in China, power system will be more and more dependent on REPS.
