Examining the Relative Influence of Risk and Control on Intention to Adopt Risky Technologies

Abstract: for technologies such as electronic commerce, mobile payments, internet and mobile banking etc. customers are concerned about security issues that arise as a result of adoption of these technologies. however, in practice, we find that customers forgo their considerations of risk in the technology, if the benefits of using the technology overpower the risks involved in using the technology. understanding their relative roles in technology adoption will help technology developers focus their efforts on either of them to improve technology adoption. results of this study reveal that in adopting a technology, customers are guided more by the perception of control rather than by the perception of risk. implications for theory and practice are discussed.

Abstract: In the two-dimensional title coordination polymer, [Zn(C8H4O4)(C14H14N4)]n, the ZnII atom adopts a distorted tetrahedral geometry, being ligated by two O atoms from two different benzene-1,3-dicarboxylate dianions and two N atoms from two symmetry-related 1,2-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene molecules. The dihedral angles between the imidazole rings and the benzene ring in the neutral ligand are 76.31 (13) and 85.33 (15)°. The ZnII atoms are bridged by dicarboxylate ligands, forming chains parallel to the a axis, which are further linked by 1,2-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene molecules, generating a two-dimensional layer structure parallel to the ac plane. The crystal structure is enforced by intralayer and interlayer C—H...O hydrogen bonds.

Abstract: In the title compound, [CdCl(NCS)(C9H8N2)]n, the CdII atom is in a distorted octahedral coordination environment defined by two chloride anions, two N atoms from an 8-aminoquinoline ligand, one N atom from one thiocyanate anion and one S atom from a symmetry-related thiocyanate anion. Two CdII atoms are bridged by two chloride anions, forming an inversion-related Cd2Cl2 unit; these units are further linked through thiocyanate anions, leading to a chain structure extending parallel to [010]. Weak π–π stacking interactions with centroid–centroid distances of 3.430 (4) and an interplanar separation of 3.390 (3) between the pyridine and benzene rings link the chains into a two-dimensional network parallel to (10overline{1}). Weak intermolecular C—H...Cl hydrogen-bonding interactions help to consolidate the crystal packing.

Abstract: In this note, we investigate the performance of the PCM scheme with linear quantization rule for quantizing unit-norm tight frame expansions for ${\mathbb R}^d$ without the White Noise Hypothesis. In \cite{WX}, Wang and Xu showed that for asymptotically equidistributed unit-norm tight frame the PCM quantization error has an upper bound ${\mathcal O}(\delta^{(d+1)/2})$ and they conjecture the upper bound is sharp. In this note, we confirm the conjecture with employing the asymptotic estimate of the Bessel functions.

To improve the performance of Ad hoc on-demand multipath distance vector (AOMDV) protocol, we proposed NS-AOMDV which is short for “AOMDV based on node state”. In NS-AOMDV, we introduce node state to improve AOMDV’s performance in selecting main path. In route discovery process, the routing update rule calculates the node weight of each path and sorts the path weight by descending value in route list, and we choose the path which has the largest path weight for data transmission. NS-AOMDV also uses the technology of route request (RREQ) packet delay forwarding and energy threshold to ease network congestion, limit the RREQ broadcast storm, and avoid low energy nodes to participate in the establishment of the path. The results of simulation show that NS-AOMDV can effectively improve the networks’packets delivery rate, throughput and normalized routing overhead in the situation of dynamic network topology and heavy load.

This paper describes the shortcomings and difficulties of power company security construction, such as site management for construction site security monitoring personnel is limited, in recent years , rural power grids and Urban Network alteration Faced with new situation. The use of advanced science and technology and communication terminal in order to better strengthen the means of power construction site safety supervision, improve the level of safety production supervision, design and development of a new electrical safety job site intelligent monitoring devices. The device consists of three parts of the remote wide angle 360 degrees of portable video surveillance equipment and 3G smart terminal equipment and portable battery. Through the application of such a device, professionals can remotely monitor the construction job site safety, diagnose, and effectively improve the security of the electricity sector management and reduce security risks and personnel on-site monitoring costs for improving the security of the entire power industry field operations with significance.

Seismic P-wave tomography in eastern Tibet: Formation of the rifts

Abstract: For better studying the relationship between the rifts and deep structure, a detailed P-wave velocity structure under eastern Tibet has been modeled using 4767 arrival times from 169 teleseismic events recorded by 51 portable stations. In horizontal slices through the model, a prominent low-velocity anomaly was detected under the rifts from the surface to a depth of ~250 km; this extends to a depth of ~400 km in the vertical slice. This low-velocity anomaly is interpreted as an upper mantle upwelling. The observations made provide seismic evidence for the formation of north-south trending rifts. East of the low-velocity anomaly, a clear high-velocity anomaly is found between depths of 40 and 200 km. Due to its shallow depth, we suggest that it consists of materials from an ancient continental closure rather than the Indian Plate. From depths of 250 to 400 km, a high-velocity anomaly appears to the south of the Jiali Fault. This anomaly may correspond to the northern edge of the Indian Plate that detached from the surface under the Himalayan block. We suggest that the Indian Plate underthrusts no further than the Jiali Fault in eastern Tibet.
Overexpression of the Rap2.4f transcriptional factor in Arabidopsis promotes leaf senescence

Abstract: Senescence is a complex and highly regulated process. Leaf senescence is influenced by endogenous developmental and external environmental signals. In this work, we found that expression of an Ap2/DREB-type transcription factor gene, Arabidopsis Rap2.4f (At4g28140), was upregulated by salt, mannitol, and dark treatments. Constitutively overexpressing Rap2.4f under the control of the CaMV 35S promoter led to an increased chlorophyll degradation rate and upregulation of many senescence-associated genes in the transgenic Arabidopsis lines. Our results show that Rap2.4f is a positive regulator of senescence, promoting both developmental and dark-induced leaf senescence.

Abstract: Proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) is the core component of replication complex in eukaryote. As a processive factor of DNA polymerase delta, PCNA coordinates the replication process by interacting with various replication proteins. PCNA appears to play an essential role in many cell events, such as DNA damage repair, cell cycle regulation, and apoptosis, through the coordination or organization of different partners. PCNA is an essential factor in cell proliferation, and has clinical significance in tumor research. In this article we review the functional structure of PCNA, which acts as a function switch in different cell events.

Abstract: This paper studies the Adaptive neural fuzzy inference systems (ANFIS) based on the fuzzy model Sugeno, on the basis of the network is given the right to amend the value of the algorithm, that is the most comprehensive steep decline in law and the least-squares method to be a mixed learning algorithm. And this paper gives its improved optimization, using conjugate gradient method to improve its premise parameters of learning speed. The concentration of air pollutants has strong nonlinear characteristics, we should conduct more accurate forecasts, it must take to capture nonlinear changes of the forecasting methods.
