Creative Education (CE) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/ce.2012.31026
Abstract: In recent decades, many researchers have devoted themselves to the study of the impact of American ideology upon Chinese college students. However, few of researches have been made in this area in view of language attrition. This thesis mainly analyses the transfer of Chinese college students’ ideology caused by the language attrition during the process of American English learning, such as the regression of Chinese language in different degrees and the decline of self-identities in Chinese culture. The transfer of ideology is manifested in the aspects of Chinese college students’ ideas, values, self-identities, etc. This thesis also provides evidence for the current situations that Chinese college students’ ideology was transferred by the first language attrition. Language attrition is a method different from other traditional research methods, and it is a whole new point of view at a cultural level.

Zhong Xi Yi Jie He Xue Bao , 2004,
Abstract: The article analyzed the contemporary study of pattern recognition of tongue images in traditional Chinese medicine by computer technology from its key sectors. It regards that the methods of orthogonal design and evaluation of image quality should be introduced to get a high-quality and practicable condition. In the field of tongue image segmentation, multiple methods used together are expected to improve the effect of segmentation. A scientific and canonical standard of tongue diagnosis based on comprehensive experts' experience with Delphi evaluation method and multi-center experts diagnosis on internet are also very essential. The study of pattern recognition on tongue image is still concentrated on the color. Further study should be extended to achieve quantification. And a comprehensive diagnosis on pattern recognition of tongue image is the aim that should be focused on later.

Towards better understanding the definition of cancerous toxin
Xiao-qiang Yue
Zhong Xi Yi Jie He Xue Bao , 2010,
Abstract: The author explained the definition and its scientific value of “cancerous toxin” proposed by Professor Chang-quan Ling, pointing out that it is helpful for better understanding the pathogenic factor and guiding the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. In regard to the new definition of “cancerous toxin”, the author put forward three key issues which should be solved in the field of integrated Chinese and Western medicine. First, the pathological property of cancerous toxin should be uncovered. Second, the relationship between cancerous toxin and syndrome differentiation or dosage of herbs need be further explored. Last, the cause of cancerous toxin is still unknown.

Abstract:

The microsporidian spore wall proteins, as the main components of the spore wall, play a key role in spore adherence to host cells and in recognition of the parasite by the host during the invasion process. In this study, we used the Bac-to-Bac baculovirus expression system to express the spore wall protein SWP26, fused to enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP), in the silkworm BmN cell line. The SWP26 and EGFP genes were inserted into the baculovirus transfer vector pFastBac1. The transfer vector pFastBac1-swp26-egfp was transformed into the bacterium Escherichia coli DHl0Bac/Bombyx mori nucleopolyhedrovirus (BmNPV) to construct the recombinant vBmswp26-egfp bacmid. The vBmswp26-egfp bacmid DNA was then used to transfect BmN cells to obtain the recombinant baculovirus. Western blotting analysis of total protein lysates in BmN cells infected by the recombinant virus showed a protein band of approximately 51 kDa, which corresponded to the deduced molecular weight of the swp26-egfp fusion protein. In addition, a fluorescence signal was observed in the cytoplasm and nucleoplasm of transfected cells, indicating that SWP26 had been successfully expressed in BmN cells. The SWP26 expression system established in this study lays the foundation for additional molecular and cellular studies, especially those focused on the interaction between the SWP26 protein of Nosema bombycis and the proteins of the silkworm, Bombyx mori.

Fine-grained permutation entropy as a measure of natural complexity for time series

Liu Xiao-Feng,Wang Yue,

中国物理 B , 2009,
Abstract: In a recent paper 2002 Phys. Rev. Lett. 88 174102], Bandt and Pompe propose permutation entropy (PE) as a natural complexity measure for arbitrary time series which may be stationary or nonstationary, deterministic or stochastic. Their method is based on a comparison of neighbouring values. This paper further develops PE, and proposes the concept of fine-grained PE (FGPE) defined by the order pattern and magnitude of the difference between neighbouring values. This measure excludes the case where vectors with a distinct appearance are mistakenly mapped onto the same permutation type, and consequently FGPE becomes more sensitive to the dynamical change of time series than does PE, according to our simulation and experimental results.
(E)-4-{[2-(2-Furylcarbonyl)hydrazinylidene]methyl}-2-methoxyphenyl acetate
Jun Xu,Xiao-yu Yue
Acta Crystallographica Section E , 2011, DOI: 10.1107/s1600536811008932
Abstract: The molecule of the title Schiff base compound, C15H14N2O5, was obtained from a condensation reaction of 4-acetoxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde and 2-furylcarbonylhydrazide. In the molecule, the furyl ring makes a dihedral angle of 14.63 (10)° with the benzene ring. In the crystal, intermolecular N—H...O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into chains along the b axis. Futhermore, weak C—H...O interactions connect the chains, forming corrugated layers parallel to (001). The dihedral angle between the rings is 14.63 (10)°.

Zhong Xi Yi Jie He Xue Bao , 2008,
Abstract: On the basis of outpatients' medical records concerning primary liver cancer (PLC), data of 552 patients (with 2 020 effective prescriptions) from the Outpatient Department of Changhai Hospital treated by Professor Ling Changquan were collected. The nature, flavor and meridian distribution of the herbs used in the prescriptions were summarized by frequency method, and the features of the herbs used according to syndrome differentiation were analyzed by logistic regression. The couple herbs used were analyzed by cluster analysis. All the data were analyzed in combination with the experience of the specialist. It showed that most of the frequently used herbs were herbs for invigorating the spleen to promote appetite, removing toxic materials to inhibit tumor growth, and activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis. These herbs are mostly of plain or cool nature, and mainly of sweet, bitter, or acrid taste. It also showed that the most frequently used herbs for qi deficiency were Astragalus membranaceus, Atractylodes macrocephala, and Pseudostellariae; Caulis Spatholobi and Chinese jujube for blood asthenia; Fructus Corni and Ophiopogon japonicus for yin deficiency; Agastache rugosa, Semen Plantaginis and Poria for water-dampness; cape jasmine fruit and baikal skullcap root for heat excess; peach seed and Radix Paeoniae Rubra for blood stasis; Curcuma wenyujin, Akebia trifoliata and Bupleurum chinense for qi stagnation. A total of 19 pairs of couple herbs were summarized by the cluster analysis.
