Wettability and In Vitro Bioactivity of Doped TiO2 Nanotubes

Abstract: With low-modulus alloys of Ti35Nb and Ti35Nb15Zr as the anodization substrates, amorphous TiO2 nanotube arrays doped by Nb and Zr elements were fabricated through a surface anodization method. The wettability and in vitro bioactivity of the doped TiO2 nanotubes and undoped nanotubes were investigated. Experimental results indicated that the existence of Nb and Zr elements in the anodic oxides could refine the diameter of the nanotubes and help to grow longer nanotubes. All of the as-anodized nanotubes demonstrated a hydrophobic behavior, which was different from those of the metallic substrate surface. The wettability of the TiO2-based nanotubes varied with the type of the substrate or dopant element. The doping with Nb element could improve the wetting behavior of the TiO2 nanotubes. And simultaneous doping with Nb and Zr elements could have more significant improvement in the wetting behavior. After immersion in simulated body fluids (SBF) the doped TiO2 nanotubes could induce a quick apatite formation. The Nb/Zr doped nanotubes presented quicker apatite formation rate than the Ti-Nb-O nanotubes did at the initial immersion stage. The above findings make it possible to further control or modify the wettability toward either hydrophobic or hydrophilic surfaces, and explore related biological properties of the doped nanotubes.

Abstract: 通过X射线衍射及磁测量手段研究了Er2AlFe16-xMnx(x=1,2,3,4,6,8)化合物的结构和磁性. 研究结果表明Er2AlFe16-xMnx化合物具有六角相的Th2Ni17型结构. 采用X射线热膨胀测定法在103—654K的温度范围内测量了Er2AlFe16-xMnx(x=1,2,3,4)化合物的热膨胀性质,发现这些化合物在低温下存在热膨胀反常现象,在居里点附近具有负膨胀性质. 对自发磁致伸缩的研究结果表明Er2AlFe16-xMnx化合物中存在着较强的各向异性的自发磁致伸缩,低温下自旋重取向的出现使得化合物的自发体磁致伸缩有所增强. 磁测量结果表明Mn的替代导致Er2AlFe16-xMnx化合物的居里温度及自发磁化强度急剧下降,并且使得化合物的磁晶各向异性发生显著改变.

Abstract: 以磷灰石-硅灰石玻璃陶瓷(AW)粉和β-磷酸三钙(β-TCP)粉为原料.以硬脂酸为致孔剂.经模压成型、1170℃烧结制备磷灰石-硅灰石/β-磷酸三钙复合多孔支架材料(AW/β-TCP).采用X射线衍射(XRD)、扫描电镜(SEM)、能谱(EDS)、诱导耦合等离子体原子发射光谱(ICP-AES)等方法分析支架的晶相组成、显微结构、物理性能、生物活性和降解性.将大鼠骨髓间充质干细胞(rMSCs)与支架体外复合培养评价支架的生物相容性.结果表明:所制备的AW/β-TCP支架材料的抗压强度达14.3MPa.孔隙率达66.9%.孔径为100-700μm.具有良好的生物相容性、生物活性和降解性.可作为骨组织工程支架的候选材料.

Abstract: The blue swimming crabs, an important commercial species, with different body-colors were discovered along the coast of East China in recent years. Both purple and tea-green crabs have similar, even the same physical characteristics except for the carapace color. In order to identify the relationships between them, we amplified and compared two conserved mitochondrial gene fragments of color-different crabs through DNA sequencing analyses. The sequence alignment analysis of color-different crabs presented 99.87% and 99.88% nucleotide sequence identity for the COI and 16S rRNA genes, respectively, indicating that there was no species or subspecies differentiation between them. Based on the alignment of nucleotide sequences, a phylogenetic tree of 16S rRNA genes from 16 species of Portunidae was constructed. It may serve as a basis for the taxonomy of portunid crabs.

Abstract: Novel magnetic bioactive glass-ceramics (MGC) in the system MgO-CaO-SiO2-P2O5-CaF2-MnO-ZnO-Fe2O3 were synthesized by doping Mn-Zn ferrite in apatite-wollastonite glass-ceramics (A-WGC). The effect of preparation methods on the magnetic performance and bioactivity of MGC was studied. The results show that apatite, wollastonite, flourapatite and Zn0.75Mn0.75Fe 1.5O4 are the main phases of MGC. Under a magnetic field of 7.96×105A·m-1, the saturation magnetization of MGC fabricated by different ways ranges from 5.4A·m2·kg-1 to 5.9A·m2·kg-1. Mn-Zn doping ferrite decreases the bioactivity of A-WGC. It takes at least 14d for a hydroxyapatite layer forming on the surface of MGC. Comparing with all the materials, the sample synthesized by mixing the heated A-WGC precursors with Mn-Zn ferrite precursor has proper magnetism and best bioactivity.

Abstract: 通过X射线衍射、磁测量及正电子湮没谱等手段研究了Tb2AlFe16-xMnx(x=1—8)化合物的结构和磁性.X射线衍射研究结果表明Tb2AlFe16-xMnx化合物具有六角相的Th2Ni17型结构.室温下的正电子湮没实验研究表明,Mn对Fe的替代导致化合物中的铁磁相互作用减弱,并且化合物中存在着较强烈的磁弹耦合效应.磁测量研究结果表明,Mn的替代导致Tb2AlFe16-xMnx化合物的居里温度及自发磁化强度急剧下降.

Abstract: 介绍了玉兰属Yulania Spach分类简史,分析了玉兰属与木兰属Magnolia L.主要分类性状及其区别。阐述了药室纵裂方向、开化时期、花蕾顶生与腋生等性状的演化关系,提出玉兰属与木兰属是趋同演化的两个分类群,花先叶开放等性状是玉兰属的重要标志,中国暖温带是该属树种的起源中心、分布中心和多样性中心等新观点。确立玉兰属的系统位置,对解决现有木兰属乃至木兰科分类系统的争论具有重要的意义。

Abstract: 辛夷与木兰是中国传统的中药材 ,也是传统的树种名称 ,栽培历史悠久。通过对辛夷与木兰进行认真细致地考证 ,首次提出 :1辛夷 L assonia quinquepeta Buc'hoz是望春玉兰 Yulania biondii(Pam p.) D.L.Fu,不是紫玉兰 Y.liliiflora(Desr.) D.L.Fu;2辛夷药材泛指玉兰属 Yulania Spach树种的干燥花蕾 ,玉兰属植物可统称为辛夷植物 ;3木兰是木莲 Manglietia fordiana Oliv.或黄心夜合 Michelia martinii(H.Lév.) Finet & Gagnep.ex H.Lév.等 ,不为玉兰属树种。纠正了现代有关工具书、植物学专著、药学专著及高等院校教材等广为认同的“辛夷即木兰、木兰即紫玉兰”的错误观点。
