Abstract: The title compound, (C10H10N2)[Cu(C2O4)2] or (4,4′-H2bpy)[Cu(ox)2] (bpy is 4,4′-bipyridine and ox is oxalate), is an ion-pair complex comprising a protonated 4,4′-bipyridinium dication and a square-planar dioxalatocopper(II) dianion. In the centrosymmetric dianion, the CuII centre is coordinated by four O atoms from the two dicrete oxalate ligands [Cu—O = 1.9245 (19) and 1.9252 (17) ], while the planar dications are also centrosymmetric. Inter-species N—H...O hydrogen bonds link the cations and anions into one-dimensional chains and, together with weak intra-ion C—H...O interactions, give a two-dimensional sheet structure.

Abstract: In the title complex, [Ag(C7H10N2O2S)2]NO3, the AgI cation is bicoordinated in an almost linear configuration by two N-donor atoms of the thiazole rings of two distinct ethyl 2-amino-4-thiazoleacetate (EATA) ligands. The dihedral angle between the two thiazole rings is 49.9°. A weak Ag...O (2.729 ) interaction between the Ag cation and one of the O atoms from the nitrate anion is observed, and a pseudo-dimer is formed through a weak Ag...S (3.490 ) interaction between the Ag cation and the S atom of the thiazole ring of a symmetry-related molecule. In the crystal structure, there are intra- and intermolecular N—H...O hydrogen bonds. The occurrence of intermolecular N—H...O hydrogen bonds results in the formation of two-dimensional sheets parallel to (010), which are further linked into a three-dimensional network through weak C—H...O interactions.

Abstract: The title compound, C13H13N5O, crystallizes with two molecules in the asymmetric unit. The crystal structure is stabilized by intramolecular N—H...N and N—H...O hydrogen bonds. The dihedral angles between the pyrazine ring and the 4-aminolphenyl ring are 2.5 (1) and 6.5 (1)° in the two molecules.

Abstract: In the title compound, [Zn(C5H5N2O2S)2(H2O)], the central Zn atom (2 site symmetry) is five-coordinated by two N and three O atoms [Zn—N = 2.047 (3) , Zn—O = 2.099 (2) and 1.974 (4) ] in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. Besides one O atom from a water molecule, two 2-aminothiazole-4-acetate ligands provide two N and two O atoms as coordinated atoms. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O—H...O and N—H...O hydrogen bonds connect the molecules into an infinite three-dimensional framework.
A Modified Method for Isolating DNA from Fungus

Abstract: Genomic DNA of two fungi Thamnidium elegans and Umbelopsis isabellina were extracted with an amended Cetyltrimethyl Ammonium Bromide (CTAB) method. This modified method uses repeated freezing in liquid nitrogen and thawing with combination of shocking with glass beads to replace of the traditional method. Quality and concentration of DNA extracted by the modified methodwere tested. Compared with the traditional method, higher yield and purity of genomic DNA were obtained with less amount ofmycelium. The result indicted that this is a simple and highly efficient method, which is suitable to treat many samples at one time and for basic molecular experiments, such as restriction endonuclease reaction and PCR.

Abstract: Type III secretion system (TTSS) is an important virulence factor encoding by pseudomonas aeruginosa. About 40 genes are involved and they function as structure proteins, chaperons, regulators, and effectors proteins, respectively. Although some genes have been studied previously, functions of many genes remained unknown. Pcr2 gene is the third gene of popN operon that is one of the five operons of the TTSS gene clusters. Its functions were investigated in this study. First, by characterization of the phenotypes of pcr(2-) mutant, we found that the abilities of secreting or translocating effectors proteins were significantly damaged in the absence of Pcr2 protein, suggesting that Pcr2 protein involved in both the secretion and translocation processes of TSS. Second, evidences were provided that no PopN protein was detectable in supernatant of pcr(2-) mutant culture. Combined with the data from the bacterial two-hybrid system, we can conclude that Pcr2 protein might function as part of a chaperone complex for the PopN protein. Third, Pcr2 protein was found secreted in a TTSS-dependent manner, suggesting that secreted Pcr2 may play a role in the TTSS needle biogenesis.

Abstract: 白念珠菌(Candida albicans)是一种重要条件致病菌,近年来引起人们的关注,大量的研究由此展开。对环境的改变积极做出应答是白念珠菌致病的重要条件。外界环境尤其是pH的变化影响着白念珠菌的形态和毒力。RIM101途经是真菌中一种保守的信号转导途径,白念珠菌也存在RIM101途经,并且该途径至少部分地控制着细胞对pH的应答。这里主要综述了近年来有关白念珠菌RIM101途径、pH应答及两者相互关系的研究。

Abstract: 从洛巴口蘑培养滤液中分离出一种具有抗肿瘤活性的多糖蛋白复合物(PSPC)。PSPC在细胞水平有能力恢复和增强带瘤鼠腹腔浸出细胞的吞噬功能和T细胞的促分裂活性。在分子水平,PSPC能恢复带瘤鼠脾细胞和腹腔浸出细胞内IFN-γ基因的表达水平。另外,PSPC能够下调带瘤鼠脾细胞内“抗细胞因子”TGF-β的表达水平。因此,PSPC的抗肿瘤机制可归咎于寄主介导的免疫调节作用。
