Los itinerarios culturales: caracterización y desafíos de una nueva categoría del patrimonio cultural mundial

Abstract: this paper studies in depth the progress that cultural routes, as a new category of world cultural heritage, introduce in heritage protection, as a result of their multidimensional, transnational and wide territorial extension. for this purpose it focuses on both its scientific definition and its differentiation from other heritage categories, as well as on the challenges that set out its full assumption in the framework of the convention concerning the protection of world cultural and natural heritage. to this end we analyze the doctrinal documents developed by the international committee on cultural routes of icomos, their inadequate assimilation in the operational guidelines for the implementation of the world heritage convention and the nomination of various cultural routes (or segments of), that have been inscribed according to other heritage categories, resulting in their underrepresentation in the world heritage list. finally, we suggest some lines of work that should be addressed in the future to achieve a better recognition and assimilation of cultural routes, focusing on the development of new principles and guidelines that are adequate to their peculiarities and able to improve the reporting and evaluation procedures of such nominations, as well as their subsequent homogeneous and shared management.

Abstract: The ways for improving on techniques for finding new solvable potentials based on supersymmetry and shape invariance has been discussed by Morales et al. [1] In doing so they address the peculiar system known as the one-dimensional hydrogen atom. In this paper we show that their remarks on such problem are mistaken. We do this by explicitly constructing both the one-dimensional Coulomb potential and the superpotential associated with the problem, objects whose existence are denied in the mentioned paper.

Thermodynamic quantities of solvation and dilution for some acetanilide derivatives in octanol and water mutually saturateds

Abstract: based on published thermodynamic quantities for solution, partitioning and sublimation of acetanilide (acn), acetaminophen (acp) and phenacetin (pnc), the thermodynamic quantities for drugs solvation in octanol-saturated water (w(roh)) and water-saturated octanol (roh(w)) as well as the drugs dilution in roh(w) were calculated. the gibbs energies of solvation were favourable in all cases. the respective enthalpies and entropies were negative indicating an enthalpy-driving for the solvation process in all cases. on the other hand, the gibbs energies of dilution were favourable for acp and pnc but unfavourable for acn, whereas the respective enthalpies and entropies were negative for acp and pnc but positive for acn indicating enthalpy-driving for the dilution process in the case of the former drugs and entropy-driving for the latter. from the obtained values for the transfer processes, an interpretation based on solute-solvent interactions was developed.

Abstract: the control of infectious diseases is essential in the success of salmon aquaculture. genetic improvement of disease resistance may provide a feasible and sustainable option for the management of these diseases. marker-assisted selection (mas) or gene-assisted selection (gas), represent a valuable alternative to the conventional schemes for improving disease resistance using pedigree. nevertheless a previous knowledge of the genetic factors involved in the trait is necessary to implement this methodology. in this review, the most important aspects of genetic resistance to infectious diseases in salmonids and their suitability for breeding programmes are both reviewed and discussed. firstly, we briefly mention the most important infectious diseases in chile. furthermore, we include aspects related with conventional breeding for this quantitative trait, such as selection criteria, genetic variation of resistance and genetic correlations with other traits. we also review three approaches used in molecular identification of genetic factors involved in resistance: candidate genes, with particular emphasis on the major histocompatibility complex (mhc) or mh genes, detection of quantitative trait loci (qtl) and gene expression studies. finally, we discuss the use of this information in the implementation of breeding schemes that include disease resistance in their breeding goal.

Abstract: Los microARNs son ARN peque os de aproximadamente 22 nucleótidos de longitud que participan en la regulación de muchos procesos celulares y, su alteración está asociada con el desarrollo de diferentes patologías, especialmente cáncer. Gracias al uso de las herramientas de bioinformática es posible determinar su distribución en el genoma y sus funciones en diferentes tejidos. La mayoría de microARNs son producidos en una vía canónica a partir de un transcripto primario largo, en un proceso secuencial de dos reacciones guiadas principalmente por dos enzimas, Drosha en el núcleo y Dicer en el citoplasma. Sin embargo, actualmente han sido descritas algunas vías no canónicas de generación de microARNs. El objetivo de esta revisión es describir el proceso de generación de microARNs y la maquinaria involucrada en su generación con el propósito de lograr alcanzar un mejor entendimiento de los diferentes procesos en los cuales están involucrados. Abstract: El control de las enfermedades infecciosas es fundamental en el éxito del cultivo del salmón. El mejoramiento genético de la resistencia a enfermedades puede otorgar una opción factible y sustentable para el control de éstas. La Selección Asistida por Marcadores Moleculares (MAS) o Genes (GAS) se proyecta como una valiosa alternativa al mejoramiento convencional de la resistencia. Sin embargo, para implementar esta metodología es necesario el conocimiento previo de los factores genéticos involucrados en el carácter. En este trabajo se revisan y se discuten los aspectos más relevantes de la resistencia genética a enfermedades infecciosas en salmónidos y su aplicabilidad a programas de mejoramiento. En primer lugar, se presentan brevemente las enfermedades infecciosas más relevantes a nivel nacional. Además, se incluyen aspectos relacionados con el mejoramiento convencional para este rasgo cuantitativo, tales como criterios de selección, variación genética de la resistencia y correlaciones genéticas con otros caracteres de interés productivo. Por otra parte, se revisan tres aproximaciones moleculares utilizadas en la identificación de los factores genéticos involucrados en la resistencia: genes candidatos, con especial énfasis en el complejo mayor de histocompatibilidad (MHC) o genes MH, detección de loci de efecto cuantitativo (QTL) y estudios de expresión génica. Finalmente, se revisa y se discute en relación a la utilización de esta información molecular en la implementación de programas de mejoramiento genético que incluyan la resistencia a enfermedades infecciosas dentro de su objetivo de selección.
