Unsupervised Image Segmentation Based on Markov Quadtree

Abstract: A new multiscale Markov model based Bayesian approach to image segmentation is presented. By Gauss mixture model and MAP estimation, the image data are first clustered into different Gauss classes. Then by modeling the Gauss class labels with Markov quadtree and MPM estimation, the final segmentation is performed. Compare with existing continuous version segmentation algorithm based on multiscale Markov model, the new approach needn't assuming the distribution form of each class known. And compared with existing discrete version segmenta- tion method, the feature data in our approach take very limit values, and so the number of distribution parameters is small. Moreover, because the feature data are based on neighborhood, the segmentation can be more smoothed, and the estimation uncertainty can be reduced. Experimental results show that the unsupervised approach can give a com- parable segmentation with supervised H-MPM and H-SMAP.
Wavelet-Domain Hidden Markov Overlapping Tree Model and Artifact Evaluating

Abstract: For solving the artifact problem of wavelet-domain hidden Markov tree mode (HMT), the mechanism of artifacts is analyzed and an artifact rule for evaluating the artifacts is proposed. Then, a new hidden Markov overlap- ping tree mode (HMOLT) and a denoising algorithm based on HMOLT are developed. By extending the data dimen- sion in each node from 1 to 3 (1D) or 9 (2D), the wavelet coefficients in adjacent nodes at the same scale are overlap- ping, and so the artifacts are reduced effectively. Simulations show that the new model and the denoising algorithm perform better than HMT and HMT based denoising algorithm not only in mean square error (MSE) and the artifact rule, but also in human vision.
A Low-Pass Filter of Wide Stopband with a Novel Multilayer Fractal Photonic Bandgap Structure

Abstract: A novel, multilayer fractal PBG is presented here as the substrate for a microstrip line and the resulting configuration builds a low-pass filter of wide stopband. Experimental results in comparison with the corresponding two filters with monolayer PBG show that the proposed filter drastically enhances the width of the stopband.

Abstract: According to the Blonder-Tinkham-Klapwijk approach,we calculate the electron transport coefficients through a junction of a mixed d(x2-y2)+idxy wave superconductor and a normal metal with a rough interface. We investigate the effects of rough strength of the interface and the mixing of the two symmetries on electron tunneling.It is found that the tunneling spectrum depends strongly on the relative strength of the two components. The zero-bias conductance peak splits into two peaks due to the mixing.
New context-based fused segmentation for SAR imagery based on multiscale markov mode

Abstract: A new unsupervised context-based fused segmentation algorithm for SAR imagery was proposed based on Multiscale Markov model.The method fully considered statistical characterization of SAR imagery and approximated segmented imagery with mixture rayleigh distribution.The model parameters could be straightly trained by iterative conditional estimation algorithm based on segmented image.Then we proposed four different context models to fuse multiscale image information.Finally,four different segmentation separately were obtained.Simulations on synthetic image and SAR imagery indicate that the new approach improves segmentation accuracy.
A Test on the Systematic Fuzzy Measurement of the Key degree for the Core Employees’ Performance Traits

Abstract: According to the employees’ embedded performance view of organizational social capital and its theoretic analytic dimensions, the core knowledge employees’ key performance traits are operationally defined as key degree with seven measuring dimensions. A scale for measuring the key degree is developed and empirically analyzed by means of questionnaire with Cronbach’s α >0.7 and significant three-factor-structure validity. And then systematic fuzzy decision theory is introduced to comprehensively measure the key degree indicator (KDI) of the core employees’ performance traits with the third party test, and the results initially show satisfied discriminating rate of the core employees (94%) from the sample and significant correlation between KDI and the organizational innovation performance (R=0.82, P<0.001), and the prediction potential of the organizational innovation performance with KDI. Key words: Core employee, Performance trait, Systematic fuzzy measurement Résumé: Selon le point de vue des employées sur la performance du capital social organizationnel et ses dimensions de l’analyse théorique, les traits de la performance clé des employées importants sont pratiquement définis comme le degré clé avec sept dimension de mesure. Une échelle pour mesurer le degré clé est développée et empiriquement analysée au moyen du questionnaire avec α >0.7 de Cronbach et la validité de la structure de trois facteurs signifiante. Puis la théorie de décison systématique et floue est introduite afin de mesurer le degré clé indicateur (key degree indicator /KDI) des traits de la performance des employés importants avec la troisième partie de test, et les résultats montrent au début un taux de distinction satisfaiseant des employés (94%) dans un échantillon et une corrélation signifiante entre KDI et la performance d’innovation organizationnelle(R=0.82, P<0.001), et la prédiction potentielle de la performance d’innovation organizationnelle avec KDI . Abstract: The expression of CBX7 and its potential target protein p16(INK4a) in gastric cancer cell lines and gastric tumors was assayed by Western blot analysis and immunohistochemistry(IHC). The correlations between CBX7 expression and p16(INK4a), clinicopathological characteristics, and prognosis were analyzed. Gastric cancer cell line SGC-7901 was transfected with CBX7 siRNA expressing plasmids, and the expression of various proteins was analyzed by Western blot analysis. Cellular senescence, anchorage independent growth, and cell migration assays were performed to determine the functional role of CBX7 in gastric cancer cells.CBX7 was found to be overexpressed in gastric cancer cell lines and gastric tumors. Overexpression of CBX7 in gastric cancer tissues correlated with patients' age, clinical stage and lymph node metastasis. Knockdown of CBX7 expression in gastric cancer cells led to increased cellular senescence, decreased cellular proliferation and migration ability, accompanied by upregulation of p16(INK4a).CBX7 acts as an oncogene in the carcinogenesis and progression of gastric cancer, and it may regulate tumorigenesis, cell migration and cancer metastasis partially via p16(INK4a) regulatory pathway.Polycomb group (PcG) proteins are a class of epigenetic regulators, which always form multiprotein complexes to exert their functions in regulating cell proliferation, senescence and tumorigenesis via well-known growth regulatory pathways [1]. More and more studies have implicated the deregulation of different PcG proteins in carcinogenesis and neoplastic progression. Bmi-1 is one of the best known PcG gene, which was initially identified for its ability to cooperate with c-Myc in lymphomagenesis and subsequently was found to be overexpressed in many kinds of human cancers and thus was accepted as an oncogene [2-10].
