As one of the first readers of this book, I firmly believe that it is a most fascinating pioneering work on global and comparative analysis of tax treaty disputes from empirical approach.
The Research of Ear Recognition Based on Gabor Wavelets and Support Vector Machine Classification

Abstract: This study proposed a novel framework for ear recognition based on Gabor wavelets and Support Vector Machine (SVM). The framework has three steps. In the first step, the ear is detected from an image of the face. In the second step, Gabor wavelets are used to extract ear feature. The Gabor wavelets, whose kernels are similar to the 2D receptive field profiles of the mammalian cortical simple cells, exhibit desirable characteristics of spatial locality and orientation selectivity. In the third step, when the Gabor features were obtained, classifications were done by SVM. Experiment results showed that the proposed framework is effective and accurate.

Abstract: We consider the following Hamiltonian equation on a special manifold of rational functions, \[i\p\_tu=\Pi(|u|^2u)+\al (u|1),\ \al\in\R,\] where $\Pi $ denotes the Szeg\H{o} projector on the Hardy space of the circle $\SS^1$. The equation with $\al=0$ was first introduced by G{\'e}rard and Grellier in \cite{GG1} as a toy model for totally non dispersive evolution equations. We establish the following properties for this equation. For $\al\textless{}0$, any compact subset of initial data leads to a relatively compact subset of trajectories. For $\al\textgreater{}0$, there exist trajectories on which high Sobolev norms exponentially grow with time.
Unbounded Sobolev trajectories and modified scattering theory for a wave guide nonlinear Schr?dinger equation

Abstract: We consider the following wave guide nonlinear Schr\"odinger equation, \begin{equation} (i\partial \_t+\partial \_{xx}-\vert D\_y\vert )U=\vert U\vert ^2U\ \tag{WS} \end{equation} on the spatial cylinder $\mathbb{R} \_x\times \mathbb{T} \_y$. We establish a modified scattering theory between small solutions to this equation and small solutions to the cubic Szeg\H{o} equation. The proof is an adaptation of the method of Hani--Pausader--Tzvetkov--Visciglia. Combining this scattering theory with a recent result by G\'erard--Grellier, we infer existence of global solutions to (WS) which are unbounded in the space $L^2\_xH^s\_y(\mathbb{R} \times \mathbb{T} )$ for every $s\textgreater{}\frac 12$.
The Cubic Szeg\h{o} Equation with a Linear Perturbation

Abstract: We consider the following Hamiltonian equation on the $L^2$ Hardy space on the circle $S^1$ , $$i\partial\_ t u = \Pi(|u|^ 2 u) + \alpha(u|1) , \alpha \in\mathbb{R} ,$$ where $\Pi$ is the Szeg\H{o} projector. The above equation with $\alpha= 0$ was introduced by G{\'e}rard and Grellier as an important mathematical model [5, 7, 3]. In this paper, we continue our studies started in [22], and prove our system is completely integrable in the Liouville sense. We study the motion of the singular values of the related Hankel operators and find a necessary condition of norm explosion. As a consequence, we prove that the trajectories of the solutions will stay in a compact subset, while more initial data will lead to norm explosion in the case $\alpha>0$.

Abstract: To promote the maximum consensus of the global community on the implementation of the OECD/G20 Final BEPS Package, this paper investigated the magnitude and disasters of BEPS schemes by comparative research and empirical data. This paper analyzed the relevance of ETRs to the magnitude of BEPS, the ratio of corporate tax revenue in GDP in the process of globalization, the relevance of the FDI flows to BEPS, the relevance of the widespread conduit or SPE structures to BEPS schemes and the magnitude of BEPS schemes of U.S.-based MNEs. As the research findings, this paper highlighted the complicated disasters of over speculative BEPS schemes. The BEPS schemes have eroded the integrity of tax bases in both source and residence jurisdictions, deteriorated the quality of the public goods in all relevant jurisdictions, fundamentally undermined the tax justice, imposed unfair burden on domestic taxpayers especially the individuals and small businesses, distorted the free and fair mechanism of market competition, undermined the efficiency of rational market in optimal allocation of the resources and created a booming intermediary industry assisting BEPS, undermined the reasonable trust of global taxpayers in the fairness and integrity of the tax law, hindered the voluntary compliance by the public taxpayers, and injured the reputation of the community of MNEs and worsened off the global business ecology.

Repression of adipose inflammation may be a useful approach to ameliorate obesity-associated metabolic disorders.

High Resolution Search for Exotic Pentaquark $Θ^{++}$, and $Θ^+$ at Jefferson Lab

Abstract: Recent evidence for the existence of pentaquark $\Theta^+$ particle from several experiments at several different laboratories around the world has caused great excitement and raised many unanswered questions. We discuss a new proposal on a high resolution experiment searching for pentaquark states in Hall C at Jefferson Lab using an untagged bremsstrahlung photon beam employing both the hydrogen and the deuterium targets by studying the following processes: $\gamma p \to \Theta^{++} K^-$, and $\gamma n \to \Theta^+ K^-$. This new experiment will significantly improve our current knowledge of the mass, the width of the $\Theta^+$ particle if it is confirmed and provide unambiguous evidence for the existence or non-existence of the $\Theta^{++}$ particle from the \gamma p \to \Theta^{++} K^-$ process.

Abstract: Water-soluble polysaccharide was isolated from grapefruit with the method of water-dissolving and ethanol-precipitating. By single factor test and orthogonal experimental method, the extraction conditions of the water-soluble polysaccharide were investigated, which contained liquid-solid ratio, temperature, time and pH. The results showed that pH was the most important factor of polysaccharide extraction, followed by temperature. The optimized extraction technology conditions were obtained. The liquid-solid ratio was 1:40, temperature was 90?C, time was 2.0 h, and pH was 2. The highest extraction rate of crude polysaccharide was 8.30%.
