Asl? Sedef Can,Meryem Sedef Erdal,Sevgi Güng?r,Yldzzsoy
Molecules , 2013, DOI: 10.3390/molecules18055455
Abstract: The aim of this study was to develop novel transdermal films of ondansetron HCl with high molecular weight chitosan as matrix polymer and 2-(2-ethoxy-ethoxy) ethanol (Transcutol ?) as plasticizer. In this context, firstly the physicochemical properties of gels used to formulate transdermal films were characterized and, physicochemical properties and bioadhesiveness of the transdermal films prepared with chitosan gels were assessed. The impact of three different types of terpenes, namely limonene, nerolidol and eucalyptol on in vitro skin permeation of ondansetron from transdermal films were also examined. ATR-FTIR measurements were performed to investigate the effects of the chitosan film formulations on in vitro conformational order of stratum corneum intercellular lipids after 24 h permeation study. The results showed that the chitosan gels consisting of Transcutol ? as plasticizer and terpenes as penetration enhancer may be used to prepare transdermal films of ondansetron due to the good mechanical properties and bioadhesiveness of the transdermal films. Eucalyptol (1%) showed higher permeation enhancer effect than the other terpenes and control. ATR-FTIR data confirmed that finding in which eucalyptol induced a blue shift in the both CH2 asymmetric and symmetric absorbance peak positions indicating increased lipid fluidity of stratum corneum.
Ge mi ten Bugüne üsküdar Ayazma Mahallesi’nde Yap -Mekan li kisi///From Past to Present Structure and Place Relationship in the Ayazma District of üsküdar

History Studies : International Journal of History , 2013, DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.9737/historys_715
Abstract: The senior Byzantine administrators used the Ayazma (holy water) district of Uskudar as a summer residential place. This article examines the history of Ayazma and argues that the religious and political significance of Ayazma was carried to the Ottoman period. The district of Ayazma in üsküdar is located between emsi Pa a and hsaniye districts and it overlooks the Bosphorous and the Marmara Sea. The Rüstem Pasha family improved the district with their charity and built a water fountain, a school, and the road along with a palace and a garden. The mosque built in the palace garden in the second half of the 18th century has ever since remained as the silhouette of üsküdar.

History Studies : International Journal of History , 2011,
Abstract: We surmise that The Bostandji Ojaq of Edirne which made significant services in Edirne at 15th-19thcenturies was founded during the reign of Fatih. This ojaq, the construction of whom finished in 1454 , and founded to be employed in the gardens of Yeni Saray in Edirne, also, fulfills a lot of functions such as policing the country, putting down revolts, assembling troops, working in the constructions of the buildings belonging to the government, collecting the government property, enterring wars, executing some important statesmen, supplying ammunitions and conveying them. The Bostandji Ojaq of Edirne was abolished in the year 1826 whose present soldiers varied between 300 and 1000, and which had maintained its existence for four centuries.

New vaccines for adolescents
Turk Pediatri Ar?ivi , 2011,
Abstract: Recent recommendations from Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Academy of Family Physicians (AFM) and the American Medical Association (AMA) for vaccination of adolescents are based on current information about each vaccine. They suggest integration of vaccines recommended for children 11 and 18 years of age to the routine vaccination programme of childhood. According to this new strategy, better immunisation coverage and adherence to the hepatitis B, hepatitis A, tetanus and diphtheria toxoids, acellular pertussis (Tdap), measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), varicella, pneumococcal, meningococcal and human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines will be achieved in adolescents. Turk Pediatri Ar?ivi , 2009,
Abstract: Iron deficiency anemia is the most frequent and widespread anemia around the world. Its prevalence is increased in infants and adolescent girls. The etiologic factors may vary but anemia is essentially related to iron-deficient nutrition, blood loss and malabsorption. Children may have paleness, cardiovascular and neurologic impacts of anemia, pica, epithelial changes as koilonychia, glossitis, angular stomatitis. Treatment is by oral or parenteral supplementation of iron. (Turk Arch Ped 2009; 44 Suppl: 14-8)
Letter as a Writing to Learn Activity and the Addressee
Ali Yldz
Mevlana International Journal of Education , 2012,
Abstract: The main purpose of this research was to study how the instructiveness of the letter, one of the writing to learn activities; changes according to the person to whom it is written (the addressee). The document analysis method was used in this qualitative study. Since documents are very important information sources used effectively in qualitative studies, their authenticity is important. The book named “Letters from Father In nü to Erdal In nü” published by Bilgi Publishing in 1988 and prepared for printing by Sevgi zel with the permission of the In nü Foundation and the letters published under the title “The letters of Erdal In nü to his father” by Can Dündar in his column in the Milliyet on 17, June, 2007 were analysed using the qualitative analysis method. It was analysed in the study that how the instructiveness of the letters (1947-1951) whose content was only related to physics and written from father to son and from son to father changed according to the addressee. The documents analysed in this study provide the first three stages of document analysis, which has five stages namely; access to the documents, control of their authenticity, understanding the documents, analysis of the data and the use of the data. The findings of the research support the views of the students, who stated that they had written more clearly to students who were younger than they were or studying in the subclasses than they had written to their teachers in the studies conducted previously.

Abstract: Our knowledge of the musical vision of the fourteenth century in the Islamic world is very insufficient because of the lack of sources and relevant research. However, this century is a very important period in which the musical system of Safiyyüdd n was discussed and annotated, and so it prepared the ground for the coming of an important scholar such as Merag . In addition, the names of the tones (desat n) appear for the first time in a source. In this article, I have analyzed the understanding of music, music theory, and musical instruments of the fourteenth century, deriving information from a Persian treatise named Kenzü’t-Tuhaf written by Hasan Ka an in the fourteenth century.

Abstract: The usage of energy is as old as humanity itself. From past to present, humans has used energy to sat isfy their most basic needs like providing themselves heat and for nutrition. Thereafter, energy started to be used for industrial activities. With the transition in the production process after the Industrial Revolution, energy became one of the most strategic requirements for nations. The foundation of the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) in 1951 and the establishment of the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom) stemming from the Treaty of Rome in 1957, and the European Economic Community (EEC) laid the foundations of the European Union (EU). Two thirds of the organizations which founded the EU have focused onenergy which shows the importance of issues related to energy sharing in the establishment of the Union. In this article, EU energy policies are discussed within the context of energy supply security, focusing firstly on how the general lines of the EU’s energy profile will unfold along with their strengths and weaknesses. It will then continue by discussing the historical process energy policies of the Union will be determined. In the following section, this article will attempt to ascertain the degree of energy supply security in the EU as well as examine the policies of the Union within the context of increasing security in energy supply.
