A Real-Time Transient Analysis of a Functionally Graded Material Plate Using Reduced-Basis Methods  [PDF]

Abstract: Based on the hybrid numerical method (HNM) combining with a reduced-basis method (RBM), the real-time transient response of a functionally graded material (FGM) plates is obtained. The large eigenvalue problem in wavenumber domain has been solved through real-time off-line/on-line calculation. At off-line stage, a reduced-basis space is constructed in sample wavenumbers according to the solved eigenvalue problems. The matrices independent of parameters are projected onto the reduced-basis spaces. At on-line stage, the reduced eigenvalue problems of the arbitrary wavenumbers are built. Subsequently, the responses in wavenumber domain are obtained by the approximated eigen-pairs. Because of the application of RBM, the computational cost of transient displacement analysis of FGM plate is decreased significantly, while the accuracy of the solution and the physics of the structure are still retained. The efficiency and validity of the proposed method are demonstrated through a numerical example.
Adaptive Reduced Basis Methods Applied to Structural Dynamic Analysis  [PDF]

Abstract: The reduced basis methods (RBM) have been demonstrated as a promising numerical technique for statics problems and are extended to structural dynamic problems in this paper. Direct step-by-step integration and mode superposition are the most widely used methods in the field of the finite element analysis of structural dynamic response and solid mechanics. Herein these two methods are both transformed into reduced forms according to the proposed reduced basis methods. To generate a reduced surrogate model with small size, a greedy algorithm is suggested to construct sample set and reduced basis space adaptively in a prescribed training parameter space. For mode superposition method, the reduced basis space comprises the truncated eigenvectors from generalized eigenvalue problem associated with selected sample parameters. The reduced generalized eigenvalue problem is obtained by the projection of original generalized eigenvalue problem onto the reduced basis space. In the situation of direct integration, the solutions of the original increment formulation corresponding to the sample set are extracted to construct the reduced basis space. The reduced increment formulation is formed by the same method as mode superposition method. Numerical example is given in Section 5 to validate the efficiency of the presented reduced basis methods for structural dynamic problems.

Abstract: : The safety of Chinese agricultural land resources has already influenced the whole world’s food security. “Food Security” has become a vital issue affecting social stability. However, the current condition of Chinese agricultural land is not good. Therefore, agricultural land revolution, moderate scale management of agricultural land, and improvement of land utilization efficiency is urgently needed in China to protect the basic life line of human beings. There are lots of common places as well as unique features between Japan after World War II and China after the reform and open policy in rural land management. By analyzing these familiarities and differences, focusing on the process of Japan's revolution, and learning from Japan's successful experience in agricultural land moderate scale management, this paper wishes to be of some help in improving Chinese agricultural land moderate scale management. Abstract: People’s Mediation is a kind of dispute resolution mechanism with Chinese characteristics. In 2011, People’s Mediation Law of the People’s Republic of China has came into force. This law is formulated to solve disputes among people in a timely manner, to maintain social harmony and stability, to reduce litigation cost and to relieve the burden of involved parties and so on. However, there are various kinds of defects in system designs and legal practices, and it still needs efforts with rational thinking to improve and complement the legal system. En 2011, la loi de médiation populaire de la République populaire de Chine a entré en vigueur. Weighted tent spaces with Whitney averages: factorization, interpolation and duality

Abstract: In this paper, we introduce a new scale of tent spaces which covers, the (weighted) tent spaces of Coifman-Meyer-Stein and of Hofmann-Mayboroda-McIntosh, and some other tent spaces considered by Dahlberg, Kenig-Pipher and Auscher-Axelsson in elliptic equations. The strong factorizations within our tent spaces, with applications to quasi-Banach complex interpolation and to multiplier-duality theory, are established. This way, we unify and extend the corresponding results obtained by Coifman-Meyer-Stein, Cohn-Verbitsky and Hyt\"onen-Ros\'en.

Abstract: We prove a McShane-type identity - a series, expressed in terms of geodesic lengths, that sums to 2\pi for any closed hyperbolic surface with one distinguished point. To do so, we prove a generalized Birman-Series theorem showing that the set of complete geodesics on a hyperbolic surface with large cone angles is sparse.

Abstract:
Parents are the first teachers of their children in many aspects, including the language learning. Numerous studies have shown that parent-child reading can promote the language ability of children who are about to enter the reading stage. Moreover, good parent-child reading process can promote the child’s so-cial development. This paper mainly discusses how to improve the quality of parent-child reading based on the author’s self-analysis and related researches.

Abstract: Land use is an indicator of the interaction between human and the environment on the earth surface. Recently, an increasing attention has been paid to the issue of impact of land use and land cover change on environment and water quality. In this paper, we analyzed the land use and land cover change by using RS and GIS, and simulated its implications in runoff from 1991 to 2000 using SCS model in the Foping Nature Reserve, Shan 'xi Province. Our results showed that this region were main plantation, woodland and grassland. Woodland area increased significantly, while plantation and grassland area decreased, which would greatly affect runoff. Meanwhile, the results show that woodland area and land cover area are negatively correlated with the runoff.
