Constraints and Soliton Solutions for the KdV Hierarchy and AKNS Hierarchy

Abstract: It is well-known that the finite-gap solutions of the KdV equation can be generated by its recursion operator.We generalize the result to a special form of Lax pair, from which a method to constrain the integrable system to a lower-dimensional or fewer variable integrable system is proposed. A direct result is that the $n$-soliton solutions of the KdV hierarchy can be completely depicted by a series of ordinary differential equations (ODEs), which may be gotten by a simple but unfamiliar Lax pair. Furthermore the AKNS hierarchy is constrained to a series of univariate integrable hierarchies. The key is a special form of Lax pair for the AKNS hierarchy. It is proved that under the constraints all equations of the AKNS hierarchy are linearizable.
Some Numerical Results For Ito Equation

Abstract: By the method of invariant manifold, we investigate the Ito equation numerically with high precision. By the numerical results, we can completely determine the form of analytic soliton solutions for the Ito equation. In fact, by the numerical data we have succeeded in deciding the analytic form of the $\tau$-function, which is more general than the old assumptions. This may suggest that we should think more deeply about what the soliton is.
Regional accessibility of land traffic network in the Yangtze River Delta

Abstract: In a given district, the accessibility of any point should be the synthetically evalua-tion of the internal and external accessibilities. Using MapX component and Delphi, the author presents an information system to calculate and analyze regional accessibility according to the shortest travel time, generating thus a mark diffusing figure. Based on land traffic network, this paper assesses the present and the future regional accessibilities of sixteen major cities in the Yangtze River Delta. The result shows that the regional accessibility of the Yangtze River Delta presents a fan with Shanghai as its core. The top two most accessible cities are Shanghai and Jiaxing, and the bottom two ones are Taizhou (Zhejiang province) and Nantong. With the construction of Sutong Bridge, Hangzhouwan Bridge and Zhoushan Bridge, the re-gional internal accessibility of all cities will be improved. Especially for Shaoxing, Ningbo and Taizhou (Jiangsu province), the regional internal accessibility will be decreased by one hour, and other cities will be shortened by about 25 minutes averagely. As the construction of Yangkou Harbor in Nantong, the regional external accessibility of the harbor cities in Jiangsu province will be speeded up by about one hour.

Abstract: In this paper, the Autoregressive Jump Intensity (ARJI) model with time-varying jumps is used to measure the daily exchange rate volatility and jump intensity of 13 Chinese manufacturing segments from January 1, 2001 to June 30, 2017. The statistical characteristics are analyzed and compared. We further explore the impact of international major payment currencies’ volatility on the industry-specific nominal effective exchange rate (INEER) risks for various industries in China. First, the results show that there are certain differences in exchange rate fluctuation and jump dynamics between different industries. The exchange rate volatility and jump intensity for paper, non-metal and metal industries are small, while for petroleum, rubber, electrical machinery and other industries are larger. Second, the U.S. dollar, German mark and Japanese yen have significantly different effects on exchange rate fluctuations and jump risks in various industries, and the degree of impact is weakened in turn. Finally, the analysis of the sub-sample shows that after the financial crisis, the impact of dollar and yen on the fluctuations of INEER for most industries has declined significantly, and the impact of mark has generally increased.
Constraints for Evolution Equations with Some Special Form of Lax Pairs and Distinguishing Lax Pairs by Available Constraints

Abstract: The constraints for evolution equations with some special form of Lax pair are first investigated. We show by examples how the method is rooted in the classical literatures and how the ignored constraints provide nontrivial solutions. Then we showed, by the example of the KdV, how this special form of Lax pair may be found by the method of EW. At last we propose how constraints should be imposed for general Lax pairs including nonlinear ones, with which the true Lax pairs and the fake ones can be distinguished easily. The linearity nature in integrable partial differential equations seems to have been revealed.
A new integrable discrete generalized nonlinear Schrodinger equation and its reductions

Abstract: A new integrable discrete system is constructed and studied, based on the algebraization of the difference operator. The model is named the discrete generalized nonlinear Schrodinger (GNLS) equation for which can be reduced to classical discrete nonlinear Schrodinger (NLS) equation. To show the complete integrability of the discrete GNLS equation, the recursion operator, symmetries and conservation quantities are obtained. Furthermore, all of reductions for the discrete GNLS equation are given and the discrete NLS equation is obtained by one of the reductions. At the same time, the recursion operator and symmetries of continuous GNLS equation are successfully recovered by its corresponding discrete ones.

Generalized Darboux transformation and localized waves in coupled Hirota equations

Abstract: In this paper, we construct a generalized Darboux transformation to the coupled Hirota equations with high-order nonlinear effects like the third dispersion, self-steepening and inelastic Raman scattering terms. As application, an Nth-order localized wave solution on the plane backgrounds with the same spectral parameter is derived through the direct iterative rule. In particular, some semi-rational, multi-parametric localized wave solutions are obtained: (1) Vector generalization of the first- and the second-order rogue wave solution; (2) Interactional solutions between a dark-bright soliton and a rogue wave, two dark-bright solitons and a second-order rogue wave; (3) Interactional solutions between a breather and a rogue wave, two breathers and a second-order rogue wave. The results further reveal the striking dynamic structures of localized waves in complex coupled systems.
Rogue wave solutions in AB system

Abstract: In this paper, the generalized Darboux transformation is established to the AB system, which mainly describes marginally unstable baroclinic wave packets in geophysical fluids and ultra-short pulses in nonlinear optics. We find a unified formula of Nth-order rogue wave solution for the AB system by the direct iterative rule. In particular, rogue waves possessing several free parameters from first to second order are calculated. The dynamics and some interesting structures of the rogue waves are illustrated through some figures.
A direct algorithm of one-dimensional optimal system for the group invariant solutions

Abstract: A direct and systematic algorithm is proposed to find one-dimensional optimal system for the group invariant solutions, which is attributed to the classification of its corresponding one-dimensional Lie algebra. Since the method is based on different values of all the invariants, the process itself can both guarantee the comprehensiveness and demonstrate the inequivalence of the optimal system, with no further proof. To illustrate our method more clearly , we give a couple of well-known examples: the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation and the heat equation.
