Abstract: Equations of the reaction-diffusion type are very well known and have been extensively studied in many research areas. In this paper, the prolongation structures for the system of the reaction-diffusion type are investigated from theory of coverings. The realizations and the classifications of the one-dimensional coverings of the system are researched. And the corresponding conservation law of the one-dimensional Abelian coverings is concluded, which is closely connected with the symmetry of the system by Noether theorem.
Efficiency Research of Chinese Commercial Banks Based on Super-Efficiency DEA Method  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper tries to analyze Chinese three types of bank’s efficiency changes and differences, after the financial crisis, through the integrated use of DEA and super efficiency DEA method. The results show that: the efficiency of Chinese commercial Banks in general is on the rise, the comprehensive technical efficiency growth stems mainly from scale efficiency improvement, pure technical efficiency is stagnant, and scale efficiency presents convergence among all kinds of banks, while the technical level is the core strength of banks’ current and future competition. State-owned banks with the technology competitive advantage and scale efficiency improved, began to catch up with other banks, reversed the operational inefficiency; City commercial banks due to the system advantage were more easily to be in the efficient production frontier surface.
Effects of organic carbon source on growth, biochemical components and fatty acid composition of Phaeodactylum tricornutum

Abstract: We examined the effects of three organic carbon sources on mixotrophic growth, biochemical components and fatty acid composition of Phaeodactylum tricornutum. Mixotrophically, P. tricornutum grew faster and had shorter doubling time. The biomass of P. tricornutum was greatly enhanced under mixotrophic condition with its highest biomass of 713 mg/L after 16 days, in medium containing 100 mmol/L glycerol. This was 1.60-fold of that obtained under autotrophic condition. The biomass during mixotrophic culture with 100 mmol/L glucose and 100 mmol/L acetate was 1.28-fold and 1.21-fold of that obtained under autotrophic condition, respectively. Compared with autotrophic condition, the content of soluble protein decreased obviously, whereas the content of soluble carbohydrate and total lipid increased. The content of lipid during mixotrophic culture with 100 mmol/L acetate and 100 mmol/L glycerol was 1.43-fold and 1.20-fold of that obtained under autotrophic condition, respectively. There was no difference between lipid content of mixotrophic growth with 100 mmol/L glucose and that of autotrophic condition. The eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) content and yield was 6.23% and 36.59 mg/L during mixotrophic culture with 100 mmol/L acetate. These were 1.10-fold and 1.40-fold of that obtained under autotrophic condition, respectively. The EPA content and yield with glycerol and glucose were lower than that obtained under autotrophic condition. These results indicated that mixotrophic cultivation with acetate was beneficial to produce EPA.
The Neural Mechanism of Insight in Children and Adults: An ERPs Study of Chinese-Generation Task  [PDF]

Abstract: Insight is not only an important component of creativity, but also a vital way of innovation. The age of 9 - 10 is a critical period of the development of creativity; the researches on neural mechanism of children’s insight are useful to the understanding of human creativity development process. Development differences in the time course of brain activations involved in conflict processing of insight were examined for 19 children aged 9 - 10 and 15 young adults when they performed the Chinese character-generation task by adding one stroke (Qiu et al., 2007; Zhao et al., 2011). Results showed that: 1) Aha answers elicited a more negative ERP deflection (N300 - 400) than did No-aha answers in the time window from 300 - 400 ms after onset of the answer; but there was no significant difference between children and adults, which indicated that the cognitive conflict processing between old and new ways of thinking while identifying the answers was similar between children and adults. 2) Aha answers elicited a late positive component (LPC) than did No-aha answers in the time window from 500 - 1000 ms. More importantly, in the Aha condition, LPC had greater amplitude in children than adults; while in No-aha condition, there was no significant difference between two groups, which suggested that in the cognitive processes of updating and maintaining the correct information in the working memory, children need more attentional resources than adults.
Local Gateway Assisted Handover Key Derivation in Enterprise Femtocell Network  [PDF]

With the dense deployment of femtocells in enterprise femtocell network and the small coverage of femtocells, handover in enterprise femtocell network will be frequent. The general handover key derivation method which is used in handover procedures in LTE is not suitable for handover in this scenario because of its long time cost and the weak security. To solve this problem, this paper has proposed a new local gateway assisted handover key derivation schema in enterprise femtocell network. It can meet the fast derivation and good forward/backward key secrecy requirement of handover key derivation in enterprise femtocell network. The simulation result has verified that the proposed handover key derivation schema works better than the existing method.

Abstract: By doing a questionnaire survey of the gratitude awareness situation among the students of one university in Guangzhou, we had an overview of the gratitude awareness of the students. Based on this survey, it is advocated that college students’ gratitude education should be promoted on the basis of Chinese traditional cultural education; disadvantaged students should be paid more attention; teachers should set good examples; and the gratitude education should be enriched to make it more social; etc.
Fine Mapping of Wheat Stripe Rust Resistance Gene Yr26 Based on Collinearity of Wheat with Brachypodium distachyon and Rice

Abstract: The Yr26 gene, conferring resistance to all currently important races of Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici (Pst) in China, was previously mapped to wheat chromosome deletion bin C-1BL-6-0.32 with low-density markers. In this study, collinearity of wheat to Brachypodium distachyon and rice was used to develop markers to saturate the chromosomal region containing the Yr26 locus, and a total of 2,341 F2 plants and 551 F2:3 progenies derived from Avocet S×92R137 were used to develop a fine map of Yr26. Wheat expressed sequence tags (ESTs) located in deletion bin C-1BL-6-0.32 were used to develop sequence tagged site (STS) markers. The EST-STS markers flanking Yr26 were used to identify collinear regions of the rice and B. distachyon genomes. Wheat ESTs with significant similarities in the two collinear regions were selected to develop conserved markers for fine mapping of Yr26. Thirty-one markers were mapped to the Yr26 region, and six of them cosegregated with the resistance gene. Marker orders were highly conserved between rice and B. distachyon, but some rearrangements were observed between rice and wheat. Two flanking markers (CON-4 and CON-12) further narrowed the genomic region containing Yr26 to a 1.92 Mb region in B. distachyon chromosome 3 and a 1.17 Mb region in rice chromosome 10, and two putative resistance gene analogs were identified in the collinear region of B. distachyon. The markers developed in this study provide a potential target site for further map-based cloning of Yr26 and should be useful in marker assisted selection for pyramiding the gene with other resistance genes.
Up-Regulation of RACK1 by TGF-β1 Promotes Hepatic Fibrosis in Mice

Abstract: Liver fibrosis represents the consequences of a sustained wound healing response to chronic liver injury, and activation of quiescent hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) into a myofibroblast-like phenotype is considered as the central event of liver fibrosis. RACK1, the receptor for activated C-kinase 1, is a classical scaffold protein implicated in numerous signaling pathways and cellular processes; however, the role of RACK1 in liver fibrosis is little defined. Herein, we report that RACK1 is up-regulated in activated HSCs in transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-β1)-dependent manner both in vitro and in vivo, and TGF-β1 stimulates the expression of RACK1 through NF-κB signaling. Moreover, RACK1 promotes TGF-β1 and platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF)-mediated activation of pro-fibrogenic pathways as well as the differentiation, proliferation and migration of HSCs. Depletion of RACK1 suppresses the progression of TAA-induced liver fibrosis in vivo. In addition, the expression of RACK1 in fibrogenic cells also positively correlates well with the stage of liver fibrosis in clinical cases. Our results suggest RACK1 as a downstream target gene of TGF-β1 involved in the modulation of liver fibrosis progression in vitro and in vivo, and propose a strategy to target RACK1 for liver fibrosis treatment.

Abstract: Ion chromatography-ultra violet-hydride generation-Atomic Florescence Spectrometry was applied to detect 5 arsenic species in seafoods. The arsenic species studied include arsenobetaine(As B), arsenite(As(III)), dimethylarsinic acid(DMA), monomethylarsonic acid(MMA), and arsenate(As(V)), which were extracted from samples using 2% formic acid. Gradient elution using 33 mmol L~(-1) CH_3COONH_4 and 15 mmol L~(-1) Na_2CO_3 with 10 mL CH_3CH_2OH at pH 8.4 allowed the chromatographic separation of all the species on a Hamilton PRP-X100 anion-exchange column in less than 8 min. In this study, an ultrasound extraction method was used to extract arsenic species from seafood. The extraction efficiency was good and the recoveries from spiked samples were in the range of 72.6%–109%; the precision between sample replicates was higher than 3.6% for all determinations. The detection limits were 3.543 μg L~(-1) for As B, 0.4261 μg L~(-1) for As(III), 0.216 μg L~(-1) for DMA, 0.211 μg L~(-1) for MMA, and 0.709 μg L~(-1) for As(V), and the linear coefficients were greater than 0.999. We also developed an application of this method for the determination of arsenic species in bonito, Euphausia superba, and Enteromorpha with satisfactory results. Therefore, it was confirmed that this method was appropriate for the detection of arsenic species in seafood

Abstract: This article attempts to explore Arthur Miller’s representation of wife and mother characters in his play After the Fall. In the play, Miller puts more emphasis on his wife and mother characters’ awakening and rebellion. Miller portrays Rose as a treacherous housewife-mother who rebels against the idealized woman image of loving wife and sacrificial mother by becoming a separate person, asserting her own ambition and meeting her own demands. And through Louise’s victory in her fighting for personal identify, Miller shows women’s strong voices in their family. Besides, via Maggie’s tragedy in her self-pursuit, Miller proves that women can be as significant and tragic as men. In his effort to depict wife and mother’s rebellious spirits, Miller creates some complicated and diverse wife and mother images. So, that his representations of autonomous women achieve victories and suffer defeats disproves the viewpoint that Miller’s women are mere objects of male desire without self-defined identity.
