Abstract: The main purpose of this article is considering the persistence non-autonomous Lotka-Volterra system with predator-prey ratio-dependence and density dependence. We get the sufficient conditions of persistence of system, further have the necessary conditions, also the uniform persistence condition, which can be easily checked for the model is obtained.

Abstract: This research focused on the university curriculum satisfaction among college graduates and adopted the structure of close-ended and the Likert-Scale five-point measure questionnaire. This design is applied to 2795 graduates within three years of graduation from Shandong province. Results: On the whole, in Shandong province the level of satisfaction is not high, especially for the curriculum system and content. The degree of satisfaction of the postgraduates is higher than that of the employed students. Engineering graduates’ satisfaction is lower than that of other three specialties.

Abstract: This research focused on the cognition differences of candidates for Ed. M. in mathematics and reviewers towards dissertation. We showed 3 different levels dissertations to 37 candidates and 5 reviewers and analyzed the scores mean on 55 items. The results indicated that most candidates’ cognitions towards dissertation were quite different from reviewers’, especially the cognitions on dissertation literature review, question expressing and analysis, research methods, research works, application of professional knowledge, results and conclusion. These candidates’ cognitions were overall superficial and not in place; even some of them were inexact or false. So the supervisors should introduce candidates for Ed. M. in mathematics some fundamental, concrete and detailed knowledge about dissertation in order to help them write out a good dissertation.
Ionic Liquid-Based Microwave-Assisted Extraction of Flavonoids from Bauhinia championii (Benth.) Benth.

Abstract: An ionic liquids (IL)-based microwave-assisted approach for extraction and determination of flavonoids from Bauhinia championii (Benth.) Benth. was proposed for the first time. Several ILs with different cations and anions and the microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) conditions, including sample particle size, extraction time and liquid-solid ratio, were investigated. Two M 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide ([bmim] Br) solution with 0.80 M HCl was selected as the optimal solvent. Meanwhile the optimized conditions a ratio of liquid to material of 30:1, and the extraction for 10 min at 70 °C. Compared with conventional heat-reflux extraction (CHRE) and the regular MAE, IL-MAE exhibited a higher extraction yield and shorter extraction time (from 1.5 h to 10 min). The optimized extraction samples were analysed by LC-MS/MS. IL extracts of Bauhinia championii (Benth.)Benth consisted mainly of flavonoids, among which myricetin, quercetin and kaempferol, β-sitosterol, triacontane and hexacontane were identified. The study indicated that IL-MAE was an efficient and rapid method with simple sample preparation. LC-MS/MS was also used to determine the chemical composition of the ethyl acetate/MAE extract of Bauhinia championii (Benth.) Benth, and it maybe become a rapid method to determine the composition of new plant extracts.
Negative Affect Mediates Effects of Psychological Stress on Disordered Eating in Young Chinese Women

Abstract: Background The bi-relationships between psychological stress, negative affect and disordered eating has been well studied in western culture, while tri-relationship among them, i.e. how some of those factors influence these bi-relationships, has rarely been studied. However, there has been little related study in the different Chinese culture. This study was conducted to investigate the bi-relationships and tri-relationship between psychological stress, negative affect, and disordered eating attitudes and behaviors in young Chinese women. Methodology A total of 245 young Chinese policewomen employed to carry out health and safety checks at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo were recruited in this study. The Chinese version of the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10), Beck Depression Inventory Revised (BDI-II), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), and Eating Attitude Test (EAT-26) were administered to all participants. Principal Findings The total scores of PSS-10, BDI-II and BAI were all highly correlated with that of EAT-26. The PSS-10 score significantly correlated with both BDI-II and BAI scores. There was no statistically significant direct effect from perceived stress to disordered eating (–0.012, 95%CI: –.038~0.006, p = 0.357), however, the indirect effects from PSS-10 via affect factors were statistically significant, e.g. the estimated mediation effects from PSS to EAT-26 via depression and anxiety were 0.036 (95%CI: 0.022~0.044, p<0.001) and 0.015 (95%CI: 0.005~0.023, p<0.01), respectively. Conclusions Perceived stress and negative affects of depression and anxiety were demonstrated to be strongly associated with disordered eating. Negative affect mediated the relationship between perceived stress and disordered eating. The findings suggest that effective interventions and preventative programmes for disordered eating should pay more attention to depression and anxiety among the young Chinese female population.
Global Transcriptional and Phenotypic Analyses of Escherichia coli O157:H7 Strain Xuzhou21 and Its pO157_Sal Cured Mutant

Abstract: Escherichia coli O157:H7 is an important food-borne pathogen that can cause hemorrhagic colitis and hemolytic-uremic syndrome in humans. pO157_Sal, a novel conjugative plasmid is present in a Chinese O157:H7 outbreak strain Xuzhou21. Here we investigated the phenotypic and transcriptional differences between the wild type strain Xuzhou21 and the pO157_Sal cured mutant strain Xuzhou21m. RNA-Seq analysis found that all 52 ORFs encoded on pO157_Sal were transcribed. One hundred and sixty eight chromosomal and pO157 genes were differentially expressed (≥2 fold difference) between Xuzhou21 and Xuzhou21m. Sixty-seven and 101 genes were up-regulated and down-regulated respectively by pO157_Sal including genes related to stress response, adaption and virulence. The plasmid-cured mutant Xuzhou21m grew slower than wild type Xuzhou21 and pO157_Sal plasmid complemented strain Xuzhou21c in M9 medium under the condition of high NaCl or presence of sodium deoxycholate (NaDC), corroborating with the RNA-Seq data. Seven differentially expressed genes are associated with NaDC resistance, including the adenine-specific DNA-methyltransferase gene (dam), multidrug efflux system subunit gene mdtA, hyperosmotically inducible periplasmic protein gene osmY and oxidation-reduction related genes while two differentially expressed genes (osmY and pspD) are likely to be related to resistance to osmotic pressure. A number of differentially expressed genes were virulence associated including four genes encoding T3SS effectors from the chromosome and ehxD from pO157. Through complementation of Xuzhou21m with a plasmid construct carrying the pO157_Sal hha homolog we further showed that the pO157_Sal hha represses the expression of T3SS effectors. These findings demonstrated that the plasmid pO157_Sal affects the transcription of the chromosomal and pO157 plasmid genes and contributes to the enhanced ability to resist stress. We conclude that pO157_Sal plays an important role in regulating global gene expression and affects the virulence and adaptation of E. coli O157:H7.
A Novel Plasmid-Encoded Serotype Conversion Mechanism through Addition of Phosphoethanolamine to the O-Antigen of Shigella flexneri

Abstract: Shigella flexneri is the major pathogen causing bacillary dysentery in developing countries. S. flexneri is divided into at least 16 serotypes based on the combination of antigenic determinants present in the O-antigen. All the serotypes (except for serotype 6) share a basic O-unit containing one N-acetyl-d-glucosamine and three l-rhamnose residues, whereas differences between the serotypes are conferred by phage-encoded glucosylation and/or O-acetylation. Serotype Xv is a newly emerged and the most prevalent serotype in China, which can agglutinate with both MASF IV-1 and 7,8 monoclonal antibodies. The factor responsible for the presence of MASF IV-1 (E1037) epitope has not yet been identified. In this study, we analyzed the LPS structure of serotype Xv strains and found that the MASF IV-1 positive phenotype depends on an O-antigen modification with a phosphoethanolamine (PEtN) group attached at position 3 of one of the rhamnose residues. A plasmid carried gene, lpt-O (LPS phosphoethanolamine transferase for O–antigen), mediates the addition of PEtN for serotype Xv and other MASF IV-1 positive strains. These findings reveal a novel serotype conversion mechanism in S. flexneri and show the necessity of further extension of the serotype classification scheme recognizing the MASF IV-1 positive strains as distinctive subtypes.

Abstract: 采用水泥、粉煤灰及有机硫稳定剂DTCR固化/稳定化处理重金属污染的底泥,考察固化体的抗压强度及重金属浸出毒性,确定了底泥固化/稳定化的最佳工艺条件。结果表明:仅用水泥固化/稳定化重金属污染底泥,固化体抗压强度随水泥用量的增加而上升,重金属浸出浓度则下降,当水泥∶干底泥质量比为0.6∶1.0时,固化体7 d抗压强度能达到0.99 MPa的标准值;进一步研究发现,水泥∶粉煤灰∶干底泥质量比为0.54∶0.06∶1.0时,重金属浸出浓度有所上升,但7 d及28 d抗压强度仍能分别达到1.2 MPa和2.8 MPa;加入DTCR后,当水泥∶粉煤灰∶DTCR∶干底泥质量比为0.54∶0.06∶0.012∶1.0时,固化体7 d及28 d抗压强度分别为1.1 MPa和2.1 MPa,醋酸缓冲溶液法浸出的Cd、Pb、Zn和Cu浓度分别为0.102、0.189、0.180和0.032 mg/L。

Abstract: The sequencing bioleaching test was used to investigate the removal efficiency of heavy metals from contaminated sediment of the Xiangjiang River in Changsha section.In this study,ferrous sulfate was selected as energy substrate to cultivate the bioleaching dominated bacterium of Thiobacillus ferrooxidans.The results demonstrated that the ratio of substrate dosage and solid concentration(Sd/Sc) was 1.5,which could meet the requirements of bioleaching.Further study showed that the removal rates of Cd,Zn and Cu in sediment were 83.1%,75.3% and 61.2%,respectively after 6 days,when the solid concentration was 13%,the substrate dosage was 19.5 g/L.The heavy metals mainly existed as residual state after bioleaching,and the concentrations of them were lower than the control standards for pollutants in sludge from agricultural use.The leaching of organic matter/sulfide-bound Cu needed lower pH compared to Zn and Cd,and the indirect leaching was its main mechanism.In the bioleaching system with Fe2+ as substrate,the adsorption and coprecipitation of ihleite was one of the important reasons for the decrease of soluble metals in later period.
Study on Preparation and Application in Flocculants of Modified Lignin

Abstract: The lignin sulfonate was modified with olefins monomer by the method of radiation graft polymerization, by which a new type of natural polymer flocculants can be made. And results of the flocculation and sedimentation are tested in the furfural wastewater treatment process. Furfural wastewater is a complex composition, whose COD is about 20000mg / L, is difficult to be treated by conventional methods. Our results showed that the kind of flocculants can remove 50 percent COD or more from furfural wastewater after aerating and adjusting pH value to 9.
