Timing Synchronization Method for Asymmetrically Clipped DC Biased Optical OFDM System  [PDF]
Yong Wang
Optics and Photonics Journal (OPJ) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/opj.2016.68B003
Abstract:
In a typical intensity-modulated direct-detection optical system, the information is carried on the intensity of the optical signal, and therefore can only be positive. Existing synchronization methods for RF-based OFDM system cannot be used directly in asymmetrically clipped DC biased optical of DM (ADO-OFDM) system. In order to solve the above problem, according to the characteristics of ADO-OFDM signal, the modified training symbol is presented. The simulation results show that the modified synchronization method gives good performance.
Strategic Cost Management—A Review of Research Status at Home and Abroad  [PDF]
Yong Wang
Modern Economy (ME) , 2019, DOI: 10.4236/me.2019.102035
Abstract:

Cost management is a long-standing research topic in the field of management accounting. In today’s, cost management has been closely linked to the company’s strategy, and has become an important way for enterprises to build competitive advantage and create core competitiveness. In order to understand the development of strategic cost management in recent years, in order to inspire future research directions, this paper mainly selects the domestic and international literature on strategic cost management issues from 2013 to 2017, their research content, research framework, and research methods. The conclusions of the study are summarized. It is found that the strategic cost management research shows the characteristics of using empirical research and clear research framework. Finally, based on this, the future research is proposed.

Performance of Mergers and Acquisitions under Corporate Governance Perspective  [PDF]
Yong Liu, Yongqing Wang
Open Journal of Social Sciences (JSS) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/jss.2013.17004
Abstract:

This paper investigates the impact of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) on corporate performance. This article selects 36 M&A cases of China’s listed real estate companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges from 2008 to 2009. Regarding the corporate value in 2011 as the measure of the long-term performance, we will explore the relationship among check-and-balance Ownership Structure, board size, and institutional investors impact the performance. This paper concludes a positive impact ownership structure on the M&A performance. In addition, the empirical analysis reveals that that the board size has a significant negative effect on the performance. Additionally, the results of the paper indicate that the CEO-Chairman duality has a significant impact on the long-term performance. Besides, institutional investors have positive effect on M&A performance.

Nondegeneracy of Solution to the Allen-Cahn Equation with Regular Triangle Symmetry  [PDF]
Yong Liu, Jun Wang
Advances in Pure Mathematics (APM) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/apm.2014.44017
Abstract:

The Allen-Cahn equation on the plane has a 6-end solution U with regular triangle symmetry. The angle between consecutive nodal lines of U is \"\". We prove in this paper that U is non-degenerated in the class of functions possessing regular triangle symmetry. As an application, we show the existence of a family of solutions close to U.

Generalized Information Theory: A Review and Outlook
Yong Wang
Information Technology Journal , 2011,
Abstract: Information theory was firstly used in communication. With the development of information technology, information theory has exposed its limitations and some generalized information theories were proposed. This study presents a review and discussion of the literature on the generalized information theories. Some viewpoints about the theory are proposed. An outlook of the development of generalized information theory is given. More attention should be put on the reliability and completeness of information. The multiple uncertainties of information cannot be ignored under more general conditions, especially the randomness of probability. We can naturally generalize Shannon’s information theory by taking probability as random variable. That may result in a fusion of information theory, Artificial Intelligence (AI), information fusion and other relevant theories.
The Homosexual Subject: Coming-Out as a Political Act
Yong Wang
Journal of Men, Masculinities and Spirituality , 2007,
Abstract: Drawing on Lacan’s notion of the subject as a split and his four discursive forms, this paper identifies and examines three moments inherent to the coming out narratives. It is shown that two such moments, manifested as two forms of discourse—the hysteric’s discourse and the master’s discourse, open the possibility of political actions. The former adheres to a perpetual position to interrogating the established social-symbolic order, whereas, the latter completes the steps of constituting and recognizing oneself in a new master’s interpellation. The author then examines the form of and limitations to the political gestures entailed by the social constructionism and queer theory concerning the coming out processes: the social constructionist’s insistence on completing the master’s discourse and the queer gesture of rejecting any master and keeping the symbolic-ideological space open.

Abstract: In this paper, for foliations with spin leaves, we compute the spectral action for sub-Dirac operators.
Gravity and the Noncommutative Residue for Manifolds with Boundary

Mathematics , 2006, DOI: 10.1007/s11005-007-0147-1
Abstract: We prove a Kastler-Kalau-Walze type theorem for the Dirac operator and the signature operator for $3,4$-dimensional manifolds with boundary. As a corollary, we give two kinds of operator theoretic explanations of the gravitational action in the case of 4-dimensional manifolds with flat boundary.
Differential Forms and the Wodzicki Residue for Manifolds with Boundary
Yong Wang
Mathematics , 2006, DOI: 10.1016/j.geomphys.2005.04.015
Abstract: In [3], Connes found a conformal invariant using Wodzicki's 1-density and computed it in the case of 4-dimensional manifold without boundary. In [14], Ugalde generalized the Connes' result to $n$-dimensional manifold without boundary. In this paper, we generalize the results of [3] and [14] to the case of manifolds with boundary.
