An Empirical Research on IPO Exit Performance of ChiNext  [PDF]

Abstract: By virtue of correlation analysis and regression analysis, this paper empirically studies influencing factors of venture capital exit return based on IPO through Shenzhen ChiNext Market over the 2015 to 2016 period, and combines the empirical findings with the development status of venture capital industry in China to present some suggestions and countermeasures. The research results show: The rate of return is significantly positively correlated with operation period, investment industry and issuance price, and significantly negatively correlated with investment cycle. In addition, there is no significant correlation between rate of return and remaining variables (average price-earnings ratio of ChiNext, stock cycle, amount of management capital, investment scale and location of venture capital institutions). Based on the fresh data of the ChiNext, this paper presents the investment environment of small and medium-sized enterprises in China, which can provide good references and advices for the development and investment of the venture capital institutions. However, there may be some deviation in the conclusion of this paper due to certain subjectivity in the sample selection.
FPGA Design and Implementation of a Convolutional Encoder and a Viterbi Decoder Based on 802.11a for OFDM  [PDF]

Abstract: In this paper, a modified FPGA scheme for the convolutional encoder and Viterbi decoder based on the IEEE 802.11a standards of WLAN is presented in OFDM baseband processing systems. The proposed design supports a generic, robust and configurable Viterbi decoder with constraint length of 7, code rate of 1/2 and decoding depth of 36 symbols. The Viterbi decoder uses full-parallel structure to improve computational speed for the add-compare-select (ACS) modules, adopts optimal data storage mechanism to avoid overflow and employs three distributed RAM blocks to complete cyclic trace-back. It includes the core parts, for example, the state path measure computation, the preservation and transfer of the survivor path and trace-back decoding, etc. Compared to the general Viterbi decoder, this design can effectively decrease the 10% of chip logic elements, reduce 5% of power consumption, and increase the encoder and decoder working performance in the hardware implementation. Lastly, relevant simulation results using Verilog HDL language are verified based on a Xinlinx Virtex-II FPGA by ISE 7.1i. It is shown that the Viterbi decoder is capable of decoding (2, 1, 7) convolutional codes accurately with a throughput of 80 Mbps.

Abstract: Physical cleansing, such as bathing or washing hands, is at the core of many religious rituals, suggesting that physical cleansing ceremonies can purify the soul. The present research examines the association between physical and moral purity by the semantic priming paradigm on which the participants made a lexical decision task. There is an interaction effect between the prime word (cleaning related vs. non-cleaning related) and target word (moral related word vs. non-word) which shows a significant priming effect. Thus, we think that physical cleansing would not only associate with moral transgression in memory stage, but also the sense of high moral character in perception stage.

Property management is an important part of social management, which is directly related with national welfare and the people’s livelihood. However, since there are multiple subjects participating in property management, the conflicts of multiple parties’ interests lead to role misplacement of these subjects, which severely affects the development of the whole property management industry. Based on the situation of the subjects’ role misplacement in property management in our country, the thesis proposes correct role orientation for multiple subjects and aims to provide certain theoretical reference for the healthy development of property management industry.

Hopf Bifurcation Analysis for a Modified Time-Delay Predator-Prey System with Harvesting  [PDF]

In this paper, we consider the direction and stability of time-delay induced Hopf bifurcation in a delayed predator-prey system with harvesting. We show that the positive equilibrium point is asymptotically stable in the absence of time delay, but loses its stability via the Hopf bifurcation when the time delay increases beyond a threshold. Furthermore, using the norm form and the center manifold theory, we investigate the stability and direction of the Hopf bifurcation.

Low-frequency noises in GaAs MESFET’s currents associated with substrate conductivity and channel-substrate junction

Abstract: Low-frequency noises in GaAs MESFET are usually observed when investigating the drain current and substrate leakage current under sidegate bias conditions. Experimental results show that the magnitude of low-frequency noises is in a direct dependency upon the sidegate bias and the noises in drain current will disappear if sidegate bias increases more negatively beyond a certain voltage. A mechanism associated with the substrate conductivity and the channel-substrate junction modulated by sidegate bias is proposed to explain the fluctuation of low-frequency noises.
Effects of channel-substrate interface on hysteresis of sidegating effect in GaAs MESFETs

Abstract: With sidegating bias, hysteresis of sidegating effect is usually observed in drain current. The experimental results presented in this letter demonstrate that the hysteresis with time-based characteristics is closely related to EL2 traps and channel-substrate (C-S) junction peculiarities. The response of depletion region of C-S junction to the electron capture and emission by trap-EL2 plays an important role in the hysteresis. Furthermore, a new mechanism is proposed to explain the time-based characteristics of hysteresis, i.e., there is a “steady-state” in which the hysteresis disappears.

Abstract: We propose a scheme for probabilistic teleportation of unknown two-particle state with partly entangled four-particle state via POVM. In this scheme the teleportation of unknown two-particle state can be realized with certain probability by performing two Bell state measurements, a proper POVM and a unitary transformation.
