On Matsumoto metrics of scale flag curvature
Xiaoling Zhang
Mathematics , 2013,
Abstract: This paper contributes to the study of the Matsumoto metric F=alpha^2/beta, where the alpha is a Riemannian metric and the beta is a one form. It is shown that such a Matsumoto metric F is of scalar flag curvature if and only if F is projectively flat.
The Influence of Tourism on Rural Life in Minority Areas  [PDF]
Cuiping Zhang, Guangming Deng, Xiaoling Yu
Applied Mathematics (AM) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/am.2013.48162

In this paper, taking three ethnic minority areas as an example, through a questionnaire to obtain relevant data, according to the characteristics of the ethnic minority areas, using the factor analysis method, we analyse the tourism in ethnic areas of country life with various effects. We summarize the pros and cons, avoid or minimize the adverse impacts within the maximum limits, mitigate the conflicts between the value of resource and the development, find a balance between tourism development and rural construction, realize win-win tourism development and rural construction.

Empirical Analysis of the Spread of University Students’ Amative Behavior  [PDF]

Applied Mathematics (AM) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/am.2013.48A019

We used a questionnaire to obtain data about 664 university students’ amative behavior in a campus. Then we studied dissemination rules of university students’ amative behavior on campus social network. We found the amative behavior changes over time by focusing on the analysis of love group’s influence to single people and single group’s affected degree. Meanwhile, we compared the influence of single and multiple social relationships to the spread of amative behavior, and the result shows diversity of social relationships is a significant effect factor in spreading process.

The Influence Evaluation of Tourism on Chinese Rural People Living in Minority Areas  [PDF]
Cuiping Zhang, Guangming Deng, Xiaoling Yu
Applied Mathematics (AM) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/am.2014.58121

In this paper, through understanding the basic situation of three villages at different stages of life cycle development about tourism, using the method of grey correlation analysis from the quantitative aspects, the results show that impact assessment on rural tourism in different stages is different [1]. The impact on tourism stable stage is the most; tourism decline stage is relatively weak; tourism development stage is the weakest.

Regulation of Salicylic Acid on Polyamine Synthesize under NaCI Stress in Leaves of the Yali Pear
Xiaoling Wang,Yuxing Zhang
Research Journal of Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology , 2012,
Abstract: The regulation of SA to the changes of polyamine metabolism under salt stress in leaves of Yali Pear were studied. In order to reduce environmental effects on results, leaf disk tests were first used to confirm whether the salicylic acid affected the metabolism of polyamines. The results show that in the leaf disk experiment, exogenous salicylic acid changes the endogenous polyamine levels and different SA concentrations have different effects. Under the NaCI treatment the ADC activity increased significantly, but the ODC activity did not have a significant increase and was lower than ADC activity. Polyamine contents increased under the NaCI treatment at the low concentrations and did not increase or decrease with the NaCI concentration increasing. SA increased ODC activity in the control and NaCI treatment, did not significantly affect ADC activity, but increased the free polyamine contents under NaCI treatment.
Connectivity and Minimal Distance Spectral Radius of Graphs
Xiaoling Zhang,Chris Godsil
Mathematics , 2010,
Abstract: In this paper, we study how the distance spectral radius behaves when the graph is perturbed by grafting edges. As applications, we also determine the graph with $k$ cut vertices (respectively, $k$ cut edges) with the minimal distance spectral radius.
On projectively flat Kropina metrics
Xiaoling Zhang,Yibing Shen
Mathematics , 2013,
Abstract: In this paper, a characteristic condition of the projectively flat Kropina metric is given. By it, we prove that a Kropina metric $F=\alpha^2/\beta$ with constant curvature $K$ and $\|\beta\|_{\alpha}=1$ is projectively flat if and only if $F$ is locally Minkowskian.
Tissue induction, the relationship between biomaterial’s microenvironment and mesenchymal stem cell differentiation  [PDF]
Wenfeng Xu, Xiaoling Liao, Ling Zhang, Bo Liu
Journal of Biomedical Science and Engineering (JBiSE) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/jbise.2013.61011

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have been recognized as the best candidate for tissue engineering, while the mechanism of biomaterial-induced MSCs differentiation is not well understood. Most of research has been focused on chemical signaling of biomaterial in the past, but a variety of non-chemical signals were also proved to play essential roles in cellular behaviors. In this paper, we reviewed the current reports about the effects of different kinds of biomaterial signals on MSCs differentiation.

Relativistic Effects on X-ray Emissions from Accretion Disks around Black Holes
Xiaoling Zhang,Shuang Nan Zhang,Yangsen Yao
Physics , 2001, DOI: 10.1063/1.1419380
Abstract: Special and general relativistic effects on the X-ray emissions, especially the continuum spectra, from the accretion disks around black holes are investigated using the ray-tracing method. Because both the special and general relativistic effects are more important at distances closer to the black hole, the relativistic modifications to the emitted X-ray spectra are more significant at higher energies. In a simple accretion disk precession model, the relativistic effects can account for the energy dependence of the QPO amplitude and phase-lags observed in several black hole binaries. The dramatic QPO phase-lag transitions only show up when the central black hole is spinning rapidly. The narrow distribution of the observed system inclination angles of black hole binaries may be due to the selection effect caused by the relativistic effects around black holes.
