Empirical Research of Chinese Residents’ Consumption Behaviors Based on Consumption Functions  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper simply expands two famous consume functions referring to macro-economics: Keynesian consumption function and Life-cycle consumption function; attempting to introduce the empirical proxy variance of irrational facts: money illusion and over-reaction, we rebuild a new Keynesian consumption model and Life-cycle consumption model, both of which are based on the hypothesis of resident’s irrational behavior. Then we use the new model to empirically test the macroeconomic years data of China’s urban residents from 1978 to 2013 and China’s rural residents from 1985 to 2013. The empirical results show that all residents of China are irrational, however, the reasons of cause irrational consumption are different, and the urban residents may be for money illusion, but the rural residents may show over-reaction to price volatility. Finally, we give theory analysis about the differences of the two irrational consumption behaviors and the results of the paper.
Coordination of a Supply Chain with Advertising Investment and Allowing the Second Ordering  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper develops a game theoretic model of a one-manufacturer and one-retailer supply chain allowing the second ordering to investigate how to coordinate the order quantity and advertising investment via a markdown money-cooperative advertising contract. We focus on the effects of allowing the second ordering on equilibrium outcome and coordination mechanism. We find: the relationship between the unit wholesale prices and the chargeback rate depends on whether allowing the second ordering; the coordination mechanism is robust to demand uncertainty; the unit wholesale price in period 2 increases with the unit production cost in period 2, the unit delayed delivery cost and unit salvage value if and only if the chargeback rate is sufficiently small while that in period 1 is independent of them. In addition, we study the Pareto condition of coordination mechanism under which both manufacturer and retailer are better off using the coordination mechanism and find that the unit production costs in different periods may have contrary effects on the bounds of Pareto range.
Large-scale Surveillance System based on Hybrid Cooperative Multi-Camera Tracking  [PDF]

Abstract: In this paper, we proposed an optimized real-time hybrid cooperative multi-camera tracking system for large-scale au-tomate surveillance based on embedded smart cameras including stationary cameras and moving pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) cameras embedded with TI DSP TMS320DM6446 for intelligent visual analysis. Firstly, the overlapping areas and projection relations between adjacent cameras' field of view (FOV) is calculated. Based on the relations of FOV ob-tained and tracking information of each single camera, a homography based target handover procedure is done for long-term multi-camera tracking. After that, we fully implemented the tracking system on the embedded platform de-veloped by our group. Finally, to reduce the huge computational complexity, a novel hierarchical optimization method is proposed. Experimental results demonstrate the robustness and real-time efficiency in dynamic real-world environ-ments and the computational burden is significantly reduced by 98.84%. Our results demonstrate that our proposed sys-tem is capable of tracking targets effectively and achieve large-scale surveillance with clear detailed close-up visual features capturing and recording in dynamic real-life environments.
Quantitative Research on Trade in Value-Added and Emissions Responsibility in Global Value Chain  [PDF]

Abstract: The obvious defects of traditional trade statistics methods are shown under the circumstances of international production fragmentation and highly integrated network, and the related problems of greenhouse gas emissions during the value-added process of products are also being focused. How to use qualitative research to measure the residual greenhouse gas in the global industrial chain during the value-added process of products in exporting countries is the key point of this research. This paper summarizes the characteristics of value-added industrial development through sorting out the relevant data of the value-added conditions of global value chain, based on the latest released TiVA database of OECD. Then, the paper selects five time nodes of 12 countries, quantifies the responsibilities of the remains of greenhouse gases in exporting countries, based on value-added part under the trade transaction, and further quantifies the corresponding responsibilities of the emission of greenhouse gases in consumer countries.
Fabrication of Micro Structures by Ultrashort Voltage Pulse Electrical Discharge Machining  [PDF]

Abstract: The machining of small holes and array holes has been a difficult problem in machining field. Tiny hole is widely used in mechanical field, for instance, fuel injection nozzles, spinneret holes for synthetic fibers and wire drawing dies. This paper investigated the application of EDM (electrical discharge machining) to the fabrication of micro structures. There are obvious limitations in the process of micro-electrical discharge machining, such as electrode wear, unstable discharge condition and low machining efficiency. The effects of EDM parameters were investigated, such as voltage, pulse frequency, and frequency of ultrasonic vibration applied to electrode. Micro holes were machined with Pt electrode made by focused-ion-beam chemical vapor deposition (FIB-CVD) and Cu electrode made by wire-electrode cutting. The comparison experiments between EDM and ECM (electrochemical machining) indicated that the processing of ECM has serious stray current corrosion and poor machining precision. Moreover, the workpiece vibration was firstly proposed to be utilized in the micro-electrical discharge machining. It can be concluded that maximum machine could be obtained under the amplitude ratio of 76%, which was an appropriate parameter.

Abstract: Acne is a kind of commonly-encountered and frequently-occurring disease that influences people’s beautiful outlook and mood easily. Acne’s etiological factors are related closely to living habits, food habits, psychological factor, environmental factor, endocrine, genetic factor, improper use to cosmetics, and so on. Under the condition of worrying about that chemical drugs treatment induces another kind of sequelae, the cosmetology of traditional Chinese medicine has been more and more paid attention. For the non-fine mouthfeel by TCM oral use and the inconvenience of decocting, the application of external treatment with traditional Chinese medicine facial mask has been more widespread. The traditional Chinese medicine facial mask of Baizhi (Radix Angelicae Formosanae) and Baifuzi (Rhizoma Typhonii Gigantei) as the basis formula can directly protect, recondition and ameliorate acne.
Estimating the outgoing longwave radiation from the FY-3B satellite visible infrared radiometer Channel 5 radiance observations

Abstract: Based on the infrared radiation transfer model, the outgoing longwave radiation (OLR) and Channel 5 radiance of Fengyun-3B (FY-3B) satellite visible infrared radiometer (VIRR) were simulated for 3812 global soundings. Using regression analysis of the simulations, an inverse model, which connected the flux equivalent brightness temperature with the channel brightness temperature, was derived. By applying the model to the FY-3B VIRR L1 data, the global OLR data at the time of the passing of the FY-3B were processed. The quality of the data was validated by comparing it with that of the NOAA-18 satellite’s advanced very high resolution radiometer (AVHRR). The validation results show root mean square errors in the range 10–13 W/M2 when comparing the daily average OLR of the VIRR with that of the NOAA-18 AVHRR, and the correlation coefficients were in the range 0.97–0.98. The larger RMSE is mainly due to the different passing times of the two satellites for the specific locations on the Earth. An example of the OLR data and its preliminary applications are given.

In the crystal, the presence of O—H...O, O—H...N and N—H...O hydrogen bonds leads to the formation of a three-dimensional network. The title compound crystallized in the chiral orthorhombic space group P212121 and was refined as an inversion twin [Flack parameter = 0.20 (18)].
