Abstract: The limit set of the Kleinian group of a given doubly periodic Riccati equation is proved to have a fractal structure if the parameter ′( ) of the equation is greater than 3+22, and a possible Hausdorff dimension is suggested to the limit set.

Abstract: We have synthesized styrene-acrylic latex and investigated the effect of such reaction conditions as the dosage of initiator, surfactant and stirring speed on monomer conversion and glass transition temperature (Tg) of polymer by means of orthogonal experiment, then we get the best reaction conditions. Test results prove that the glass transition temperature of the polymer is directly related to the monomer con- version. The improvement of monomer conver- sion can make the glass transition temperature close to the theoretical value. In the case of high final conversion, we can predict the glass transition temperature of the polymers of different composition according to the theoretical relation effectively.

Effects of electro-acupuncture on signal transduction pathway of hypothalamic neuroendocrine system in ovariectomized rats

Abstract: Objective: To compare the varieties and contents of the main nerval information molecules in perfusate from hypothalamic medial preoptic area (MPOA) of the rats in different sexual cycles and the ovariectomized rats treated by electro-acupuncture, so as to observe the similarities and differences of hypothalamic neuroendocrine signal transduction pathway under the physiological and pathological status, and to explore the mechanisms of neuroendocrine signal transduction of electro-acupuncture therapeutic effect in perimenopausal syndrome.Methods: The stereo localization technique and push-and-pull perfusion of the rat brain nucleus were adopted for collecting the hypothalamic MPOA perfusate of the female rats with normal sexual cycle, and also for collecting the MPOA perfusate of ovariectomized rats after electro-acupuncture treatment as acupuncture perfusate (AP). After being respectively microinjected into MPOA of the ovariectomized rats, the influence of the different perfusates on vagina cytology and serum estradiol (E2) level was observed. The contents of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), dopamine (DA), γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), glutamate (Glu), aspartate (Asp) and β-endorphin (β-EP) in the perfusate of each group were detected by radioimmunoassay or high performance liquid chromatography, and then the varieties and contents of these substances in the perfusate of each group were compared and analyzed. Results: The contents of neural active substances including DA, GABA, Glu, and β-EP in the perfusate from the rats’ MPOA during different stages of sexual cycle showed some regular changes. After the perfusate was microinjected respectively into the MPOA of the ovariectomized rats, the changes of animal vaginal exfoliated cells and serum E2 level showed the similar four-stage cycle characteristics as normal rats; the changes of vaginal exfoliated cells and serum E2 level of the ovariectomized rats without electro-acupuncture treatment showed the acupuncture-like effects following the microinjection of AP in the MPOA.Conclusion: The information molecules in the perfusate from MPOA of rats in normal sexual cycle or electro-acupuncture-treated rats include classical neurotransmitters, amino acid neurotransmitters, and neuropeptides. Acupuncture may modulate the release and synthesis of these information molecules to normalize the subnormal function of MPOA in perimenopausal period. Abstract: Unlike directional antennas, smart antennas offer MANET (Mobile Ad hoc Net works) potential increases in their achievable throughput and capacity. Based on the development of smart antenna technology, we studied the MAC protocol for QoS support was studied, which becomes the hot issue in multimedia services. The protocol divides the channel into the data channel and the control channel, node sends forecast guarantee to compete the channel. And after completing the RTS / CTS handshake appointment, node is reserved for data transmission. Node can send Busy Tones to prevent the problem of the deafness nodes and hidden terminal. At last if the direct link between the sender and receiver has low quality and low rate, data packets may be delivered faster through a relay node. Through the analytical results, QTDMAC with the protocol IEEE802.1 and DMAC were compared. The QTDMAC protocol is proved the superiority in throughput and the real-time delay business.
Effects of hydrogen sulfide on lipid metabolism in liver of high-fat-fed rats

Abstract: Objective To investigate the effects of hydrogen sulfide on lipid metabolism in liver of high-fat-fed(H-FD) rats.Methods Twenty-four male SD rats were randomly divided into control group,H-FD group and H-FD+NaHS group(8 each).Rats were sacrificed after feeding for eight weeks,and hepatic tissue was obtained and frozen sectioned.They were stained with oil red O,Philipin and HE.The oil red O and Philipin-dyed pictures were measured by image analysis system.Results Oil red O staining showed that the cell shape and structure of hepatic tissue were normal in control group,and massive diffuse lipid deposition and damaged structure in hepatic lobule were found in H-FD group.The lipid deposition decreased significantly,and the damage of hepatic lobule also ameliorated,in H-FD+NaHS group(5818.79±297.45) compared with H-FD group(62612.70±756.46,P < 0.01).Philipin staining showed that the fluorescence signal of total cholesterol was negative in control group,and it was positive in H-FD group where the signal was strong and well distributed.The fluorescence intensity of total cholesterol was significantly weakened in H-FD+NaHS group(52.13±3.70) compared with H-FD group(201.21±3.18,P < 0.01).Moicroscopic examination with HE staining showed that the cell shape and structure of hepatic tissue were normal in control group;the hepatocytes contained big lipid droplets,becoming swollen and rounded with obviously injured central area of hepatic lobule in H-FD group;while the lipid droplets in hepatocytes was distinctly decreased in H-FD+NaHS group,and the shape and structure of hepatocytes recovered to certain extent.Conclusion Exogenous hydrogen sulfide might show a novel regulatory effect on abnormality of lipid metabolism in liver of high-fat-fed rats.
CD44+/CD24- phenotype contributes to malignant relapse following surgical resection and chemotherapy in patients with invasive ductal carcinoma

Abstract: A total of 147 randomly selected primary and secondary invasive ductal carcinoma samples were assayed for expression of CD44, CD24, ER, PR, and Her2. The association between the proportions of CD44+/CD24- tumor cells and the clinico-pathological features of these patients was evaluated.CD44+/CD24- tumor cells were detected in 70.1% of the tumors, with a median proportion of 5.8%. The proportion of CD44+/CD24- tumor cells was significantly associated with lymph node involvement (P?=?0.026) and PR status (P?=?0.038), and was correlated with strong PR status in patients with recurrent or metastatic tumors (P?=?0.046) and with basal-like features (p?=?0.05). The median disease-free survival (DFS) of patients with and without CD44+/CD24-/low tumor cells were 22.9?±?2.2?months and 35.9?±?3.8?months, and the median overall survival (OS) of patients with and without CD44+/CD24-/low tumor cells were 39.3?±?2.6?months and 54.0?±?3.5?months, respectively, and with both univariate and multivariate analyses showing that the proportion of CD44+/CD24-/low tumor cells was strongly correlated with DFS and OS.The prevalence of CD44+/CD24- tumor cells varied greatly in invasive ductal carcinomas, with the occurrence of this phenotype high in primary tumors with high PR status and in secondary tumors. Moreover, this phenotype was significantly associated with shorter cumulative DFS and OS. Thus, the CD44+/CD24- phenotype may be an important factor for malignant relapse following surgical resection and chemotherapy in patients with invasive ductal carcinoma.
