Abstract: T he change of microstructure with strain was investigated in a Fe-32Mn-5Si austenitic alloy at room temperature by X-raydiffraction profile analysis. The experimental results show that the Fe-32Mn-5Si alloy is deformed by the strain-induced γ→εtransformation and the twinning except dislocation slip at room temperature. The amount of strain-induced ε-martensite, thestacking fault probability and the twinning probability all exhibit parabolic relationship with increasing strain. The stackingfault probability is higher than the twinning probability.
Effect of carbon on the paramagnetic-antiferromagnetic transition and gamma ->epsilon martensitic transformation of Fe-24Mn alloys

Abstract: The effect of C content (0.014 similar to 0.39 wt pet) on the paramagnetic-antiferromagnetic transition and gamma --> epsilon martensitic transformation of Fe-24Mn alloys has been investigated by the resistivity, dilation, tensile properties measurement and microstructure examination. The results have shown that C decreases T-N, increases the thermal expansion coefficients both above and below the Tu, increases the resistivity above the TN and antiferromagnetic scattering resistivity below TN. It strongly depresses the gamma --> epsilon martensitic transformation and reduces the Ms of Fe-24Mn alloys. Moreover, it increases the lattice parameter of austenite, enhances the tensile ductility, but almost does not affect the tensile strength. With increasing C content from 0.014 to 0.19 wt pet, the yield strength of Fe-24Mn alloy decreases obviously arising from the decreasing of preexisting epsilon martensite, but it increases from 0.19 to 0.39 wt pet C due to the solution hardening of C.
Scheduling Algorithms Based on Weakly Hard Real-Time Constraints

Abstract: The problem of scheduling weakly hard real-time tasks is addressed in this paper. The paper first analyzes the characters of μ-pattern and weakly hard real-time constraints, then, presents two scheduling algorithms, Meet Any Algorithm and Meet Row Algorithm, for weakly hard real-time systems. Different from traditional algorithms used to guarantee deadlines, Meet Any Algorithm and Meet Row Algorithm can guarantee both deadlines and constraints. Meet Any Algorithm and Meet Row Algorithm try to find out the probabilities of tasks breaking constraints and increase task’s priority in advance, but not till the last moment. Simulation results show that these two algorithms are better than other scheduling algorithms dealing with constraints and can largely decrease worst-case computation time of real-time tasks. TU Gang received his M.S. degree in computer science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in 2001. Now he is a Ph.D. candidate in Institute of Computer Science, HUST. His research interests are real-time scheduling algorithms and embedded real-time systems. YANG FuMin is a professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He received his M.S. degree in computer science from HUST in 1989. Currently, he is the head of Embedded Real-Time Operating System Lab of HUST. His research interests cover real-time systems, embedded systems and DBMS. LU YanSheng is a professor and Ph.D. supervisor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He received his M.S. degree in computer science from HUST in 1985. Currently, he is the head of the Institute of Software of HUST. His research interests cover real-time systems, real-time DBMS and data mining.

Abstract: Large and complex real-time systems can benefit significantly from a component-based development approach where new systems are constructed by composing reusable and previously tested components, if this process of compo- nent composition can be automated, the efficiency of system development would be largely promoted. This paper pres- ents an approach with precise semantics, based on formal tools such as Timed CSP, to the specification and specifica- tion matching of real-time components(RTCS). In the context of Real-Time CORBA, this paper also discusses the method of using RTCS to automate the composition.of real-time components.

Abstract: Xanthanolides, as the sesquiterpene lactones, are reportedly the major components for the pharmacological properties of X. strumarium L. species. Phytochemical studies indicated that the glandular structures on the surface of plant tissues would form the primary sites for the accumulation of this class of the compounds. As the interface between plants and their natural enemies, glandular trichomes may vary with respect to which of their chemicals are sequestered against different herbivores in different ecologies. However, to date, no data are available on the chemical characterisation of X. strumarium glandular cells. In this study, the trichome secretions of the X. strumarium species originating from nineteen unique areas across eleven provinces in China, were analysed by HPLC, LC-ESI-MS and NMR. For the first time three distinct chemotypes of X. strumarium glandular trichomes were discovered along with the qualitative and quantitative evaluations of their presence of xanthanolides; these were designated glandular cell Types I, II, and III, respectively. The main xanthanolides in Type I cells were 8-epi-xanthatin and xanthumin while no xanthatin was detected. Xanthatin, 8-epi-xanthatin, and xanthumin dominated in Type II cells with comparable levels of each being present. For Type III cells, significantly higher concentrations of 8-epi-xanthatin or xanthinosin (relative to xanthatin) were detected with xanthinosin only being observed in this type. Further research will focus on understanding the ecological and molecular mechanism causing these chemotype differences in X. strumarium glandular structures.

Abstract: The influences of lattice parameter of austenite, the electron concentration, the yield strength of parent phase on γ→ε emartensite start temperature Ms in the Fe-Mn alloys containing C, Al, Ge and Si have been experimentally investigated. The results show that the lattice parameter of austenite is more important than the electron concentration and the yield strength of parent phase in governing the γ→ε martensitic transformation in Fe-Mn based alloys. A relation between the Ms and lattice parameter of austenite in Fe-Mn based alloys is suggested. The elements Mn, C, Al, Ge, which increase the lattice parameter of austenite lower the Ms; while the element Si, which decreases the lattice parameter increases the Ms. The depressing effect of antiferromagnetic transition on the γ→ε martensitic transformation may be related to the increase of lattice parameter due to the positive magnetostriction during the antiferromagnetic transition.
