Robust Factor Analysis and Its Applications in the CSI 100 Index  [PDF]
Yingying Zhang
Open Journal of Social Sciences (JSS) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/jss.2014.27003

We apply the object-oriented robust factor analysis R package robustfa to the 28 financial indicators of the 100 listed companies in China’s Chinese Securities Index (CSI) 100 index in the first quarter of 2013. First of all, according to the size of the data, we automatically choose a robust estimator, the robust Ogk estimator. By the Mahalanobis distances which are computed by the robust Ogk estimator, greater than the critical value, we find a total of 47 abnormal points. This paper discovers that the results of the sample correlation matrix, the rotated factor loading matrix, the contribution of the factors to the original variables, the contribution rate, the cumulative contribution rate, the screeplot of the eigenvalues of the sample correlation matrix, the scatter plot of the first two factor scores, factor scores, and the sorted scores according to factor scores etc. computed by the classical estimator and the robust Ogk estimator are quite different. Finally, we condense the 28 financial indicators to 5 factors by combining the principal component analysis method and the robust Ogk estimator: Provident fund market value factor, profit factor, market value profit rate factor, value per share factor, and asset liability factor. Finally, we sort the 5 factor scores from high to low of each factor, and also get some special stocks according to the factor scores. The robust factor analysis results provide a good basis for investors to choose the stocks.

Severe Isolated Thrombocytopenia Associated with the Use of Clopidogrel  [PDF]
Yingying Zhang, Hongyan Zhou, Wei Han
Case Reports in Clinical Medicine (CRCM) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/crcm.2014.34056

Clopidogrel is used as a frontline antiplatelet drug in patients with coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease and cerebrovascular disease. Though it is frequently reported that clopidogrel is associated with thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP), severe isolated thrombocytopenia induced by this drug is rare. Here we report a case with isolated thrombocytopenia due to clopidogrel therapy. As this agent is widely used in clinical practice, the occurrence of this rare but dangerous adverse effect should be considered.

The Application of Next Generation Sequencing in DNA Methylation Analysis
Yingying Zhang,Albert Jeltsch
Genes , 2010, DOI: 10.3390/genes1010085
Abstract: DNA methylation is a major form of epigenetic modification and plays essential roles in physiology and disease processes. In the human genome, about 80% of cytosines in the 56 million CpG sites are methylated to 5-methylcytosines. The methylation pattern of DNA is highly variable among cells types and developmental stages and influenced by disease processes and genetic factors, which brings considerable theoretical and technological challenges for its comprehensive mapping. Recently various high-throughput approaches based on bisulfite conversion combined with next generation sequencing have been developed and applied for the genome wide analysis of DNA methylation. These methods provide single base pair resolution, quantitative DNA methylation data with genome wide coverage. We review these methods here and discuss some technical points of special interest like the sequence depth necessary to reach conclusions, the identification of clonal DNA amplification after bisulfite conversion and the detection of non-CpG methylation. Future application of these methods will greatly facilitate the profiling of the DNA methylation in the genomes of different species, individuals and cell types under healthy and disease states.
Chinese Environment or Western Environment: Which Choice the Art Education Should Make at the Crossroads?
Yingying Qiao,Li Zhang
International Education Studies , 2008, DOI: 10.5539/ies.v1n4p114
Abstract: In twenty years since reforming and opening up, China has developed an active and stable road of reform belonging to her, and the art circle has immediately become the swiftest industry. Especially in the 21st century, with the development of globalization, the economic strength of China is continually strengthened and the comprehensive national strength is continually enhanced, which offers the extended platform for art education and a new opportunity for the development of various colleges. At the present time, China art education is in the new primary stage of continual improvement and reform, and the change of environment compels we must reconsider the challenges what we face. Whether the education system under traditional mode can adapt the development of new situation? Whether it is feasible to blindly exclude external culture? Facing new problems, we must adopt new methods. As viewed from artists’ views, this article analyzed problems existing art education from various aspects, and aiming at the combination of different art education types with the social education mode on multiple layers such as science, ethic and culture, we introduce the new education concept of “ecological view of art” and study that from our own opinions.
Inequalities for eigenvalues of the weighted Hodge Laplacian
Daguang Chen,Yingying Zhang
Mathematics , 2013,
Abstract: In this paper, we obtain "universal" inequalities for eigenvalues of the weighted Hodge Laplacian on a compact self-shrinker of Euclidean space. These inequalities generalize the Yang-type and Levitin-Parnovski inequalities for eigenvalues of the Laplacian and Laplacian. From the recursion formula of Cheng and Yang \cite{ChengYang07}, the Yang-type inequality for eigenvalues of the weighted Hodge Laplacian are optimal in the sense of the order of eigenvalues.

Case Reports in Clinical Medicine (CRCM) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/crcm.2013.26098
Abstract: Primitive neuroectodermal tumor (PNET) and Ewing’s sarcoma (EWS) are small round cell tumors occurring mainly in children and adolescents, rarely in adults. It can occur in multiple tissues and organs including kidney, adrenal, bladder, liver, small intestine, colon and rectum, with a preferred location within the chest area, in the limbs and around the spine, but with rare cases of abdominal, pelvic or retroperitoneal. Here we present a case of the retroperitoneal PENT/EWS in a 38-year-old man and we discuss the clinical features, histopathological characteristics, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis.

Creative Education (CE) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/ce.2014.513133

In this paper, based on the survey data of typical enterprises and a key university of Guangdong province, we constructed human resource management professional’s competency features based on social needs. According to the intrinsic characteristics of the human resource management theory, we put forward an “integrated teaching model”, namely the integration of human resources management module of the course content as well as the integration of theoretical teaching and comprehensive quality training, so as to achieve the goal of improving teaching effects and meeting the demand of society.

Effect of Temperature and Metal Ions on Degradation of Oxytetracycline in Different Matrices  [PDF]
Yingying Zhang, Heqing Tang, Qian Zhou, Lihua Zhu
Journal of Environmental Protection (JEP) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/jep.2014.58068

Composting is widely applied in animal manure treatment and reclamation. The degradation of organic pollutants during the composting treatment is attributed to two parallel processes: one is the bioprocess induced by the used microorganisms, and the other is the chemical process. In order to clarify the relative contribution of the chemical process to the compositing, in this paper, oxytetracycline (OTC) was chosen to study the degradation of tetracyclines (TCs) in water and chicken manure. It was observed that the degradation of OTC in water was much faster than that in chicken mature. At 40°C, 95% of OTC in water could be removed in two days, while it took about one month in mature. By increasing the temperature to 50°C, 60°C and 70°C, the required degradation time (with the degradation efficiency more than 95%) was shortened to 22, 13 and 9 days, respectively. This difference was caused by desorption hysteresis and irreversible fixation due to the formation of complexes of OTC with co-existed metal ions in the matrix. It was found that the coexisted Ca2+, Zn2+ and Ni2+ ions decreased the degradation of OTC, whereas Cu2+ ions promoted the degradation of OTC.
