A Study on the Relationship between Tourism Industry and Regional Economic Growth—A Case Study of Jiangsu Gaochun District  [PDF]

According to the tourism income and GDP data of Gaochun district from year 2001 to 2011, by using ADF unit root test, it can draw to a conclusion that the series of the economic growth (GDP) and the tourism revenue (TOUR) of Gaochun district shows first-order difference stationary. This paper confirms that there is a long-term integration relationship between the economic growth of Gaochun and tourism revenue and study the dynamic coherence between economic growth and tourism revenue by using error correction model and dynamic conditional correlation. As is shown by the Granger causality test, “GDP of Gaochun is the Granger reason for tourism revenue” while “tourism revenue is not the Granger reason for GDP”.

In this paper, we present Lyapunov-type inequality for conformable BVP \"\" with the conformable fractional derivative of order 1≤2 and 2≤3 with corresponding boundary conditions. We obtain the Lyapunov-type inequality by a construction Green’s function and get its corresponding maximum value. Application to the corresponding eigenvalue problem is also discussed.
Investigations into the Effect of Spatial Correlation on Channel Estimation and Capacity of Multiple Input Multiple Output System  [PDF]

Abstract: The paper reports on investigations into the effect of spatial correlation on channel estimation and capacity of a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) wireless communication system. Least square (LS), scaled least square (SLS) and minimum mean square error (MMSE) methods are considered for estimating channel properties of a MIMO system using training sequences. The undertaken mathematical analysis reveals that the accuracy of the scaled least square (SLS) and minimum mean square error (MMSE) channel estimation methods are determined by the sum of eigenvalues of the channel correlation matrix. It is shown that for a fixed transmitted power to noise ratio (TPNR) assumed in the training mode, a higher spatial correlation has a positive effect on the performance of SLS and MMSE estimation methods. The effect of accuracy of the estimated Channel State Information (CSI) on MIMO system capacity is illustrated by computer simulations for an uplink case in which only the mobile station (MS) transmitter is surrounded by scattering objects.

Abstract: A novel blind channel estimation method based on a simple coding scheme for a 2 by 2 multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system is described. The proposed algorithm is easy to implement in comparison with conventional blind estimation algorithms, as it is able to recover the channel matrix without performing singular value decomposition (SVD) or eigenvalue decomposition (EVD). The block coding scheme accompanying the proposed estimation approach requires only a block encoder at the transmitter without the need of using the decoder at the receiver. The proposed block coding scheme offers the full coding rate and reduces the noise power to half of its original value. It eliminates the phase ambiguity using only one additional pilot sequence.

Abstract: The frequent attacks on network infrastructure, using various forms of denial of service attacks, have led to an increased need for developing new techniques for analyzing network traffic. If efficient analysis tools were available, it could become possible to detect the attacks and to take action to weaken those attacks appropriately before they have had time to propagate across the network. In this paper, we propose an SNMP MIB oriented approach for detecting attacks, which is based on two-tier GCT by analyzing causal relationship between attacking variable at the attacker and abnormal variable at the target. According to the abnormal behavior at the target, GCT is executed initially to determine preliminary attacking variable, which has whole causality with abnormal variable in network behavior. Depending on behavior feature extracted from abnormal behavior, we can recognize attacking variable by using GCT again, which has local causality with abnormal variable in local behavior. Proactive detecting rules can be constructed with the causality between attacking variable and abnormal variable, which can be used to give alarms in network management system. The results of experiment showed that the approach with two-tier GCT was proved to detect attacks early, with which attack propagation could be slowed through early detection.

Abstract: In this paper, the capacity of a multiuser Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system employing the block diagonalization broadcasting scheme in presence of spatial correlation and mutual coupling is investigated. It is shown by computer simulations that, in general, the presence of spatial correlation decreases the capacity of a multiuser MIMO system. However, for some particular antenna element spacing mutual coupling decreases the spatial correlation rendering an increased capacity. The optimized diagonalization broadcasting technique with a two-stage power allocation scheme is proposed and verified. The presented simulations results confirm the advantage of the proposed broadcasting scheme.

How to improve healthcare system’ efficiency has been highly concerned by Chinese government. The objectives of this paper are to establish production function of medical service and analyze returns to scale; to measure technical efficiency; and to highlight possible policy implications of the results for policy makers. Stochastic Frontier Approach (SFA) is employed in this paper based on data from 2010 China Health Statistical Yearbook. These findings suggest that increasing investment on human resource is a key factor for raising CHS’ efficiency. Operation model and institution will contribute to technology efficiency of CHS.

Abstract: In this paper, we get many new analytical solutions of the space-time nonlinear fractional modified KDV-Zakharov Kuznetsov (mKDV-ZK) equation by means of a new approach namely method of undetermined coefficients based on a fractional complex transform. These solutions have physics meanings in natural sciences. This method can be used to other nonlinear fractional differential equations.

Abstract: It’s a very popular issue regarding the minimum cost spanning tree which is of great practical and economical significance to solve it in a concise and accelerated way. In this paper, the basic ideas of Kruskal algorithm were discussed and then presented a new improved algorithm—two branch Kruskal algorithm, which is improved to choose a middle value. Finally, because the time complexity is reduced, and the process is more convenient, it is concluded that the improved Kruskal algorithm is more effective in most cases compared with the Kruskal algorithm.
