Quasi-Lumped Design of UWB BPF Using Suspended Stripline

Abstract: We propose a novel UWB bandpass filter (BPF) design using the suspended stripline (SSL). The filter composes of a lowpass and a high-pass circuit, both implemented by SSL structures. A notch response structure might be implemented to the filter by embedding a resonant slotline. The quasi-lumped elements circuit models were developed to analyze these circuits' performance. Experiments were conducted, and good agreements were observed between the measurements and simulations.
Design of High Order Suspended Stripline Bandpass Filter with Miniaturization

Abstract: A quasi-lumped design of a suspended stripline (SSL) bandpass filter (BPF) exhibiting high signal selectivity is proposed. In the circuit, transmission zeros were implanted to enhance the stopband signal rejection. A sample BPF having an operation band of 6.77--7.33\,GHz was fabricated and measured for performance verification of the proposed design.

Abstract: The CDEX Collaboration has been established for direct detection of light dark matter particles, using ultra-low energy threshold p-type point-contact germanium detectors, in China JinPing underground Laboratory (CJPL). The first 1 kg point-contact germanium detector with a sub-keV energy threshold has been tested in a passive shielding system located in CJPL. The outputs from both the point-contact p+ electrode and the outside n+ electrode make it possible to scan the lower energy range of less than 1 keV and at the same time to detect the higher energy range up to 3 MeV. The outputs from both p+ and n+ electrode may also provide a more powerful method for signal discrimination for dark matter experiment. Some key parameters, including energy resolution, dead time, decay times of internal X-rays, and system stability, have been tested and measured. The results show that the 1 kg point-contact germanium detector, together with its shielding system and electronics, can run smoothly with good performances. This detector system will be deployed for dark matter search experiments.

Abstract: The China Dark Matter Experiment (CDEX) is located at the China Jinping underground laboratory (CJPL) and aims to directly detect the WIMP flux with high sensitivity in the low mass region. Here we present a study of the predicted photon and electron backgrounds including the background contribution of the structure materials of the germanium detector, the passive shielding materials, and the intrinsic radioactivity of the liquid argon that serves as an anti-Compton active shielding detector. A detailed geometry is modeled and the background contribution has been simulated based on the measured radioactivities of all possible components within the GEANT4 program. Then the photon and electron background level in the energy region of interest (<10^-2 events kg-1 day-1 keV-1 (cpkkd)) is predicted based on Monte Carlo simulations. The simulated result is consistent with the design goal of CDEX-10 experiment, 0.1 cpkkd, which shows that the active and passive shield design of CDEX-10 is effective and feasible.
Chemical Composition and Antioxidant Activities of Three Polysaccharide Fractions from Pine Cones

Abstract: The traditional method of gas chromatography-mass spectrometry for monosaccharide component analysis with pretreatment of acetylation is described with slight modifications and verified in detail in this paper. It was then successfully applied to the quantitative analysis of component monosaccharides in polysaccharides extracted from the pine cones. The results demonstrated that the three pine cone polysaccharides all consisted of ribose, rhamnose, arabinose, xylose, mannose, glucose and galactose in different molar ratios. According to the recovery experiment, the described method was proved accurate and practical for the analysis of pine cone polysaccharides, meeting the need in the field of chemical analysis of Pinus plants. Furthermore; the chemical characteristics, such as neutral sugar, uronic acids, amino acids, molecular weights, and antioxidant activities of the polysaccharides were investigated by chemical and instrumental methods. The results showed that the chemical compositions of the polysaccharides differed from each other, especially in the content of neutral sugar and uronic acid. In the antioxidant assays, the polysaccharide fractions exhibited effective scavenging activities on ABTS radical and hydroxyl radical, with their antioxidant capabilities decreasing in the order of PKP > PAP > PSP. Therefore, although the polysaccharide fractions had little effect on superoxide radical scavenging, they still have potential to be developed as natural antioxidant agents in functional foods or medicine.
Differentiation of two strains of Escherichia coli by FT-IR spectroscopy

Abstract: Objective] To differentiate two strains of Escherichia coli from different sources by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). Methods] FT-IR fingerprint absorption spectra of two strains of E. coli from different sources were collected and analyzed by chemometric methods. Results] Two cluster models of principal component analysis (PCA) and hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) were established and could differentiate well the two strains of E. coli. Conclusion] As a rapid, easy-to-use and accurate technique, FT-IR spectroscopy can be used to differentiate microorganisms at the strain level from different sources.
Effects of Two Special Slow-Release Fertilizers on the Yield, Quality and Uptake and Utilization of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium in Cucumber

Abstract: 采用土培试验研究了黄瓜专用缓释肥对黄瓜产量品质及N,P,K养分吸收利用、土壤酶活性的影响.结果表明:2种专用缓释肥(CSRF1和CSRF2) 显著提高了黄瓜果实干物质量和总干物质量,CSRF1和CSRF2处理黄瓜果实干物质量较CCF,MSRF,OCF处理分别增加了23.3%~37.2%和16.5%~31.6%. 2种专用缓释肥(CSRF2和CSRF1) 提高了黄瓜果实的维生素C质量分数和氨基酸的质量分数,降低了硝酸盐质量分数.黄瓜根、茎、叶和果实的N,P,K养分质量分数均以CSRF2最高.黄瓜N,P,K积累量从大到小依次为CSRF2、CSRF1、MSRF、CCF、OCF,专用缓释肥处理的N,P,K积累量较MSRF,CCF和OCF处理分别提高了27.45%~46.55%,33.17%~56.20%和67.61%~102.13%.与普通复合肥相比,2种专用缓释肥处理的N,P,K相对养分利用效率分别增加了18.53%~24.20%,19.27%~20.02%和18.54%~35.69%.
Soil culture experiments were carried out to study the effects of special slow release fertilizers (CSRF1 and CSRF2) on the yield, quality and nutrient uptake and utilization of cucumber, and on soil enzyme activity. The results showed that compared with the treatments of CCF, MSRF and OCF (ordinary compound fertilizer), CSRF1 and CSRF2 significantly increased the dry weight of cucumber fruit and plant, by 23.3%-37.2% and 16.5%-31.6%, respectively, and they enhanced the contents of VC and amino acids and reduced nitrate content in the fruit. Of all the treatments, the highest contents of NPK in the roots, steam, leaves and fruit of the cucumber plants were observed in CSRF2, followed closely by the CSRF1 treatment. Accumulation of NPK in cucumber was in the order of CSRF2 > CSRF1 > MSRF > CCF > OCF, being 27.45%-46.55%, 33.17%-56.20% and 67.61%-102.13% higher in the treatments of the two special slow-release fertilizers than in MSRF, CCF and OCF treatments, respectively. Compared to the OCF treatment, the two special slow-release fertilizers gave an increase in relative utilization efficiency of N, P and K by 18.53%-24.20%, 19.27%-20.02% and 18.54%-35.69%, respectively

Abstract: The shortest route analysis is one of the fundamental functions in network analysis system.It has an important application in Geographical Information System(GIS).A topological space model has been presented and built,which store all points in the vector-graph layer based on grid method.The classical Dijkstra algorithm is improved and optimized based on the topological space model.In the proved algorithm,when treating a point,all points adjoins the point are pre-treated and put in a temporary set.Experiments demonstrate that the improved algorithm can speed up the route searching and decrease the(me-)(mory) occupancy.The new algorithm can be used to small memory terminal.

Abstract: Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs) are the candidates of dark matter in our universe. Up to now any direct interaction of WIMP with nuclei has not been observed yet. The exclusion limits of the spin-independent cross section of WIMP-nucleon which have been experimentally obtained is about 10^{-7}pb at high mass region and only 10^{-5}pb} at low mass region. China Jin-Ping underground laboratory CJPL is the deepest underground lab in the world and provides a very promising environment for direct observation of dark matter. The China Dark Matter Experiment (CDEX) experiment is going to directly detect the WIMP flux with high sensitivity in the low mass region. Both CJPL and CDEX have achieved a remarkable progress in recent two years. The CDEX employs a point-contact germanium semi-conductor detector PCGe whose detection threshold is less than 300 eV. We report the measurement results of Muon flux, monitoring of radioactivity and Radon concentration carried out in CJPL, as well describe the structure and performance of the 1 kg PCGe detector CDEX-1 and 10kg detector array CDEX-10 including the detectors, electronics, shielding and cooling systems. Finally we discuss the physics goals of the CDEX-1, CDEX-10 and the future CDEX-1T detectors.
Friction Behavior of Brush Electro-plated Ni-PTFE Nano-composite Coating

Abstract: Ni-PTFE nano-composite coatings were deposited on A3 carbon steel substrate using brush electro-plating technique.The morphologies of composite coatings as-etched after polishing were observed on a S-2700 scanning electron microscope(SEM).Hardness of composite coatings were investigated on a HX-1000 microhardness tester.Friction coefficient of composite coatings with different contents of PTFE under constant and various loads in a ball-on-disc configuration were measured on a MXTX S/X 20-0186 scratch tester.Roughness values were also measured on the same scratch tester.It was found that with addition of nano-PTFE,microstructure of coatings was refined and microhardness and roughness decreased.Friction coefficients of coatings,under condition of room temperature,low load and dry friction,also decreased with addition of nano-PTFE.Minimum friction coefficient could reach as low as 0.046.Values of friction coefficients of composite coatings and normal coatings increased with increase of loads.But friction coefficient values of the former were lower than that of the latter when loads were relatively low.
