Using Bayesian Game Model for Intrusion Detection in Wireless Ad Hoc Networks  [PDF]

Abstract: Wireless ad ho network is becoming a new research fronter, in which security is an important issue. Usually some nodes act maliciously and they are able to do different kinds of Denial of Service (Dos). Because of the limited resource, intrusion detection system (IDS) runs all the time to detect intrusion of the attacker which is a costly overhead. In our model, we use game theory to model the interactions between the intrusion detection system and the attacker, and a realistic model is given by using Bayesian game. We solve the game by finding the Bayesian Nash equilibrium. The results of our analysis show that the IDS could work intermittently without compromising on its effectiveness. At the end of this paper, we provide an experiment to verify the rationality and effectiveness of the proposed model.
44 Victimization of Sulfur Mustard in Qiqihar: Case Reports  [PDF]

Background: Sulfur mustard (2,2’-bis-chloroethyl-sulfide; SM) has been a military threat since the World War I. SM is the major chemical warfare agent used byJapanduring World War II. The clinical picture of poisoning, including cutaneous blisters, respiratory tract damage, ocular lesions and bone marrow depression is well known. In this report, we describe a civilian exposure in August 2003, in Qiqihar, Northeast Chinas Heilongjiang Province. Aim: To describe the clinical features and treatment of sulfur mustard toxicity. Results: In 44 victims of SM exposure, 32 had ocular symptoms; 43 showed significant skin blistering and pigmentation; 15 had pulmonary symptoms such as productive cough occurred; 18 have Central nervous symptoms and other effects. Conclusion: The 44 victims were all injured, when five barrels of mustard gas were dug up at a construction site inQiqihar. The gas leak killed one and injured 43 others, one of the worst accidents involving chemical weapons abandoned by Japanese invading troops in China after WWII.

Analysis and Design of 4 × 4 MIMO-Antenna Systems in Mobile Phone  [PDF]

Abstract: MIMO antenna systems can greatly improve the capacity and transmission rate of wireless communication. In this letter, two four-port multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna systems are proposed in mobile devices. An algorithm of calculating envelope correlation (ρe) between antenna units is also proposed. By this algorithm the ρe of the PIFA-MIMO antenna system has been calculated. First, a PIFA-MIMO antenna system is designed for ISM (2.4 GHZ) application. The slots are etched on the ground and the antenna units are placed in such a way that the polarization diversity is exploited to enhance the impedance matching and isolation. Based on this, a printed wideband MIMO antenna system is proposed for portable 3G and 4G applications by means of multi-branch and the defect of ground technology, increasing the bandwidth and reducing mutual coupling between the antennas. The simulation results show that the return loss and isolation of the two antenna systems can meet the performance requirements of the antennas in the mobile phone.

Abstract: As the progress of 3D rendering technology and the changes of market demand, the 3D application has been widely used and reached as far as education, entertainment, medical treatment, city planning, military training and so on. Its trend is gradually changed from client to web, and so many people start to research the 3D graphics engine technology on the web. WebGL and HTML5 rise in recent years and WebGL solves two problems of interactive 3D application on the web perfectly. Firstly, it implements the interactive 3D web application by JavaScript without any browser plug-in components. Secondly, it makes graphics rendering using the underlying graphics hardware, which is united, standard and cross-platform OpenGL interface. However, it is very difficult for 3D application web programmer to understand multifarious details. Therefore, a 3D engine based on WebGL comes into being. The paper consults the existing 3D engine design idea, architecture and implementation experience, and designs a 3D graphics engine based on WebGL and Typescript.

Abstract: In the title compound, {[Mn(C15H8O7)(C10H8N2)(H2O)3]·C10H8N2·2H2O}n, the bridging mode of the coordinating 4,4′-bipyridine ligands leads to the formation of polymeric zigzag chains parallel to [0-11]. The chains are separated by 4,4′-bipyridine and water solvent molecules. Within a chain, the MnII atom is six-coordinated by two N atoms of the bridging 4,4′-bipyridine ligands, three water O atoms and one carboxylate O atom of a single deprotonated 3-(4-carboxyphenoxy)phthalic acid ligand. Both coordinating and solvent 4,4′-bipyridine molecules are situated on centres of inversion. An intricate network of O—H...O and O—H...N hydrogen bonds involving the carboxy group, the coordinating water molecules and the two types of solvent molecules leads to the formation of a three-dimensional network.
Injection Based Dynamic Power Management and a Policy for Multiprocessor Systems

Abstract: Power consumption has become a critical issue in designing computer systems. Dynamic power management is an approach that aims to reduce power consumption at system level by selectively placing components into low power states. Time-out and prediction based policies are often adopted in practical systems. However, they have to accurately determine the time in low power state and otherwise the saved power consumption is not worth the loss of performance. In this paper, a power management for multiprocessor systems is proposed to optimally reduce the power consumption of multiple processors. The key feature of the proposed power management is that how long to place a processor into low power state is determined in advance but not decided when a processor becomes idle. Thus, many off-time quanta are pre-determined beforehand. The proposed power management schedules the off-time quanta to processors and a processor is placed into low power state if an off-time quantum is assigned to it. It seems that processors execute special tasks which just reduce the power supplied to them. Hence, the off-time quanta are also named sleep tasks, which are virtual and injected into the original task traffic. By doing so, the inaccurate time length of sleep tasks hardly impacts on the performance, because if a processor is blocked by a sleep task there is another one available except that all the others are blocked at the same time. Then a probabilistic policy is also proposed to optimally assign sleep tasks from the waiting queue to the processors for minimum loss of performance. In the proposed policy, high priority is given to real tasks and sleep tasks are serviced only on necessity. The analysis of the probabilistic policy is performed on a queueing model and shows that the policy is asymptotically optimal. The proposed power management and policy are further examined in empirical studies.

Abstract: We study the parabolic complex Monge-Amp\`ere type equations on closed Hermitian manfolds. We derive uniform $C^\infty$ {\em a priori} estimates for normalized solutions, and then prove the $C^\infty$ convergence. The result also yields a way to carry out method of continuity for elliptic Monge-Amp\'ere type equations.
