An Analysis on the Relative Efficiency of Furniture Enterprises in Guangdong Province Based on DEA-BCC and Clustering Method  [PDF]

Abstract: Constructed the empirical model for the study of the differences of the operational efficiency of furniture enterprises in Guangdong province, evaluated the technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of these furniture enterprises with DEA and took pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency as variables for cluster analysis. According to the results, we divided furniture enterprises into four types: inefficient management, efficient management, invalid management and invalid size. Then, the connotation, characteristics and the improvement of different types were discussed. Studies have shown that the reasons for the inefficiency lie in the allocation of resources, improving the existing resource input and output portfolio and effectively controlling the waste of resources are the crucial solution.

Abstract: In recent years, non-traditional security issues are increasingly prominent. In frontier minority areas, how to publicize the prevention from non-traditional security threats has become an important issue. If the government cannot fully recognize and utilize the position of minority ethnic education, including religious education, ill-intentioned people may take advantage of this loophole to damage mutual unity, progress and prosperity between all ethnic groups. Therefore, it is of realistic significance to study the role of a correct understanding of religious education in solving non-traditional security issues, as well as the differences between normal religious education and extreme ideological education.
Hexavalent Chromium Removal from Water Using Heat-Acid Activated Red Mud  [PDF]

Abstract: This study investigated the heat-acid activated red mud used for hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) removal from aqueous solution. The results showed that the heat-acid activated red mud enhanced hexavalent chromium removal capacity from 0.003 to 0.015 mg·g﹣1. Adsorption experiments were conducted as a function of adsorbent dosage, contact time, pH and reaction temperature. The removal efficiency was found to increase gradually when solution pH decreased and maximum removal was achieved at pH 2. The physico-chemical characteristics of heat-acid activated red mud were studied by using instrumental technique like Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF). The experimental data fitted well to Langmuir isotherm model. Thermodynamic parameters indicated the adsorption process was exothermic reaction. The cost-effective performance and, simple operation suggest the heat-acid activated red mud can be taken as a promising sorbents for removal of Cr6+ from wastewater.

In the crystal structure, symmetry-related molecules are linked by an N—H...S hydrogen bond.

Abstract: This study firstly introduces the research status quo to protect the agricultural products quality safety. Secondly, the game model is established to ensure the agricultural products quality safety, respectively, analyzed from the horizontal relations and the vertical relationships in the supply chain of agricultural products. Finally, on the basis of the analysis model, measures to protect the agricultural products quality safety are proposed, the study shows that increasing government regulations of enterprises in the supply chain of agricultural products and giving full play to the supervision and guidance role of the media and consumers will help to ensure the agricultural products quality safety.
Analysis of Transmission Model of Consumers’ Risk Perception of Food Safety based on Case Analysis

Abstract: In recent years, food safety incidents frequently occurred in China, the people paid more and more attention on the importance of food safety and brought out higher and higher demands on the quality of food. Especially, after the incidents came to light, consumers became be increasingly wary of the market, the government increasingly lacked credibility in the minds of consumers. The consumers’ perceived risks continue to pass down which slowly expands the perceived risks groups. The study proposes the transmission path of risks perception and taking “Sanlu milk powder”, “Nongfushangquan” and “Jinhao tea” for examples, analyzes the tripartite behaviors of the corporate, the government and the consumer in the three events and sums up the transmission path of consumers’ risk perception of food safety incident.
Application of DNA microarray technology in immunological research and its inspiration to researches on traditional Chinese medicine

Abstract: DNA microarray technology is a high throughout method that can analyze the expression of thousands of genes at the same time to form a complete cellular gene expression profile. It has been applied in immunological researches such as the development, maturation, activation and differentiation of immune cells, the regulation of immune responses, the molecular mechanism of allergy, the relation between phenotype and gene expression, and immunological pharmacology, etc. It has deepened our perception of the immune system. It will as well be helpful in the research of the regulative mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) toward immune cells and immune responses, the therapeutic mechanisms of TCM toward allergy, the standardization of differentiation of syndrome and herbal pharmacology, etc. The data analysis of the results of DNA microarray experiments is aimed to compare the difference of gene expression levels of different samples and obtain diagnostic gene expression profiles. But there are controversies about the number of samples and choices of statistical methods. Researchers are striving in setting standards of DNA microarray experiments.

Abstract: The development of global economy makes the world become a large global village, emergency crisis that occurs in one alone country may bring out great impacts on other countries, so every country has to pay more attention to international emergency crisis in order to avoid the negative impacts on themselves. This paper states two paths of risks transmission, namely the traditional transmission path and non-traditional transmission path, which aims at offering helpful reference for governments to manage international risks and reduce risks’ negative impacts. Furthermore, the paper takes the risks of China’s food industry which were caused by Japanese serious public crisis occurred in March 2011 as the example, and constructs two transmission path models to analyse the reasons and the process of cross-border risks’ transmission path and their passive impacts. Then, the paper proposes measures finally to avoid and reduce international emergency crisis’ influence on Chinese social and economy.

Variable charge molecular dynamics simulation of vitreous silica

Abstract: Variable charge molecular dynamics simulations of vitreous silica have been performed based on the iterative fluctuation charge model. The vitreous silica was formed using the standard melt-quench process. The pair distribution function, angle distribution and frequency spectrum were then obtained. The results are in good agreement with experimental data. More importantly, our results show that the atomic charge in vitreous silica is significantly different from those in the crystalline silica, and larger fluctuations are observed.
