Influence of Genetic Polymorphism of Styrene-Metablizing Enzymes on Occupational Exposure Monitoring to Styrene  [PDF]

In this study, we selected 58 styrene-exposed workers, measured personal styrene exposure, evaluated genotypes relevant drug-metabolizing enzymes (CYP2E1, EPHX1, GSTM1 and GSTT1) which may explain the variability in the urinary metabolite excretion. The results showed that, in different levels of styrene exposure groups, there is a significant association between urinary metabolites and some genotypes of styrene-metabolizing enzymes, including CYP2E1 (5-flanking region, RsaI/PstI), GSTM1(gene deletions) and EPHX1(predicted activity).

Abstract: In the title compound, {[Zn(C5H6O4)(C14H8N4)(H2O)]·H2O}n, the Zn2+ ion is coordinated by an N,N′-bidentate pyrazino[2,3-f][1,10]phenanthroline (pyphen) ligand, a water molecule and a monodentate glutarate (glu) dianion. A symmetry-generated O:O′-bidentate glu dianion completes a distorted cis-ZnN2O4 octahedral coordination geometry for the metal ion. The bridging glu species generates [110] polymeric chains in the crystal. O—H...O hydrogen bonds involving both the coordinated and uncoordinated water molecules help to consolidate the structure and neighbouring pyphen units interact through numerous aromatic π–π interactions [minimum centroid–centroid separation = 3.654 (3) ], resulting in a two-dimensional network.

Abstract: In the title compound, [Cd(C8H4O4)(C11H6N2O)(H2O)3]·5H2O, the CdII atom is seven-coordinated by two N atoms from one bidentate phenanthroline-derived ligand and by five O atoms, two from one bidentate benzene-1,3-dicarboxylate (1,3-BDC) ligand and three from water molecules, in a distorted pentagonal-bipyramidal geometry. Neighbouring units interact through π–π interactions [centroid–centroid distances = 3.380 (3) and 3.283 (4) ]. Finally, three types of O—H...O hydrogen bonds exist between coordinated dissociative water molecules and hybridization water molecules and carboxylate O atoms, resulting in a two-dimensional network parallel to (010).

Abstract: A Streetcar Named Desire is a famous play written by American playwright Tennessee Williams, for which he was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1984. He is highly praised and eulogized for its delicate construction, refined writing, vivid characters and provoking thoughts. It mainly deals with the conflicts between two symbolic characters, Blanche DuBois—a fading gentlewoman of the Old South--and Stanley Kowalski, an industrial, urban immigrant with unrefined characteristics. In particular, Blanche, as the representative of delicate and fragile southern female images, has been the focus of discussion. This paper analyzes this typical controversial heroine from the perspective of feminism in terms of social culture, economic factor and women’s psychology to find out the main factors for her destruction. Key words: desire, feminism, social culture, economic factor, women’s psychology Résumé: Un Tramway Nommé Désir est une célèbre pièce écrite par le dramaturge américain Tennessee Williams, pour lequel il a re u le Prix Pulitzer pour le Drame en 1984. Il traite essentiellement les conflits entre les deux personnages symboliques, Blanche Dubois-une dame fanée de vieux Sud - et Stanley Kowalski, un immigrant urbain industriel avec la caractéristique non raffinée. En particulier, Blanche, comme le représentant de l’image des femmes du sud délicat et fragile, était le point focal de la discussion. Abstract: Based on panel data from 2000 to 2012, quantitative analysis was conducted on the relationship between intellectual property protection and China’s high-technology industry innovation. Results indicate that the intensity of intellectual property protection in China increases year by year and has a positive effect on the industrial knowledge base of the high-tech industry in China. The industrial knowledge base of each sub-industry in the high-tech industry of China has positive effects on owning inventive patents (OIP) and sales revenue of new products (SRNP). However, but stringent intellectual property protection has a certain inhibitory effect on OIP and SRNP for the manufacture of medicines, manufacture of medical equipment and measuring instruments, and manufacture of electronic and communication equipment. Moreover, stringent intellectual property protection has negative effects on OIP of all five sub-industries of the high-tech industry in China.

Abstract: China has been fast growing over past 30 years. Whether China could keep relatively high speed sustained growth is very important to the whole world. And it is worthwhile to analyze the reason to keep high speed sustained growth. The paper analyzes the total amount situation of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of China as the second world economy entity. As a developing fast growing country, China has its own characteristics and also has big gap to the first world economy entity, the USA. With the rapid development of internet, the paper compares the traditional business model to future business model development. As a part of national strategies of China, internet is becoming one of the most important tools for both business increasing and marketing developing with its users fast growing. The relativity between internet and China economy is analyzed through related model. With internet plus time coming, China economy development will be related to internet tightly in current time and future.
A Star Recognition Method Based on the Adaptive Ant Colony Algorithm for Star Sensors

Abstract: A new star recognition method based on the Adaptive Ant Colony (AAC) algorithm has been developed to increase the star recognition speed and success rate for star sensors. This method draws circles, with the center of each one being a bright star point and the radius being a special angular distance, and uses the parallel processing ability of the AAC algorithm to calculate the angular distance of any pair of star points in the circle. The angular distance of two star points in the circle is solved as the path of the AAC algorithm, and the path optimization feature of the AAC is employed to search for the optimal (shortest) path in the circle. This optimal path is used to recognize the stellar map and enhance the recognition success rate and speed. The experimental results show that when the position error is about 50″, the identification success rate of this method is 98% while the Delaunay identification method is only 94%. The identification time of this method is up to 50 ms.
Comparison of paleoclimatic characteristics between monsoon and westerly areas, China

Abstract: For past decades there have been many studies on the climate features during the last interglacial and glacial periods. A comparison between the loess record of western China with that of monsoon areas shows some regional differences. (i) Generally, the climate of the Yili region since the late Pleistocene was dry, with fluctuations. Late Pleistocene climate change in the study area can be divided into 5 stages, corresponding to 5 marine isotopic stages (MIS1-MIS5). (ii) Evidence from grain size composition, magnetic susceptibility, carbonate content, pollen assemblage and geochemistry shows that the climate during the last glacial period was instable. During MIS4 the westerly winds were strong and the humidity was relatively high. Compared with the early stage, MIS2 was dry. In MIS3, westerly winds were relatively weak; pedogenesis prevailed, forming paleosols. (iii) In contrast to the Loess Plateau the deposition rate of dust at the early stage was higher than at the late stage of the last galical in the Yili region. The strongest wind event occurred at about 24 kaBP instead of 18 kaBP. (iv) Variations in the grain size indicate that the westerly winds decreased since the deglaciation, but dust accumulation continued until the late Holocene. High carbonate contents, low ratio of Rb/Sr and lack of soil development imply that the climate was dry during the early and middle Holocene. Since the late Holocene the climate became relatively wet and the soil was developed.
Establishment and application of National Crop Germplasm Resources Infrastructure in China

Abstract: Crop germplasm resources are a key component of biodiversity, and can serve as a material basis for crop breeding and agroproduction. For a long time, ununified standards, widely-scattered germplasm storage, and weak information network infrastructure have restricted the sharing and utilization of crop germplasm resources in China. In order to overcome these problems, the concept and architecture of a program called the National Crop Germplasm Resources Infrastructure (NCGRI) were proposed. The NCGRI is a virtual organization which brings together crop germplasm resources from the national long-term genebank, the national duplicate genebank, the national medium-term genebank, the national field genebank, and the national germplasm information center. The principles and methods for establishing a technical standard system were elaborated. Complete with descriptor lists, a data dictionary, and data quality control standards, the group established a technical standard system for 110 crops. A protocol for sample sharing that is driven by information sharing was put forward. The national crop germplasm resources database with 390,000 accessions and the Chinese Crop Germplasm Resources Information Network (http://www.cgris.net/) were established as repositories. Finally five service-modes including routine service, field display services, targeted services, demand for services, and guide services were created.
