Synthesis of TiO2/Al-MCM-41 Composites with Coal-Measure Kaolin and Performance in Its Photocatalysis  [PDF]

Abstract: TiO2/Al-MCM-41 composites with various titania content were prepared by loading titania into the mesopores of Al-MCM-41 mesoporous molecular sieve from coal-measure kaolin as silicon and aluminum source via general sol-gel method and incipient wetness impregnation method. TiO2/Al-MCM-41 composites were characterized by XRD, FT-IR and SEM, and the photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange solution under visible light irradiation. The results showed that the titania crystalline phase was anatase, and the particles size of TiO2 increase with TiO2 content. The photocatalytic degradation rates of all samples prepared by sol-gel method and incipient wetness impregnation have been become stable by visible light irradiation for 150 min, and the highest degradation rate was 83.7% and 76% respectively.
Improving AOR Method for a Class of Two-by-Two Linear System  [PDF]

Abstract: In this paper, the preconditioned accelerated overrelaxation (AOR) method for solving a class of two-by-two linear systems is presented. A new preconditioner is proposed according to the idea of [1] by Wu and Huang. The spectral radii of the iteration matrix of the preconditioned and the original methods are compared. The comparison results show that the convergence rate of the preconditioned AOR methods is indeed better than that of the original AOR methods, whenever the original AOR methods are convergent under certain conditions. Finally, a numerical example is presented to confirm our results.
Dynamic Coal Logistics Facility Location under Demand Uncertainty  [PDF]

In this paper, dynamic facility location and supply chain planning are studied through minimizing the costs of facility location, path selection and transportation of coal under demand uncertainty. The proposed model dynamically incorporates possible changes in transportation network, facility investment costs, operating cost and changes in facility location. In addition, the time variation and the demand uncertainty for coal in each period of the planning horizon is taken into account to determine the optimal facility location and the optimal production volumes. Computational process and results are presented for the model in a java language. Also, an empirical case study in Shanxi province is conducted in order to investigate the dynamic effects of traffic congestion and demand uncertainty on facility location design and total system costs.

Abstract: This paper analyzes many serious defects existing in traditional aggregate demand/aggregate supply paradigm based on IS-LM model. Those defects cause the situation that IS-LM model declines gradually, but it is still not dead, and continuously revives through modification. This paper distinguishes from rounds of modification on traditional aggregate demand/aggregate supply paradigm. The first round of modification was just introducing the dynamic ad hoc IS-LM model of rational expectation which started from the end of 1970s and the beginning of 1980s. Because the micro-foundation problems are not solved and the rational expectation carries out extreme judgment on monetary neutrality and ineffectiveness of macroeconomic policy, the first modification fails to realize big success. The second round of modification is just happening; through introducing rational expectation and New Phillips Curve (NPC), the powerful improvement has been made in micro-foundation, dynamic form, and monetary policy rules, and the model is called IS-LM/ MP-NPC model. This paper also points out some limitations which are not solved in the second modification.
Characteristic Analysis of Transient Electromagnetic Disturbance Data in Substation  [PDF]

Characteristic analysis of transient electromagnetic disturbance data is very important. In this paper, the time-domain and frequency-domain characteristics of transient electromagnetic disturbance caused by switching operations in substations are analyzed. Two methods are adopted in time-domain analysis. One method is histogram and the other one is normality test. An appropriate procedure for the normality test is proposed. Furthermore, the method used in frequency- domain analysis is to obtain overall envelope. These statistical characteristic analysis methods are showed to be of great value in analyses of the measured samples. The simulation results showed that these methods are effective.

Study on the Inventory Routing Problem of Refined Oil Distribution Based on Working Time Equilibrium  [PDF]

Taking the distribution route optimization of refined oil as background, this paper studies the inventory routing problem of refined oil distribution based on working time equilibrium. In consideration of the constraints of vehicle capacity, time window for unloading oil, service time and demand of each gas station, we take the working time equilibrium of each vehicle as goal and establish an integer programming model for the vehicle routing problem of refined oil distribution, the objective function of the model is to minimize the maximum working time of vehicles. To solve this model, a Lingo program was written and a heuristic algorithm was designed. We further use the random generation method to produce an example with 10 gas stations. The local optimal solution and approximate optimal solution are obtained by using Lingo software and heuristic algorithm respectively. By comparing the approximate optimal solution obtained by heuristic algorithm with the local optimal solution obtained by Lingo software, the feasibility of the model and the effectiveness of the heuristic algorithm are verified. The results of this paper provide a theoretical basis for the scheduling department to formulate the oil distribution plan.

Abstract: Objective: The aim is to understand the status of rural medical waste management and problems and to make recommendations. Methods: The questionnaire survey, interviews and comparative analysis are used. Results: Compared with urban medical waste management, rural medical waste management is weaker in classification, unified recycle, disposals, protect measures of related personnel, regulations and policies of awareness. Conclusion: It is recommended to improve policies and regulations of rural medical waste management, strengthen rural infrastructures and facilities, improve supervision and innovates means of supervision.
Analysis of the Causes of Chronic Pain after Inguinal Hernia Repair without Tension and Its Prevention and Treatment  [PDF]

Abstract: Purpose: Analyzing the causes of pain after tension-free repair in the inguinal hernia, and propose corresponding treatment strategies. Results: The patients in this group were followed up for 3 - 12 months. A total of 5 patients still had pain relief within 3 months after surgery. Further treatment was needed, and the incidence rate was 5%. Conclusion: Skilled surgical procedures are performed in patients with local anesthesia, and some of the absorbable repair materials can be used. The improved patch fixation and extra peritoneal repair can reduce the pain after inguinal hernia repair without tension.
A Multi-Agent Particle Swarm Optimization for Power System Economic Load Dispatch  [PDF]

Abstract: A new versatile optimization, the particle swarm optimization based on multi-agent system (MAPSO) is presented. The economic load dispatch (ELD) problem of power system can be solved by the algorithm. By competing and cooperating with the randomly selected neighbors, and adjusting its global searching ability and local exploring ability, this algorithm achieves the goal of high convergence precision and speed. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, this algorithm is tested by three different ELD cases, including 3, 13 and 40 units IEEE cases, and the experiment results are compared with those tested by other intelligent algorithms in the same cases. The compared results show that feasible solutions can be reached effectively, local optima can be avoided and faster solution can be applied with the proposed algorithm, the algorithm for ELD problem is versatile and efficient.

Abstract: In this paper, the efficient population utilization strategy for particle swarm optimization (EPUSPSO) is proposed to solve the economic load dispatch (ELD) problem of power system. This algorithm improves the accuracy and the speed of its convergence by changing the number of particles effectively, and improving the velocity equation and position equation. In order to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm, this algorithm is tested in three different ELD cases of power system include IEEE 3-unit case, 13-unit case, and 40-unit case, and the obtained results are compared with those obtained from other algorithms using the same system parameters. The compared results show that the algorithm can find the optimal solution effectively and accurately, and avoid falling into the local optimal problem; meanwhile, faster speed can be ensured in the case.
