New series involving the zeta function

Abstract: Atherosclerosis is a world-wide disease with severe effects on human health. Although it remains unclear about the pathological mechanisms of atherosclerosis that can not be efficiently prevented and treated so far, a large body of evidence suggests that increased level of plasma homocysteine is an independent risk factor for atherosclerosis. Numerous studies have found a close relationship between hyperhomocysteinemia and oxidative stress, endoplasmic reticulum stress, endothelial cell injury as well as increased viscosity of blood, but the underlying mechanisms are largely unknown. This brief review introduces protein homocysteinylation, to which more and more researchers abroad begin to pay attention. We mainly focus on homocysteinylation of antioxidant enzymes, endoplasmic reticulum resident proteins, coagulation factors, low-density lipoprotein and calcium signaling-related proteins. To elucidate an importance of protein homocysteinylation in the development of atherosclerotic plaque, we also describe how homocysteine and its derivative homocysteine thiolactone covalently modify proteins, by which the structure and physical-chemical properties of target molecules are altered.
Parameter tuning strategy for IEEE 802.11e EDCA mechanism

Abstract: The principle and wireless channel utility model of IEEE 802.11e EDCA mechanism was studied, and the importance of parameter settings of EDCA was illustrated. Based on this point, a simple and effective parameter tuning strategy for IEEE 802.11e EDCA was presented. Simulation results show that the proposed strategy can ensure the requirement of the real-time traffic, increase the throughput of the best-effort flow and optimize the performance of IEEE 802.11e EDCA mechanism.

Abstract: 基于模型检测的智能规划是当今通用的智能规划研究的热点,其求解效率比较高.但是,目前基于模型检测的智能规划系统没有考虑到利用领域知识来提高描述能力和求解效率.为此,研究了增加领域约束的基于模型检测的智能规划方法,并据此建立了基于模型检测的领域约束规划系统DCIPS(domain constraints integrated planning system).它主要考虑了领域知识在规划中的应用,将领域知识表示为领域约束添加到规划系统中.根据"规划=动作+状态",DCIPS将领域约束分为3种,即对象约束、过程约束和时序约束,采用对象约束来表达状态中对象之间的关系,采用过程约束来表达动作之间的关系,采用时序约束表达动作与状态中对象之间的关系.通过在2002年智能规划大赛AIPS 2002上关于交通运输领域的3个例子的测试,实验结果表明,利用领域约束的DCIPS可以方便地增加领域知识,更加实用化,其效率也有了相应的提高.
High-dose vs low-dose proton pump inhibitors for upper gastrointestinal bleeding: A meta-analysis

Abstract: AIM: To evaluate the efficacy of high-dose proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) vs low-dose PPIs for patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding.METHODS: PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, and Web of Science were searched to identify relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Eligible trials were RCTs that compared high-dose PPI with low-dose PPI following endoscopic hemostasis. The primary endpoint was rebleeding; secondary endpoints were patient numbers that needed surgery, and mortality. The meta-analysis was performed with a fixed effects model or random effects model.RESULTS: Nine eligible RCTs including 1342 patients were retrieved. The results showed that high-dose intravenous PPI was not superior to low-dose intravenous PPI in reducing rebleeding [odds ratio (OR) = 1.091, 95% confidential interval (CI): 0.777-1.532], need for surgery (OR = 1.522, 95% CI: 0.643-3.605) and mortality (OR = 1.022, 95% CI: 0.476-2.196). Subgroup analysis according to different region revealed no difference in rebleeding rate between Asian patients (OR = 0.831, 95% CI, 0.467-1.480) and European patients (OR = 1.263, 95% CI: 0.827-1.929).CONCLUSION: Low-dose intravenous PPI can achieve the same efficacy as high-dose PPI following endoscopic hemostasis.

Abstract: The definition of reliability of knowledge-updating in network knowledge resource management system (NKRM system for brief) has been given in this paper, which has important reference value to the evaluation of NKRM system. Besides, two kinds of models in NKRM system have been introduced. And one of the most common methods to improve reliability is the redundant technique. However, reliability and efficiency are inconsistent each other. By treating each knowledge as one part of the system, this paper proposes method of joint reserve of knowledge that may resolve this problem.

Abstract: 根据对鮻(Liza haematocheila)进行21 d 的室内模拟实验所得数据, 分析了两种饵料条件(饵料1:高营养价饵料; 饵料2: 低营养价饵料)饲育下鮻的碳循环过程。结果表明: 鮻摄食高营养价饵料后的碳消化率显著低于摄食低营养价饵料。摄入碳量受饵料种类影响, 与饵料营养价值成反比。碳摄入量中用于生长的部分(以比例衡量)不受饵料种类影响, 通过非粪便途径流失量远远高于粪便途径, 约为后者的8~10 倍。转运碳(y)与体质量(x)之间成线性关系为: y=723.13x?62.124(饵料1)与y=718.99x+832.32(饵料2)。鮻的碳收支方程式为100 摄入碳=13.03 生长碳+13.08 粪便碳+73.89 非粪便流失碳(饵料1)和100 摄入碳=12.70 生长碳+8.18 粪便碳+79.12 非粪便流失碳(饵料2)。
