The Impact of Brand Image on Consumer Behavior: A Literature Review  [PDF]
Yi Zhang
Open Journal of Business and Management (OJBM) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/ojbm.2015.31006
Abstract: The concept “brand image” has drawn significant attention from academics and practitioners since it was put forward, because it played an important role in marketing activities. Although brand image was recognized as the driving force of brand asset and brand performance, few studies have elaborated on the relationship between brand image and brand equity. Based on the brand image theories, this study reviewed extant studies about the impact of brand image on consumer from perspective of customer equity. It also presented the shortcomings of current research and pointed out the trends for future study.
The Effect of Metaphorical Competence on Students’ Writing Skills  [PDF]
Yi Zhang
Creative Education (CE) , 2019, DOI: 10.4236/ce.2019.101011
Abstract: The article is about to indicate that metaphorical competence (MC) can be acquired in classroom instruction, and plays the constructive role in students’ linguistic competence and their writing skills. Subjects were chosen and divided into the experimental group (EG) and the control group (CG). Subjects from EG were instructed with metaphorical theory and relative writing practice, while the other were taught with traditional ways. Their writings?were?tested in terms of lexical density, metaphorical expressions and linguistic errors. Data and results show that the former performs better in increasing lexical density and metaphorical expressions, and eliminating the linguistic errors.
Kolmogorov entropy changes and cortical lateralization during complex problem solving task measured with EEG  [PDF]
Lian-Yi Zhang
Journal of Biomedical Science and Engineering (JBiSE) , 2009, DOI: 10.4236/jbise.2009.28097
Abstract: The objective is to study changes in EEG time-domain Kolmogorov entropy and cortical lateralization of brain function areas during complex problem solving mental task in healthy human subjects. EEG data for healthy subjects are acquired during complex problem solving mental task using a net of 6 electrodes. The subject was given a nontrivial multiplication problem to solve and the signals were recorded for 10s during the task. Kolmogorov entropy values during the task were calculated. It was found that Kolmogorov entropy values were obviously greater in P4 channel (right) than ones in P3 channel (left) during complex problem solving task. It indicated that all subjects presented significant left parietal lateralization for the total frequency spectrum. These results suggest that it may be possible to noninvasively lateralize, and even eventually localize, cerebral regions essential for particular mental tasks from scalp EEG data.
Energy Band Analysis of MQW Structure Based on Kronig-Penny Model  [PDF]
Yu Zhang, Yi Wang
Journal of Modern Physics (JMP) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/jmp.2013.47130

The effects of different potential well depths, well widths and barrier widths on energy band of multiple quantum well (MQW) structures are discussed in detail based on Kronig-Penny model. The results show that if the well and barrier width stay unchanged, the first and second band gaps increase linearly with the well depth. When the well depth is constant, the first and second band gaps increase exponentially with the barrier width in a wide well. However, in narrow well one, the second band gap saturates when the barrier width is wide enough. On condition that the well and barrier have equal width, the first band gap decreases exponentially with well-barrier width while the second gap still shows an exponential increase with the width. These results are insightful for the design of MQW structure optoelectronic devices.

Comparison of Single-Payer and Non Single-Payer Health Care Systems: A Study of Health Administration Efficiency  [PDF]
Jia Yu, Yi Zhang
Modern Economy (ME) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/me.2017.86057
Abstract: The United States spends nearly twice as much per capita on health care as several OECD countries. Based on previous research, universal health care decreases the total health care expenditure due to the single-payer system; it is still unknown whether a mixed health care system has superiority. In this study, we compare and evaluate both quality of care and administrative costs among six developed countries, upon three groups: single-payer universal health care system (Australia and Canada), two-tier health care system (France and Japan), and insurance mandate health care system (Switzerland and the US). The results show that both single-payer system and two-tier system are superior to insurance mandate system on health insurance administration costs. Also, regarding insurance mandate system, the healthcare system in Switzerland is more efficient than that in the US. So, we conclude that it is possible for the US to choose a diverse healthcare system, instead of focusing on one system, to trim the healthcare administration cost and improve the quality of care for the entire country.
Transformation and Upgrading of Tourism Consumption Structure in Guangdong Province  [PDF]
Yi Liu, Lu Zhang
American Journal of Industrial and Business Management (AJIBM) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/ajibm.2018.85083
Abstract: Tourism consumption structure is one of the most important standards to measure the tourism development of a country or region. Based on the domestic tourism consumption structure statistics of Guangdong Province, this article summarized the problems of domestic tourism consumption and put forward the strategies to optimize tourism consumption structure in Guangdong Province.
Exploring the General Extended Technology Acceptance Model for e-Learning Approach on Student’s Usage Intention on e-Learning System in University of Dar es Salaam  [PDF]
Flora A. Kimathi, Yi Zhang
Creative Education (CE) , 2019, DOI: 10.4236/ce.2019.101017
Abstract: Tanzania has successfully included modern information communication technology in the education system. The main concerned is to raise the standard of education. The factors that influence university student’s usage intention of e-learning for education goals in Tanzania are important?to be studied. The study employed the empirical techniques with the General Extended Technology Acceptance Models for E-learning for the aim of determining the factors that affect undergraduate student’s usage intention of e-learning system. Data collection lasted for one month with 172 undergraduate students and the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed for data analysis. The finding shows that subjective norm positively?influences?perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, experience positively influences?perceived ease of use and enjoyment positively influences?perceived ease of use. Also, computer anxiety positively influences?perceived usefulness and perceived?ease of use and perceived usefulness positively influences?intentions and perceived ease of use positively influences?perceived usefulness. This study is also one of the very few studies that use the GETAMEL model for e-learning settings in developing countries. The results have significant practical implications for educational institutions as well as decision makers in terms of the design of the e-learning system in

Acta Crystallographica Section E , 2009, DOI: 10.1107/s1600536809023599
Abstract: In the cation of the title compound, C21H16N3O2+·NO3 , the N atom in the 3-position of the imidazole ring is protonated. The three pendant aromatic rings are twisted from the plane of the imidazolium ring by dihedral angles of 22.75 (1), 79.63 (1) and 29.65 (1)°. In the crystal structure, N—H...O hydrogen bonds link the molecules, forming an infinite one-dimensional chain parallel to the b axis.
