The Design of State Monitoring System Based on Complex Network

Abstract: The essence of the state monitoring for the electric power network is the pattern clustering of its operating state. This study introduces the research results of complex network, establishing the network model of fault diagnosis, converting the fault diagnosis for the electric power network into the detection problem of sub-network, realizing the state clustering by means of the block merging algorithms and the optimal rules functions. On this basis, a practical state monitoring system for the electric power network is designed which real-time collects the operating status data by the multi-sensor. The method based on complex network analysis is proved by the experiments to be effective in state classification and fault diagnosis for the electric power network.
Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction of Carnosic Acid and Rosmarinic Acid Using Ionic Liquid Solution from Rosmarinus officinalis

Abstract: Ionic liquid based, ultrasound-assisted extraction was successfully applied to the extraction of phenolcarboxylic acids, carnosic acid and rosmarinic acid, from Rosmarinus officinalis. Eight ionic liquids, with different cations and anions, were investigated in this work and [C 8mim]Br was selected as the optimal solvent. Ultrasound extraction parameters, including soaking time, solid–liquid ratio, ultrasound power and time, and the number of extraction cycles, were discussed by single factor experiments and the main influence factors were optimized by response surface methodology. The proposed approach was demonstrated as having higher efficiency, shorter extraction time and as a new alternative for the extraction of carnosic acid and rosmarinic acid from R. officinalis compared with traditional reference extraction methods. Ionic liquids are considered to be green solvents, in the ultrasound-assisted extraction of key chemicals from medicinal plants, and show great potential.

A generalization of the quadrangulation relation to constellations and hypermaps

Abstract: Constellations and hypermaps generalize combinatorial maps, i.e. embedding of graphs in a surface, in terms of factorization of permutations. In this paper, we extend a result of Jackson and Visentin (1990) stating an enumerative relation between quadrangulations and bipartite quadrangulations. We show a similar relation between hypermaps and constellations by using a result of Littlewood on factorization of characters. A combinatorial proof of Littlewood's result is also given. Furthermore, we show that coefficients in our relation are all positive integers, hinting possibility of a combinatorial interpretation. Using this enumerative relation, we recover a result on the asymptotic behavior of hypermaps in Chapuy (2009).
Bijective proofs of character evaluations using trace forest of the jeu de taquin

Abstract: Irreducible characters in the symmetric group are of special interest in combinatorics. They can be expressed either combinatorially with ribbon tableaux, or algebraically with contents. In this paper, these two expressions are related in a combinatorial way. We first introduce a fine structure in the famous jeu de taquin called "trace forest", with which we are able to count certain types of ribbon tableaux, leading to a simple bijective proof of a character evaluation formula in terms of contents that dates back to Frobenius (1901). Inspired by this proof, we give an inductive scheme that gives combinatorial proofs to more complicated formulae for characters in terms of contents.
New Computational Result on Harmonious Trees

Abstract: Graham and Sloane proposed in 1980 a conjecture stating that every tree has a harmonious labelling, a graph labelling closely related to additive base. Very limited results on this conjecture are known. In this paper, we proposed a computational approach to this conjecture by checking trees with limited size. With a hybrid algorithm, we are able to show that every tree with at most 31 nodes is harmonious, extending the best previous result in this direction.
Toward a Better Understanding of Leaderboard

Abstract: The leaderboard in machine learning competitions is a tool to show the performance of various participants and to compare them. However, the leaderboard quickly becomes no longer accurate, due to hack or overfitting. This article gives two advices to avoid this. It also points out that the Ladder leaderboard successfully prevents this with $\tilde{O}(\epsilon^{-3})$ samples in the validation set.
A Computational Approach to the Graceful Tree Conjecture

Abstract: Graceful tree conjecture is a well-known open problem in graph theory. Here we present a computational approach to this conjecture. An algorithm for finding graceful labelling for trees is proposed. With this algorithm, we show that every tree with at most 35 vertices allows a graceful labelling, hence we verify that the graceful tree conjecture is correct for trees with at most 35 vertices.

Abstract:

In order to formulate the logistics risk early warning model of listed corporations of manufacturing industry in Beijing area,40 A-stock listed companies of manufacturing enterprise in Beijing area are taken as the study samples, the principal components analysis method is applied to the logistics risk index of Sample Firms in 2009-2011 for extracting principal components to achieve simplified indicators. The validity of the constructed model is tested, the strengths and limitations of the early warning model are analyzed and the ways to improve the validity of the early warning model are proposed.
