On Knowledge Excavation Based on University Library Knowledge Base

Abstract: Knowledge excavation is a new information processing technology. Nowadays, knowledge excavation has been widely applied to the university library management. Knowledge excavation in university library knowledge bases has already been playing an important role in improving the management of university libraries and inevitably will play a more profound role in the future. In this paper, the meaning of knowledge excavation in university library knowledge bases and other related issues are studied on the basis of introducing university library knowledge bases and knowledge excavation.

Abstract: Effective reforms on English education in China are necessary and essential. Concepts of western English education, such as learner-centered, communicative, or intercultural bring both enlightenment and confusion to Chinese English teachers. However, the adoption of these concepts must be done based on Chinese its own English teaching and learning context. Abstract:

The paper proposed the research and implement of text similarity system based on power spectrum analysis. It is not difficult to imagine that the signals of brain are closely linked with writing process. So we build text modeling and set pulse signal function to get the power spectrum of the text. The specific detail is getting power spectrum from economic field to build spectral library, and then using the method of power spectrum matching algorithm to judge whether the test text belonged to the economic field. The method made text similarity system finish the function of text intelligent classification efficiently and accurately.

New Method for Identification of Blue Topaz—An Application of Cathodoluminescence(CL)

Abstract: Blue colored topaz is the most commercialized gemstone worldwide at present. Very rare in nature, most of these topazes are treated by laboratory irradiation with gamma ray, neutron or electron, or in combination with them ever since more than 30 years ago. Knowledge about the origin of the blue color in topazes is not well understood, and a method to identify blue topaz nondestructively is a worldwide problem. In this research, the tested samples were natural blue, colorless topazes and irradiated blue topazes which were firstly tested by using UV lamp (????=365, 254nm). Results showed that the UV fluorescence of the natural blue topazes ranged from very strong to very weak, while those of the irradiated blue topazes were always very weak or even no fluorescence. Based on the UV fluorescence testing, their cathodoluminescence(CL) characteristics were studied emphasisly by using CL-2 cathodoluminescence spectroscope produced by Gemmological Institute of CUG and USB2000 CCD multi-channel spectroscope produced by Ocean Optics, U.S. For this study, CL spectra was acquired at an accelerating voltage of 9.5~10.5 kV, a 0.95~1.05 mA beam current, and entrance and exit slit widths of 4 mm. Results indicated that the maximum of the broad emission bands of all the topazes were always at approximately 500 nm with a side band at approximately 492 nm, and CL of natural blue topazes was the strongest (about 40~50 counts), followed by the natural colorless topazes (about 20~30 counts) and the irradiated blue topazes(less than 15 counts), only 1/3 of the natural blue topazes. Therefore, CL characteristics could be used to separate the natural blue topaz from the irradiated blue topazes rapidly and nondestructively.

Abstract: In this paper, we introduce a concept of super-pseudoconvex domain. We prove that the solution of the Feffereman equation on a smoothly bounded strictly pseudoconvex domain $D$ in $\CC^n$ is plurisubharmonic if and only if $D$ is super-pseudoconvex. As an application, we give a lower bound estimate the bottom of the spectrum of Laplace-Beltrami operators when $D$ is super-pseudoconvex by using the result of Li and Wang \cite{LiWang}.

Abstract: It is known that Luby Transform code (LT code) is the first code fully realizing the digital fountain concept and provides an efficient scheme to transfer information over different channels. The key to make LT code work well is the degree distribution used in the encoding procedure. It determines the degree of each encoding symbol. On the basis of robust solition distribution and optimized degree distribution, a novel degree distribution which has only one parameter is proposed in this paper. Through computer simulation, the performance of LT code with the novel degree distribution is better than the robust solition distribution and sparse degree distribution. The conclusion of the research is practically valuable in improving the efficience of data distribution application.
Intelligent emergency service systembased on wireless sensor and actuator networks

Abstract: An intelligent emergency service(IES)system is designed for indoor environments based on a wireless sensor and actuator network(WSAN)composed of a gateway, sensor nodes, and a multi-robot system(MRS). If the MRS receives accident alarm information, the group of robots will navigate to the accident sites and provide corresponding emergency services. According to the characteristics of the MRS, a distributed consensus formation protocol is designed, which can assure that the multiple robots arrive at the accident site in a specified formation. The prototype emergency service system was designed and implemented, and some relevant simulations and experiments were carried out. The results show that the MRS can successfully provide emergency lighting and failure node replacement services when accidents happen. The effectiveness of the algorithm and the feasibility of the system are verified.
Vitamin K epoxide reductase complex subunit 1 (Vkorc1) haplotype diversity in mouse priority strains

Abstract: In the commonly used laboratory strains of Mus musculus domesticus we identified only four haplotypes differing in the intron or 5' region sequence of the Vkorc1. Six haplotypes differing by coding and non-coding polymorphisms were identified in the other subspecies of Mus. We detected no significant association of Vkorc1 haplotypes with PT, BMD and BMC within each subspecies of Mus. Vkorc1 haplotype sequences divergence between subspecies was associated with PT, BMD and BMC.Phenotypic variation in PT, BMD and BMC within subspecies of Mus, while substantial, appears to be dominated by genetic variation in genes other than the Vkorc1. This was particularly evident for M. m. domesticus, where a single haplotype was observed in conjunction with virtually the entire range of PT, BMD and BMC values of all 5 subspecies of Mus included in this study. Differences in these phenotypes between subspecies also should not be attributed to Vkorc1 variants, but should be viewed as a result of genome wide genetic divergence.The warfarin-sensitive vitamin K epoxide reductase enzyme complex (VKOR) converts vitamin K 2,3-epoxide to vitamin K hydroquinone, a required cofactor for the post-translational gamma-carboxylation of several blood coagulation factors and other vitamin K-dependent proteins, such as osteocalcin (bone Gla protein, BGP) and matrix Gla protein (MGP) [1,2]. MGP has also been found in blood vessel walls and in association with atherosclerotic plaques [3,4]. The vitamin K epoxide reductase complex subunit 1 gene (Vkorc1) appears to be a critical component of the VKOR [5,6].The laboratory mouse is a widely used model organism to study human physiology and medical conditions. Moreover, the Vkorc1 has recently been discussed in the context of gene-drug interactions and disease.
