Analysis on the Spinning Process and Properties of Tencel Yarn  [PDF]

Abstract: Tencel fiber, as a new type of green environmental protection fiber, is drawing attention from the society and people’s favorite. In paper, the spinning process and properties of tencel yarn were studied. Also traditional cotton yarn was tested and compared to understand tencel better as they are now both widely used in apparel. Compared with cotton yarn of the same count, the weight CV of tencel quality is lower, while the twist CV is higher; breaking elongation of tencel yarn is larger, while CV of breaking elongation of tencel yarn is slightly higher; unevenness of tencel spinning yarn is lower.
Evaluation Indexes of Degree of Closeness between Strategy and Project Portfolio Allocation  [PDF]

Abstract: The main activities in project portfolio allocation management are selecting the right project components given a strategy. It is crucial to establish a scientific system of evaluation indexes to guarantee the closeness between strategy and project portfolio allocation optimally. With organizations growing in sizes, the functions and objectives of project components are becoming more and more different. It is necessary to set evaluation indexes of the degree of closeness from the perspectives of financial, market share, social effects, and so on according to the strategy-oriented process of project portfolio allocation. This paper proposes a project portfolio allocation process under strategic orientation and evaluation indexes of the degree of closeness between strategy and project portfolio allocation. This will help projects managers make portfolio allocation decisions.
The association between online gaming, social phobia, and depression: an internet survey

Abstract: An online questionnaire was designed and posted on a popular online game websites, inviting the online gamers to participate the survey. The content of the questionnaire included demographic data, profiles of internet usage and online gaming, and self-rating scales of Depression and Somatic Symptoms Scale (DSSS), Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN), and Chen Internet Addiction Scale (CIAS).A total of 722 online gamers with a mean age of 21.8?±?4.9?years completed the online survey within one month. 601 (83.2%) participants were male, and 121 (16.8%) were female. The mean weekly online gaming time was 28.2?±?19.7 hours, which positively associated with history of online gaming (r?=?0.245, p?<?0.001), total DSSS (r?=?0.210, p?<?0.001), SPIN (r?=?0.150, p?<?0.001), and CIAS (r?=?0.290, p?<?0.001) scores. The female players had a shorter history of online gaming (6.0?±?3.1 vs. 7.2?±?3.6?years, p?=?0.001) and shorter weekly online gaming hours (23.2?±?17.0 vs. 29.2?±?20.2 hours, p?=?0.002), but had higher DSSS (13.0?±?9.3 vs. 10.9?±?9.7, p?=?0.032) and SPIN (22.8?±?14.3 vs. 19.6?±?13.5, p?=?0.019) scores than the male players. The linear regression model showed that higher DSSS scores were associated with female gender, higher SPIN scores, higher CIAS scores, and longer weekly online gaming hours, with controlling for age and years of education.The online gamers with longer weekly gaming hours tended to have a longer history of online gaming, and more severe depressive, social phobic, and internet addiction symptoms. Female online gamers had fewer weekly online gaming hours and a shorter previous online gaming history, but tended to have more severe somatic, pain, and social phobic symptoms. Abstract: 随着城市化进程加快和人口剧增,城市污泥已成为世界许多城市面临的主要环境问题之一,且不合理的管理可引发严重的环境污染.城市污泥含有大量、微量元素和有机质,可能对土壤及其生产力有利,特别对退化土壤能进行有机修复,并改善土壤理化特性,譬如土壤结构和营养含量.目前,污泥作为一种有机肥料已成为普遍措施.但来自工业及生活污水的污泥常含有重金属、病原物及有毒有机物等,潜在的毒性可能对生态系统构成危险,因此必须经过污泥预处理才可安全施用.评述了近年来国内外污泥应用于陆地生态系统4个方面的主要研究进展:(1)污泥处理与处置方法;(2)污泥应用于农田、草地及森林生态系统;(3)污泥对土壤生态系统的影响,包括污泥对土壤理化性质、土壤酶及微生物的影响;(4)污泥应用的环境效应.提出未来我国污泥处置及利用需要重视的研究领域和方向.
Study of Compressible Flow Measurement based on Seven-Hole Probe

Abstract: This paper presents a calibrating method of measuring relative flow velocity, flow angle, local total and static pressure for subsonic compressible flows using seven-hole probe. Seven-hole probe (SHP) is a device that can simultaneously measure the pressure and velocity of a steady flow, especially the parameters of compressible flow. However, the costly and time-consuming calibration impedes its extensive application. Study of calibration and measurement method for compressible flow was carried out using seven-hole probe (SHP) based on the data from numerical simulation. Results show that the accuracy of calibration fitting of flow angle is about 2%, the relative value of both total pressure and static pressure are less than 3%. These results are better than experimental calibration accuracy in the same situation. In practice, this method is used to replace or guide traditional experimental calibration method, it can save a lot of calibration time and cost, so that seven-hole probe measurement for subsonic compressible flow has become simple and feasible.
Application of Boosting-based Decision Tree Ensemble Classifiers for Discrimination of Thermophilic and Mesophilic Proteins

Abstract: In this paper, the Boosting-based decision tree ensemble classifiers were applied to discriminate thermophilic and mesophilic proteins. Three methods, namely, self-consistency test, 5-fold cross-validation and independent testing with other dataset, were used to evaluate the performance and robust of the models. Logitboost, as a novel classifier in Boosting algorithm, performed better than Adaboost. The overall accuracy of the three methods was 100% ,88.4% and 89.5% , respectively. It was demonstrated that LogitBoost performed comparably or even better than that of neural network, a very powerful classifier widely used in biological literatures. The influence of protein size on discrimination was addressed. It is anticipated that the power in predicting many bio-macromolecular attributes will be further strengthened if the Boosting and some other existing algorithms can be effectively complemented with each other.
A Study on the Pattern Recognition of Thermophilic and Mesophilic Proteins

Abstract: Pattern recognition of thermophilic and mesophilic proteins were studied through principle component analysis, partial least-square regression and BP neural network. The results showed that the fitting accuracy of the three methods was 92% , 95% and 98% , respectively. And the forecasting accuracy was 60% , 72.5% and 72.5%, respectively. The best forecasting accuracy for thermophilic proteins was 75%, and for mesophilic proteins was 85%. A mathematical model was established and the biological meaning of it was expatiated on, a new method to discriminate the thermophilic and mesophilic proteins based on their sequences was established here.
A Study on the Discrimination of Thermophilic and Mesophilic Proteins Based on Dipeptide Composition

Abstract: In this work, the dipeptide composition of 3216 thermophilic and 4007 mesophilic protein sequences was systematically analyzed. We found that the thermophilic proteins contained more dipeptides such as EE,EK,KE,VE,EI,KI,EV,KK,VK and IE, whereas less dipeptides such as AA,LL,LA,AL,QA,QL,AQ,LT,TL and EQ. Based on this information, a statistical method for discriminating thermophilic and mesophilic proteins was developed. Our approach correctly picked up the thermophilic proteins with the accuracy of 94.0% and 89%, respectively, for the testing sets of 382 and 73 thermophilic proteins. And for the testing 325 and 73 mesophilic proteins, the accuracy was 85.2% and 89%, respectively. The influence of specific dipeptides on discrimination was also discussed.
A High-Resolution Method for 2D DOA Estimation

Abstract: A high-resolution algorithm for 2D DOA estimation is proposed to reduce the computational complexity of traditional high-resolution methods. The objective function of the optimization issue based on norm constraint is developed firstly. Then the sparse solution corresponding to the received data along the azimuth dimension is deduced by solving the minimization problem using the iteration algorithm, then it is used to obtain the angular frequencies in which azimuth and elevation angles are coupled, and signals of different angular frequencies are separated. Finally, the sparse solution relating to each signal is obtained to get the elevation angle and then compute the corresponding azimuth angle. A modified method is presented to overcome the blind angular region problem occurred in the algorithm. Compared with the traditional high-resolution methods, the proposed method has lower SNR threshold and simple procedure to achieve high precision with lower sidelobe level. Numerical simulation results verify the effectiveness of the method.

Abstract: A cataphoretic input of calcium vapour into the active volume of pulsed He-Ca+ laser is designed and made. The recombination laser at 373.3nm and the R-M transition laser at 854.6nm are achieved experimentally with modified Blumlein circuit by high-frequency longitudinal pulsed discharge. The dependences of work parameters such as the pulse frequency, the power supply voltage and the helium pressure on laser output characteristics at 373.3nm line are measured and discussed. The maximum laser output power of 136mW and the specific power of 5.9mW/cm3 are obtained, respectively
