Abstract: By doing a questionnaire survey of the gratitude awareness situation among the students of one university in Guangzhou, we had an overview of the gratitude awareness of the students. Based on this survey, it is advocated that college students’ gratitude education should be promoted on the basis of Chinese traditional cultural education; disadvantaged students should be paid more attention; teachers should set good examples; and the gratitude education should be enriched to make it more social; etc.

Abstract: Researches on Candidal heat-shock protein 90 (HSP90) in recent years are summarized.Candida albicans is a commensal pathogen in human and animals. In immunocompromised individuals it behaves as an opportunist pathogen, giving rise to superficial or systemic infections. Systemic candidosis is a common cause of death among immunocompromised and debilitated patients, in which the mortality is as high as 70%. HSP90 is now recognized as an immunodominant antigen inC. albicans and plays a key role in systemic candidosis as a molecular chaperone. The 47-ku peptide is the breakdown product of HSP90. Patients who has recovered from systemic candidosis produce high titre of antibodies to 47-ku antigen, whereas the fatal cases have little antibody or falling titres. The three commonest epitopes of candidal HSP90 have been mapped, epitopes C, B and H. Epitopes C and H are immunogenic. The antibody probes of both epitopes may be developed into a new serological test agents for systemic candidosis due to rather high specificity and sensitivity. The recent results establish HSP90 as an ATP-dependent chaperone that is involved in the folding of cell regulatory proteins and in the refolding of stress-denatured polypeptides. Some researches on fungal HSP90 and the treatment of patients with candidosis are reviewed as well.

Abstract: Evodia rutaecarpa (E.R.) is a commonly used Chinese herbal medicine. However, it exerts certain hepatotoxicity and the underlying molecular mechanism has not been clarified. In this study, we investigated the molecular mechanism involved in hepatotoxicity induced by E.R. Mice were treated with E.R. water- and ethanol-extract at dosage equivalent to 16.67 g crude-drug/kg body weight by intragastric administration once a day on 30 consecutive days. The effect of E.R. extract on liver, manifested by histopathologic effects, liver index, and blood biochemical indexes were tested. In addition, interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, IL-8, and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α in liver tissue were measured. The signaling transduction molecules were determined by antibody microarray assay, and verified by western blot. E.R. extract, either water- or ethanol-extract, can induce liver dysfunction. Signaling molecules, Erk1/2, Src, CDK8 and CK1e, were involved in this process. E.R. extract can induce Ck1e expression and phosphorylation of Erk1/2 and CDK8, and inhibit Src phosphorylation. Inflammatory cytokines in liver tissue, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α were markedly increased upon the treatment of E.R. extract. In conclusion, E.R.-induced hepatotoxicity was due to the expression of inflammatory cytokine, which was mediated through Erk1/2, Src, CDK8 and CK1e.

The effect of chronic insomnia carries along a physical and psychological state of dysfunctionality felt by the individual. The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of hypnotherapeutic intervention applied in the case of patients who present insomnia accompanied by rumination. We performed the study of 42 patients who underwent the Symptom Checklist-90 (SCL-90) for the psychiatric evaluation and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) for sleep quality at baseline, 1 month after the program and follow-up (2 months) after finalizing the program. Our findings revealed that hypnotherapeutic intervention that involves relaxation and positive self-suggestion leads to positive results among the patient who experience insomnia accompanied by rumination.

Abstract: This paper tries to analyze Chinese three types of bank’s efficiency changes and differences, after the financial crisis, through the integrated use of DEA and super efficiency DEA method. The results show that: the efficiency of Chinese commercial Banks in general is on the rise, the comprehensive technical efficiency growth stems mainly from scale efficiency improvement, pure technical efficiency is stagnant, and scale efficiency presents convergence among all kinds of banks, while the technical level is the core strength of banks’ current and future competition. State-owned banks with the technology competitive advantage and scale efficiency improved, began to catch up with other banks, reversed the operational inefficiency; City commercial banks due to the system advantage were more easily to be in the efficient production frontier surface.

Abstract: Equations of the reaction-diffusion type are very well known and have been extensively studied in many research areas. In this paper, the prolongation structures for the system of the reaction-diffusion type are investigated from theory of coverings. The realizations and the classifications of the one-dimensional coverings of the system are researched. And the corresponding conservation law of the one-dimensional Abelian coverings is concluded, which is closely connected with the symmetry of the system by Noether theorem.
Ethanol production from corn stover pretreated by electrolyzed water and a two-step pretreatment method

Abstract: Pretreatment is one of the most important unit operations for ethanol production from biomass feedstocks. In this study, corn stover was used as a feedstock to examine the effectiveness of two pretreatments: electrolyzed water pretreatment and a two-step pretreatment. Electrolyzed water was employed as a catalyst to conduct one-step pretreatment of corn stover at three temperatures (165, 180 and 195°C) and three treatment times (10, 20 and 30 min). During the two-step pretreatment process, an organic alkaline solution of 1% (w/w) NaOH in 70% (w/w) ethanol was used for lignin removal in the first step, followed by a second step using hot water. No furfural or 5-hydroxymethyl furfural was detected in the hydrolysates from both pretreatment methods when the detection limit of the HPLC was 0.2 g/L. The highest glucan conversion yields were 83% obtained at 195°C for 30 min with acidic electrolyzed water and 83% by the two-step process, where the second step of the pretreatment was at 135°C for 30 min. The hydrolyzates from the two pretreatment methods showed good performance in Saccharomyces cerevisiae fermentation tests. The two new methods may provide promising alternatives for the pretreatment of biomass for ethanol production.

Abstract: In the title complex, [Co(C10H11N2O2)2(C5H5N)2], the CoII atom lies on a centre of symmetry and adopts a distorted cis-CoO2N4 octahedral geometry. The two acetone salicyloylhydrazone ligands are deprotonated and act as N,O-bidentate monoanionic ligands, forming the equatorial plane, while the axial positions are occupied by two N atoms of two pyridine molecules. The complex presents O—H...N and C—H...N intramolecular hydrogen bonds. Intermolecular C—H...N and C—H...O interactions are also present in the crystal.
Delay Adjustment Method at Transfer Station of High-Speed Railway

Abstract: Passenger transfer is one of the important research contents after the network operation of high-speed railway. Due to the high operation speed and high frequency, delays at transfer stations may occur frequently, leading to some potential safety problems. Main influence factors such as schedule time, transfer buffer time, waiting time, and delay time of delay and passengers classification during transfer were analyzed. A delay adjustment model of passengers at a transfer station was presented with minimal delay cost, waiting time cost, and adjustment cost as the optimization goal. Two adjustment strategies were proposed, including transfer passengers departure time adjustment and connecting trains departure time adjustment. And a delay adjustment algorithm at transfer station was designed for the optimal adjustment scheme. A case study proves the effectiveness of the method on optimal scheme design for passengers transfer based on the lowest delay cost of all passengers. 1. Introduction For the high-speed railway network, it is impossible to operate direct train between two stations, especially between the long distance lines and feeder lines. So the passenger transfer is an important research problem of transportation organization. The passenger delays will not only easily lead to safety problems and affect the normal transportation, but also cause the negative effects on society. So an effective delay adjustment method is very critical both for passengers and railway operators. In the past, much research has been dedicated to compute optimum railway timetables to research the train delays and reliability of timetables. Su and Nigel [1] mainly analyzed the frequent minor disruptions (usually last no longer than 10–20 minutes) caused by random disturbances. And they described an integrated real-time disruption control model for a single line on rail transit systems, which includes holding, expressing, and short-turning strategies. Vromans et al. [2] examined reliability in public railway systems. And they decreased the interdependencies between trains by reducing the running time differences per track section and by this creating more homogeneity of a timetable. Huisman et al. [3] discussed some recently developed topics such as shunting and reliability of timetables. And then many studies with a view to optimize timetable synchronization for rail transit and transfer optimization problem [4–7].
