Jaramillo-Cardona,Martha C.;
Revista de Salud Pública , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S0124-00642007000400002
Abstract: objective documenting, defining and examining the state of baja california’s performance in decentralising public health service policy from the signing of the transfer agreement in 1996 up to 2004. methods this was a comparative study based on secondary information from 1996-2004. four key categories were analysed: availability, accessibility, equity and health service quality. these categories formed part of the main goals in decentralising health service policy in mexico and also took the health standards set by the world health organization and the pan american health organization into account. results the results revealed that decentralising health policy in baja california from 1996-2004 had not ensured this policy’s core objectives: availability, accessibility, equity, and health service quality. conclusions the population in baja california having medical insurance had more resources than that part of the population lacking it, a factor without doubt influencing health services not providing equity, availability, accessibility and quality.
Cognition, social cognition and social functioning in schizophrenia
Paola Jaramillo,Inmaculada Fuentes,Juan C. Ruiz
Psychology, Society & Education , 2009,
Abstract: The discoveries continually being made in the study of schizophrenia have shown the complexity of this serious mental disorder. Research has enabled intervention to be redirected to focus on areas of maximum impact and efficacy. Currently, studies concur that the majority of people with schizophrenia exhibit deficits in non-social cognitive functioning, in performance in social cognition tasks and clearly in social functioning. This article aims to give a concise overview of developments made in these three areas and the importance of the subsequent relations between them.
UNA FORMA DE SIMPLIFICAR POTENCIAS TRIGONOMéTRICAS
AUGUSTO CANO JARAMILLO,ALEXANDER MOLINA C.
Scientia Et Technica , 2009,
Four-boson bound states from a functional renormalisation group
Benjamin Jaramillo Avila,Michael C. Birse
Physics , 2015, DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevA.92.023601
Abstract: We use the functional renormalisation group to study the spectrum of three- and four-body states in bosonic systems around the unitary limit. Our effective action includes all energy-independent contact interactions in the four-atom sector and we introduce a running trimer field to eliminate couplings that involve the atom-atom-dimer channel. The results show qualitatively similar behaviour to those from exact approaches. The truncated action we use leads to overbinding of the two four-body states seen in those treatments. It also generates a third state, although only for a very narrow range of two-body scattering lengths.
Universal behaviour of four-boson systems from a functional renormalisation group
Benjamin Jaramillo Avila,Michael C. Birse
Physics , 2013, DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevA.88.043613
Abstract: We apply a functional renormalisation group to systems of four bosonic atoms close to the unitary limit. We work with a local effective action that includes a dynamical trimer field and we use this field to eliminate structures that do not correspond to the Faddeev-Yakubovsky equations. In the physical limit, we find three four-body bound states below the shallowest three-body state. The values of the scattering lengths at which two of these states become bound are in good agreement with exact solutions of the four-body equations and experimental observations. The third state is extremely shallow. During the evolution we find an infinite number of four-body states based on each three-body state which follow a double-exponential pattern in the running scale. None of the four-body states shows any evidence of dependence on a four-body parameter.

Biotecnología en el Sector Agropecuario y Agroindustrial , 2011,
Abstract: pesticides have been used worldwide since the mid-twentieth century, public health campaigns and agricultural practices. organochlorine pesticides (pocs) have greater impact on the environment because they are not biodegradable, are lipophilic, have great mobility around the globe and greater tendency to bioaccumulate through the food chain. in order to identify and quantify organochlorine pesticides in pasteurized whole milk, two brands (a and b), sold in the city of cartagena de indias, the present investigation was carried out using solid phase microextraction headspace chromatography gas with electron capture detector(hs-spme-gc/ecd). 36 samples were analyzed (n = 36), 18 from each brand. 100% of the samples (n = 36) were positive for the pesticide lindane (γ-hch), exceeding the maximum residual limit (mrl) of 0.01 mg / kg, set by the food and agriculture organization and the world health organization (fao/who). the average concentrations obtained for brand a were of 0.042 mg/ kg ± 0.003and0.062 ± 0.0016mg/kg (fatbasis) for brand b, notexceeding the acceptable daily intake (adi) of 0.001 mg / kg body weight.

DYNA , 2009,
Abstract: modeling problems involving bivariate dependent data is very important in many areas, such as finance, actuary, reliability and survival analysis. in the literature, some copula models have been widely used to modelling dependent multivariate distributions, among which stands out the archimedean copula class. this paper presents a methodology to select from some archimedean copula models the one that fits the best to a dependent dataset, using goodness-of-fit plots, q-q plots and cramér-von mises goodness-of-fit test. we illustrated the methodology using simulated data and data from insurance claims. the results showed that the data insurance fits to a bivariate model based on the so called frank's copula with lognormal marginals.
