Analysis of the Restrictive Elements of China's Textile Industry in Upgrading Based on “Value Chain”

Abstract: Our country’s textile industry is in the producing and processing field in the global value chain, so textiles’ added value is low and profit margins is narrow. Developed countries take up fields of high-grade fabrics production and advanced textile machinery manufacture. Because textile fabrics, textile machinery and equipment of China's textile industry fall behind developed countries, product quality and product variety can not yet fully meet the market demand, and can not compete with developed countries. In order to quicken the upgrade pace of textile industry, this paper brings forward some measures on the Chinese textile fabrics and textile machinery deficiencies.
A Study on the Relationship between Tourism Industry and Regional Economic Growth—A Case Study of Jiangsu Gaochun District  [PDF]

According to the tourism income and GDP data of Gaochun district from year 2001 to 2011, by using ADF unit root test, it can draw to a conclusion that the series of the economic growth (GDP) and the tourism revenue (TOUR) of Gaochun district shows first-order difference stationary. This paper confirms that there is a long-term integration relationship between the economic growth of Gaochun and tourism revenue and study the dynamic coherence between economic growth and tourism revenue by using error correction model and dynamic conditional correlation. As is shown by the Granger causality test, “GDP of Gaochun is the Granger reason for tourism revenue” while “tourism revenue is not the Granger reason for GDP”.

Abstract: Concurrency control has always been one of the most important issues in the design of synchronous groupware systems with fully-replicated architecture. An ideal strate- gy should be able to support natural and flexible human-to-computer and human-to-human interactions while maintaining the consistency of the system. This paper summarizes previ- ous researches on this topic and points out the deficiencies of the existing results. A novel semantics-based concurrency control framework, oodOPT is proposed. The main idea of the framework is to resolve conflicts by utilizing semantics of the operations and the accessed data objects. With this approach, complexities in concurrency control are shifted completely from application developers to the framework. Conflicts among operations on objects with different semantics and the strategies resolving these conflicts are analyzed. After describing the algo- rithm in full detail, the discussion ends up with a comparison with other related work and some considerations for open problems.
Association between MLH1 -93G>A Polymorphism and Risk of Colorectal Cancer

Abstract: Background The -93G>A (rs1800734) polymorphism located in the promoter of mismatch repair gene, MLH1, has been identified as a low-penetrance variant for cancer risk. Many published studies have evaluated the association between the MLH1 -93G>A polymorphism and colorectal cancer (CRC) risk. However, the results remain conflicting rather than conclusive. Objective The aim of this study was to assess the association between the MLH1 -93G>A polymorphism and the risk of CRC. Methods To derive a more precise estimation of the association, a meta-analysis of six studies (17,791 cases and 13,782 controls) was performed. Odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to evaluate the strength of the association. Four of these published studies were performed on subjects of known microsatellite instability (MSI) status. An additional analysis including 742 cases and 10,895 controls was used to assess the association between the MLH1 -93G>A polymorphism and the risk of MSI-CRC. Results The overall results indicated that the variant genotypes were associated with a significantly increased risk of CRC (AG versus GG: OR = 1.06, 95% CI = 1.01–1.11; AA/AG versus GG: OR = 1.06, 95% CI = 1.01–1.11). This increased risk was also found during stratified analysis of MSI status (AA versus GG: OR = 2.52, 95% CI = 1.94–3.28; AG versus GG: OR = 1.29, 95% CI = 1.10–1.52; AA/AG versus GG: OR = 1.45, 95% CI = 1.24–1.68; AA versus AG/GG: OR = 2.29, 95% CI = 1.78–2.96). Egger’s test did not show any evidence of publication bias. Conclusion Our results suggest that the MLH1 -93G>A polymorphism may contribute to individual susceptibility to CRC and act as a risk factor for MSI-CRC.
Comparative Study of Somatostatin-Human Serum Albumin Fusion Proteins and Natural Somatostatin on Receptor Binding, Internalization and Activation

Abstract: Albumin fusion technology, the combination of small molecular proteins or peptides with human serum albumin (HSA), is an effective method for improving the medicinal values of natural small molecular proteins or peptides. However, comparative studies between HSA-fusion proteins or peptides and the parent small molecules in biological and molecular mechanisms are less reported. In this study, we examined the binding property of two novel somatostatin-HSA fusion proteins, (SST14)2-HSA and (SST28)2-HSA, to human SSTRs in stably expressing SSTR1-5 HEK 293 cells; observed the regulation of receptor internalization and internalized receptor recycling; and detected the receptors activation of HSA fusion proteins in stably expressing SSTR2- and SSTR3-EGFP cells. We showed that both somatostatin-HSA fusion proteins had high affinity to all five SSTRs, stimulated the ERK1/2 phosphorylation and persistently inhibited the accumulation of forskolin-stimulated cAMP in SSTR2- and SSTR3-expressing cells; but were less potent than the synthetic somatostatin-14 (SST-14). Our experiments also showed that somatostatin-HSA fusion proteins did not induce the receptors internalization; rather, they accelerated the recycling of the internalized receptors induced by SST-14 to the plasma membrane. Our results indicated that somatostatin-HSA fusion proteins, different from SST-14, exhibit some particular properties in binding, regulating, and activating somatostatin receptors.

Abstract: 以金沙江一级支流马过河流域为研究对象,在GIS支持下,分析水利工程建设前后(2002年~2013年)流域土地利用类型、植被覆盖度变化;应用缓冲区分析法,选取斑块密度、边缘密度、分维数、蔓延度、香浓多样性指数等对景观结构变化进行评价,分析了水利工程建设前后流域景观结构的变化.结果表明:流域内不同地利用类型均发生了变化,流域尺度上表现为人工表面、水田面积明显增加,草地、水体、灌木等面积明显减少,但流域主要植被类型未发生变化,仍以森林为主;高覆盖度植被分布面积有一定程度减小,但总体仍以中覆盖度、中高覆盖度和高覆盖度面积最大;2013年的斑块密度、边缘密度、分维数值均高于2002年,2013年蔓延度指数低于2002年,香浓多样性指数变化不大;水利工程建设使区域景观异质性增强,在水电开发缓冲区1 000 m范围内景观格局变化明显, 1 000 m范围外变化减弱.

Abstract: More than 1000 Chinese rural banks’ asset size exceeded trillion in 2015, but they have problems in low operating efficiency, information asymmetry between rural banks and villagers, poor public trust, insufficient absorption capacity and low social awareness. Should rural banks still stick to the rural areas? What’s the way to develop the rural financial market at present? With Bourdieu’s practice theory, this paper analyses the transformation practice of “the Bank-Government miaxture” model of the Wuwei Rural Bank in China. The Wuwei Rural Bank plants habitus, field and capital (mainly symbolic capital and social capital) into the transformation practice. This paper benefits from a particular ethnography enriched by the oral reviews and engaged observations in two years of fieldwork. Thirty-four depth interviews were conducted, involving the Wuwei Rural Bank’s staffs, the mayors of 21 towns, convenience stores staffs, school principals, clinic employees and many villagers. Analysing the capital and changing the habitus of the villagers makes the transformation successful. It gives a new perspective for the path of rural bank’s transformation.
Comparative Genomics Study of Multi-Drug-Resistance Mechanisms in the Antibiotic-Resistant Streptococcus suis R61 Strain

Abstract: Background Streptococcus suis infections are a serious problem for both humans and pigs worldwide. The emergence and increasing prevalence of antibiotic-resistant S. suis strains pose significant clinical and societal challenges. Results In our study, we sequenced one multi-drug-resistant S. suis strain, R61, and one S. suis strain, A7, which is fully sensitive to all tested antibiotics. Comparative genomic analysis revealed that the R61 strain is phylogenetically distinct from other S. suis strains, and the genome of R61 exhibits extreme levels of evolutionary plasticity with high levels of gene gain and loss. Our results indicate that the multi-drug-resistant strain R61 has evolved three main categories of resistance. Conclusions Comparative genomic analysis of S. suis strains with diverse drug-resistant phenotypes provided evidence that horizontal gene transfer is an important evolutionary force in shaping the genome of multi-drug-resistant strain R61. In this study, we discovered novel and previously unexamined mutations that are strong candidates for conferring drug resistance. We believe that these mutations will provide crucial clues for designing new drugs against this pathogen. In addition, our work provides a clear demonstration that the use of drugs has driven the emergence of the multi-drug-resistant strain R61.
Comparative genomic analysis of Streptococcus suis reveals significant genomic diversity among different serotypes

Abstract: Four Chinese S. suis strains belonging to serotypes 1, 7, 9 and 1/2 were sequenced using a rapid, high-throughput approach. Based on the 13 corresponding serotype strains, including 9 previously completed genomes of this bacterium, a full comparative genomic analysis was performed. The results provide evidence that (i) the pan-genome of this species is open and the size increases with addition of new sequenced genomes, (ii) strains of serotypes 1, 3, 7 and 9 are phylogenetically distinct from serotype 2 strains, but all serotype 2 strains, plus the serotype 1/2 and 14 strains, are very closely related. (iii) all these strains, except for the serotype 1 strain, could harbor a recombinant site for a pathogenic island (89 K) mediated by conjugal transfer, and may have the ability to gain the 89 K sequence.There is significant genomic diversity among different strains in S. suis, and the gain and loss of large amount of genes are involved in shaping their genomes. This is indicated by (i) pairwise gene content comparisons between every pair of these strains, (ii) the open pan-genome of this species, (iii) the observed indels, invertions and rearrangements in the collinearity analysis. Phylogenetic relationships may be associated with serotype, as serotype 2 strains are closely related and distinct from other serotypes like 1, 3, 7 and 9, but more strains need to be sequenced to confirm this.Streptococcus suis (S. suis) is a major swine pathogen responsible for severe economic losses in the pork industry and is emerging as an important threat to human health, especially to people who have close contact with swine or pork by-products [1-3].
