Reconfigure ZigBee Network Based on System Design  [PDF]

Abstract: This article analyses key technology used by network layer based on ZigBee technology. Then a reconfigure network as well as its strategy of forming network and distributing node is given. The simulation proved that the stability of reconfigure network and the ability of transmitting pass through obstacle are better than tradi-tional network; it has an active significance for shorter delay because of the flexible of the improved forming network strategy.

Abstract:

Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a fatal disease which highly threatens the health of human being. Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is the pathogeny for this disease. Investigating HIV-1 protease cleavage sites can help researchers find or develop protease inhibitors which can restrain the replication of HIV-1, thus resisting AIDS. Feature selection is a new approach for solving the HIV-1 protease cleavage site prediction task and it’s a key point in our research. Comparing with the previous work, there are several advantages in our work. First, a filter method is used to eliminate the redundant features. Second, besides traditional orthogonal encoding (OE), two kinds of newly proposed features extracted by conducting principal component analysis (PCA) and non-linear Fisher transformation (NLF) on AAindex database are used. The two new features are proven to perform better than OE. Third, the data set used here is largely expanded to 1922 samples. Also to improve prediction performance, we conduct parameter optimization for SVM, thus the classifier can obtain better prediction capability. We also fuse the three kinds of features to make sure comprehensive feature representation and improve prediction performance. To effectively evaluate the prediction performance of our method, five parameters, which are much more than previous work, are used to conduct complete comparison. The experimental results of our method show that our method gain better performance than the state of art method. This means that the feature selection combined with feature fusion and classifier parameter optimization can effectively improve HIV-1 cleavage site prediction. Moreover, our work can provide useful help for HIV-1 protease inhibitor developing in the future.

Abstract:
At present, with the increasing emphasis extent on preschool education in China, preschool education gradually moves from the edge to the center in the entire national education system. And the professional development quality of preschool teachers is the key link and important path for the quality of preschool education development. Take the literatures on the research on professional development of preschool teachers collected by China National Knowledge Infrastructure as samples. The research topics are focused on the four fields of preschool teachers’ professional development, including connotation, professional standards, influencing factors and strategies, and making an in-depth analysis of the research status of the professional development of preschool teachers in China. However, at present, there are still some deficiencies in the research on the professional development of preschool teachers in China. First, the theoretical research on preschool teacher professional development is still shallow, and it still needs to learn from foreign research results. Second, the professional standards of preschool teachers are not strong adaptability, whose operabil-ity is still needed to improve. Third, there is a lack of empirical basis for re-search on influencing factors of preschool teachers’ professional develop-ment; it is urgent to strengthen quantitative research. Fourth, the strategy research of preschool teachers’ professional development lacks practicality, so it is urgent to enhance the effectiveness of research.
Accuracy Analysis on the Automatic Registration of Multi-Source Remote Sensing Images Based on the Software of ERDAS Imagine  [PDF]

Abstract:

The automatic registration of multi-source remote sensing images (RSI) is a research hotspot of remote sensing image preprocessing currently. A special automatic image registration module named the Image Autosync has been embedded into the ERDAS IMAGINE software of version 9.0 and above. The registration accuracies of the module verified for the remote sensing images obtained from different platforms or their different spatial resolution. Four tested registration experiments are discussed in this article to analyze the accuracy differences based on the remote sensing data which have different spatial resolution. The impact factors inducing the differences of registration accuracy are also analyzed.

Abstract: The distribution of hazards triggered by strong earthquakes showed great differences with traditional experience that gained from normal condition or moderate earthquake. This paper researches the differences and discusses the effect on road in V-shaped valleys. The distribution map of slope failures triggered by Lushan earthquake along roads is worked out by detailed investigation. Abnormal areas of seismic hazards are found and marked in the map. Then, co-seismic hazards and post-seismic hazards are researched in detail along Yingxiu-Wolong section of S303 road. V-shaped valleys are abnormal areas in strong earthquakes, where the geological hazards can be extreme large. Rock avalanche is the major type of co-seismic hazard, and debris flow is prone to occur and is the most harmful post-seismic hazard. For new built roads, the line elevation is as high as it can be if the economy and technique are acceptable. In strong earthquake-stricken area, makeshift roads are adopted in damage trunk roads to ensure the traffic. Reconstruction of formal roads should not be started until the end of the active period. The line elevation with enough vertical clearance over the river should be adopted to prevent the post-seismic debris flow hazard.

Abstract: This paper mainly considers the lower bounds on the maximum genus of 2- edge-connected and 3-edges-connected graphs, generalizes the main result in 7], and proves that (G) is the lower bounds on the maximum genus of any 3-edge-connected and some special 2-edge-connected graphs. In addition, the method used here provides the simple proof for the main results of 7].

Triple Quantum Dot Molecule as a Spin-Splitter

Abstract: We propose a spin-splitter composed of triple quantum dots that works due to the Coulomb blockade effect and the charge and spin biases applied on external electron source and drains. The spin biases are applied only on the two drains and give their spin-dependent chemical potentials, which act as the driving forces for electron spin-polarized transport. By tuning the biases and the dots' levels, spin-up and spin-down electrons can be simultaneously split or separated from the source into two different drains. We show that such a tunneling process is detectable in terms of the spin accumulations on the dots or the currents flowing through the external leads. The present device is quite simple and realizable within currently existing technologies.
Effects of QCD Resummation on Distributions of Leptons from the Decay of Electroweak Vector Bosons

Abstract: We study the distributions of leptons from the decay of electroweak vector bosons produced in hadron collisions. The effects of the initial state multiple soft-gluon emission, using the Collins--Soper resummation formalism, are included. The resummed results are compared with the next-to-leading-order results for the distributions of the transverse momentum, rapidity asymmetry, and azimuthal angle of the decay leptons.
Maximizing Resilient Throughput in Peer-to-Peer Network  [PDF]

Abstract: A unique challenge in P2P network is that the peer dynamics (departure or failure) cause unavoidable disruption to the downstream peers. While many works have been dedicated to consider fault resilience in peer selection, little understanding is achieved regarding the solvability and solution complexity of this problem from the optimization perspective. To this end, we propose an optimization framework based on the generalized flow theory. Key concepts introduced by this framework include resilience factor, resilience index, and generalized throughput, which collectively model the peer resilience in a probabilistic measure. Under this framework, we divide the domain of optimal peer selection along several dimensions including network topology, overlay organization, and the definition of resilience factor and generalized flow. Within each sub-problem, we focus on studying the problem complexity and finding optimal solutions. Simulation study is also performed to evaluate the effectiveness of our model and performance of the proposed algorithms.
