Deviations of Steady States of the Traveling Wave to a Competition Diffusion System with Random Perturbation  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper considers the asymptotic dynamics of steady states to the Lotka-Volterra competition diffusion systems with random perturbations by two-parameter white noise on the whole real line. By the fundamental solution of heat equation, we get the asymptotic fluctuating behaviors near the stable states respectively. That is, near the steady state (u,v)=(0,1), the mean value Eu(x,t) is shifted above the equilibrium u=0 and Ev(x,t) is shifted below the equilibrium v=1. However, near the steady state (u,v)=(1,0), the mean value Eu(x,t) is shifted below the equilibrium u =1 and Eu(x,t)=0.
Desipramine Pretreatment Improves Sympathetic Remodeling and Ventricular Fibrillation Threshold after Myocardial Ischemia

Abstract: Abnormal increase in sympathetic nerve sprouting was responsible for the ventricular arrhythmogenesis after myocardial infarction. This study investigated whether the norepinephrine transporter inhibitor, desipramine, can modulate sympathetic remodeling and ventricular fibrillation threshold (VFT) after myocardial ischemia-reperfusion. Rats were administered desipramine (0.8 mg/kg, IV) before or after myocardial ischemia. VFT, infarct size, tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) and growth-associated protein 43 (GAP43)-positive nerve fibers were measured after one week. The VFT of preischemic treatment group was 11.0±2.65 V and significantly higher than that of control ischemic group (7.2±1.30 V, <0.05). Infarct size in the preischemic treatment group (23.3±2.4%) was significantly lower than that in the control ischemic group (30.8±1.3%, <0.05) and the delayed application group (27.1±2.6%, <0.05). The density of TH and GAP43-positive nerve fibers in the control ischemic group was significantly higher than that in the other three groups (<0.05). The density of nerve fibers improved after desipramine treatment. Moreover, there was a negative correlation between the VFT and both TH and GAP43-positive nerve fiber density in the infarct border zone (<0.05). Desipramine treatment before acute myocardial ischemia can decrease infarct size, improve sympathetic remodeling, and increase VFT and electrical stability of ischemic hearts. Desipramine appears to cause myocardial ischemic preconditioning.
Identification of Single-Copy Orthologous Genes between Physalis and Solanum lycopersicum and Analysis of Genetic Diversity in Physalis Using Molecular Markers

Abstract: The genus Physalis includes a number of commercially important edible and ornamental species. Its high nutritional value and potential medicinal properties leads to the increased commercial interest in the products of this genus worldwide. However, lack of molecular markers prevents the detailed study of genetics and phylogeny in Physalis, which limits the progress of breeding. In the present study, we compared the DNA sequences between Physalis and tomato, and attempted to analyze genetic diversity in Physalis using tomato markers. Blasting 23180 DNA sequences derived from Physalis against the International Tomato Annotation Group (ITAG) Release2.3 Predicted CDS (SL2.40) discovered 3356 single-copy orthologous genes between them. A total of 38 accessions from at least six species of Physalis were subjected to genetic diversity analysis using 97 tomato markers and 25 SSR markers derived from P. peruviana. Majority (73.2%) of tomato markers could amplify DNA fragments from at least one accession of Physalis. Diversity in Physalis at molecular level was also detected. The average Nei’s genetic distance between accessions was 0.3806 with a range of 0.2865 to 0.7091. These results indicated Physalis and tomato had similarity at both molecular marker and DNA sequence levels. Therefore, the molecular markers developed in tomato can be used in genetic study in Physalis.

Abstract: The glass forming ability (GFA), crystallization behaviour and magnetic properties of Nd4Fe82B14 produced by melt spinning were investigated. The experimental results show that the GFA is rather Strong; the crystals precipitation sequence is as follows: Am(amorphous)→Am'+bcc-Fe →Nd2Fe23B3+Fe23B6+bcc-Fe→Fe23B6+Fe3B+Nd2Fe14B+bcc-Fe→Fe3B+Nd2Fe14B+bcc-Fe. The magnetic properties after crystallization are not affected by the cooling rate and the best magnetic properties are Br=0.8436 T, Hcj=266.4 kA/m, (BH)max=48.08 kJ/m3.

It is widely employed in not only royal families but also normal families in ancient times, and even till now is still a vital part of Chinese minorities nurturing custom. Swaddle, a long historical nursing product, itself owns a high practical value as well as presenting humanism. Base on ancient literatures and Chinese archaic characters (襁褓), this manuscript will display the unique and profound aspect of Chinese nurturing culture, dispel the misunderstanding of this traditional culture.

Abstract: Routing protocols are perceived to be growing hotspots and required to devote more time and work to studying it. Research on routing protocols of wireless sensor networks is significantly important to accurately guide the application. Theoretical analysis and comparison are one of the key steps in the protocol research. Restricted by irreversible factors of power and others, lifetime of wireless sensor networks is very short. In this paper, we analyze and compare the characteristics and application fields of existing protocols. On the basis of that, this paper mainly proposes an improved directed diffusion exploring the phase of reinforcing path, which chooses the way to strengthen the path after evaluating the critical factors. It was determined by simulation that improved directed diffusion has a higher transmission rate, and it satisfies the requirements, which balancing the energy consumption and prolonging the lifetime.

Abstract: Objective: To observe the otolithic function in sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSHL) patients in different age groups by using vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMPs). Methods: One hundred and seventy unilateral SSHL patients were divided into 5 age groups. The 170 affected ears belonged to study group. The opposite healthy ears of 170 patients and 138 normal ears of 69 age and sex-matched normal people at different ages were set as control groups. Ocular VEMP (oVEMP) and cervical VEMP (cVEMP) both evoked by air-conducted sound (ACS) were employed for vestibular otolithic function assessment. Results: The response rates of cVEMP and oVEMP were lower and abnormal rates were higher in affected ears of SSHL patients compared to the opposite healthy ears and normal control ears in all age groups, except patients over 60 years. The response rates of VEMPs significantly declined with increasing age, not only in normal control ears, but also in affected and healthy ears of SSHL patients. But, the abnormal rates of VEMPs showed no significant difference in affected ears at different ages. Conclusions: Dysfunction of vestibular otolithic organs in SSHL patients presented respective features at different ages. It is necessary to consider the age when the clinicians determine the otolithic condition of patients based on the VEMPs.
Exogenous High-Mobility Group Box 1 Protein Injection Improves Cardiac Function after Myocardial Infarction: Involvement of Wnt Signaling Activation

Abstract: Exogenous high-mobility group box 1 protein (HMGB1) injection could prevent left ventricular remodeling and enhance left ventricular function during myocardial infarction (MI). However, the mechanism remains unclear. This paper was to investigate in the mechanism of cardioprotection of HMGB1 during MI in rats. Anesthetized male rats were treated once with HMGB1 (200 ng) 4 h after MI and then executed after 7 and 28 days, respectively. Cardiac function, collagen deposition, and dishevelled-1 and β-catenin protein expression were measured. After MI 7 days or 28 days, the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was significantly decreased compared to that of sham-operated control group (<0.05). However, the LVEF HMGB1-treated groups were significantly higher compared to those of the MI group in both 7 days and 28 days (<0.05). The collagen volume fraction was significantly reduced in the HMGB1-treated group in infarcted border zone. HMGB1 could activate the expression of dishevelled-1 and β-catenin proteins (<0.05). Our study suggested that exogenous high-mobility group box 1 protein injection improves cardiac function after MI, which may be involved in Wnt/β-catenin signaling activation.

Abstract: The mechanics parameters of engineering rocks and soils usually are of the property of spatial and random variations due to the heterogeneity and should be considered as the spatial random fields. The reseaare made on both the spatial variation analysis of the random fields and the estimations of rock mechanicparameters in elements of FEM by conditional simulation. The advantages of this estimation method are not only that the double characteristics of spatial variations of the random fields are considered,but also that the true dispersions of the random fields could be realized better in the value estimation of the rock mechanics parameters in elements compared with the Kriging method.
