Journal of Cancer Therapy (JCT) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/jct.2012.326114
Abstract: Colorectal cancer remains the third most common malignancy worldwide. According to the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), colorectal cancer is related to spleen-deficiency, damp-heat, and toxicity accumulation. Traditional Chinese medicine has been confirmed to effectively reduce toxic side effects and enhance curative effects of chemotherapy, palliate clinical syndrome, prevent recurrence and metastasis, improve quality of life and immune function, and prolong survival time in colorectal cancer. However, TCM theoretical and syndrome differentiation study has lagged far behind due to progression of therapy model in colorectal cancer. As a type of drug treatment, there are some common biological basis between chemotherapy, targeted therapy and anti-cancer herb therapy in colorectal cancer, such as apoptosis, cell senescence and autophagy. There are growing needs to explore the effect mechanism and compatibility of anti-cancer herbs, to further enhance the efficacy of TCM treatment in colorectal cancer.

Abstract: Nanocrystalline Ce0.8Y0.2O1.9 technique using citric acid as reductant and solid solution was synthesized by a gel combustion nitrates as oxidants. The effects of processing parameters, such as the amount of citric acid, the pH value of solution, the amount of oxidants on the gel formation and the powders characteristics of the product were investigated by using TG/DTA, XRD, FTIR, Raman and TEM. The stable gel was obtained by controlling the amount of citric acid and the pH value. The nanocrystalline Ce0.8Y0.2O1.9 powders in the range of 5nm to 40nm were obtained by changing the amount of oxidants. The Raman investigation showed that the oxygen vacancy concentration increased with the increase of the amount of oxidants.

Abstract: In this paper,we investigate the symmetry properties of weighting vectors of information aggregation operators, and present an ascending ordered weighted arithmetic averaging(AOWAA) operator and a linguistic AOWAA operator. We give, respectively,an equivalence condition of the descending ordered weighted arithmetic averaging(DOWAA) operator and ascending ordered weighted arithmetic averaging(AOWAA) operator, descending ordered weighted geometric(DOWGA) operator and ascending ordered weighted geometric(AOWGA) operator, linguistic DOWAA operator and linguistic AOWAA operator.Based on the symmetrical weighting vectors,we show that 1) If all the individual complementary judgment matrices are aggregated by using the DOWAA operator, then their aggregated judgment matrices are also complementary;2) If all the individual reciprocal judgment matrices are aggregated by using the DOWGA operator, then their aggregated judgment matrices are also reciprocal;3) If all the individual linguistic complementary judgment matrices are aggregated by using the linguistic DOWAA operator, then their aggregated judgment matrices are also linguistic complementary. Finally,we discuss the symmetry properties of some common weighting vectors of information aggregation operators.

Abstract: In the title compound, C14H16O3 [systematic name: (3R*,3aR*)-3-(3-furanyl)-3a,7-dimethyl-3a,4,5,6-tetrahydro-2-benzofuran-1(3H)-one], the pendant methyl and furan groups attached to the stereogenic centres lie to the same side of the fused ring system. The dihedral angle between the five-membered rings is 74.8 (2)°; the fused five-membered ring adopts a twisted conformation. In the crystal, molecules are linked by weak C—H...O interactions, which generate [100] chains.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army , 2012,
Abstract: Objective To explore the feasibility of dexmedetomidine as an adjuvant of sevoflurane for controlled hypotension in endoscopic sinus surgery. Methods Forty-eight patients (ASA Ⅰor Ⅱ) scheduled for endoscopic sinus surgery were randomly assigned into two groups (n=24): control group (group I) and dexmedetomidine group (group Ⅱ). In both groups, intravenous injection of midazolam, propofol, fentanyl, and atracurium besilate was given to induce anesthesia, and propofol, fentanyl, atracurium besilate, together with sevoflurane inhalation were used to maintain anesthesia. The radial artery was cannulated to monitor the invasive mean arterial pressure (MAP). Controlled hypotension was induced by adjusting the sevoflurane concentration in group Ⅰ. In group Ⅱ, within 15min to 30min before the induction of anesthesia, dexmedetomidine was administered in a dose of 0.8μg/kg via intravenous infusion pump, then maintained at 0.4μg/(kg·h). Sevoflurane concentration was adjusted to maintain the target blood pressure at the beginning of surgery. The MAP was maintained at 65-75mmHg up to the end of operation. Meanwhile, the heart rate (HR), MAP, epinephrine (E), and norepinephrine (NE) concentrations were recorded at the time of induction of anesthesia (T0), beginning of controlled hypotension (T1), 30min after controlled hypotension (T2), and at the time when extubation was performed (T3). Blood gas analysis and determination of lactic acid concentration were conducted using the blood drawn from the radial artery during the operation. The surgical field quality was assessed based on Fromme scores of surgical field quality (SSFQ). Meanwhile, the dose of sevoflurane, propofol, and fentanyl, MAP, the recovery time of anesthesia, and the incidence rate of untoward e ects were recorded. Results The doses of propofol, fentanyl and sevoflurane, and MAC value in group Ⅱwas significantly diminished compared with group Ⅰ(P<0.01). In addition, the surgical field quality was better, whereas SSFQ was obviously lower in group Ⅱ(P<0.05). The HR at the time of T0 to T3, and the MAP, E, and NE at the time of T0 and T3 in group Ⅱwere obviously lower compared with group Ⅰ(P<0.05). The results of blood gas analysis and lactic acid, and the time of regaining consciousness and extubation showed no statistical di erence between the two groups (P>0.05). Moreover, the incidence rates of nose distending pain, headache, delirium, and shivering were obviously lower in group Ⅱ(P<0.05). However, the incidence rate of bradycardia needing intervention was higher in group Ⅱthan in group Ⅰ. No sever
