“Kunstlehre” and Applied Phenomenology  [PDF]

Abstract: This article attempts to clarify the ambiguity or double sense of “Kunstlehre” by Husserl and Gadamer, and emphasizes “Kunstlehre” as pure science that originated in Aristotle’s evaluation of theoría, and as fine art, or as the nature or quasi-nature of “as if”, according to Kant’s idea. Aristotle’s concept of phrónesis will be also regarded as a kind of natural “as if”, and considered as “Kunstlehre”. Gadamer’s philosophical hermeneutics makes a high level or deep theoretical reflection on the “Kunst” of understanding. He founds his hermeneutics under phrónesis, which will be discussed in detail. Regarding the application of “Kunstlehre” to a practical research, this article shows a contribution by Hersch, and explains how phrónesis is actualized in a case study by him. In the end, “Kunstslehre” will be pointed out as a process of exercise with time whereby Sensus communis functions as a principle (arché) of Gadamer’s hermeneutics, and makes the process of the formation of phrónesis possible
Sidelobe Suppression in CR-OFDM system by Adding Extended Data Carriers  [PDF]

Abstract: Out-band radiation is a severe problem for Cognitive Radio with OFDM system (CR-OFDM) which is caused by the sidelobe of OFDM signals. Lots of studies have been done on suppressing the sidelobe power and numerous methods have been proposed. In this paper, we propose a novel method to minimize the sidelobe by adding extended data carrier so called EDC to the original data carriers so as to protect primary user (PU) spectrum. Unlike the methods before, the EDCs are deployed within the secondary user (SU) data frequency spectrum to fully use the spectrum. Moreover, we derive the linear least squares problem to get the optimal weighting factors of EDCs to minimize the sidelobe power which is subject to an original data interference constraint. By simulation, we find that EDC is more capable in sidelobe suppression than method of Cancellation Carrier (CC) while EDC has only a small loss in BER performance.

Abstract: By briefly reviewing relevant theories and studies about marketing channel evaluation and directing at the channel characteristics of painting material industry, this paper discusses how enterprises choose competitive marketing channels from the angle of brand building. Studies are carried out from three aspects which are economic efficiency, stability and expansibility of channels, and an evaluation index system of selecting channel members in painting material industry is established. Besides, comprehensive evaluation is conducted for distribution efficiency, transaction cost, cooperative intention, operation capacity, competitive capacity and sustainable development capacity of channels through 18 indexes. Moreover, evaluation model of channel selection in painting material industry is constructed via analytic hierarchy process.

Abstract: Naturally, like the web, integrated software systems in Internet will have to be distributed and heterogeneous. To im-prove the interoperability of services for SAAS, it is crucial to build requirements semantics that will cross the entire lifecycle of services especially on requirements stage. In this paper, a requirements semantics interoperability extend-ing approach called Connecting Ontologies (CO) that will act as semantics information carrier designing to facilitate the requirements identification and services composition is proposed. Semantic measurement of Chinese scenario is explored. By adopting the approach, a series of tools support for transport domain are developed and applied based on CO and DPO (Domain Problem Ontology) to enforce requirements engineering of networked software efficiently.

How to improve healthcare system’ efficiency has been highly concerned by Chinese government. The objectives of this paper are to establish production function of medical service and analyze returns to scale; to measure technical efficiency; and to highlight possible policy implications of the results for policy makers. Stochastic Frontier Approach (SFA) is employed in this paper based on data from 2010 China Health Statistical Yearbook. These findings suggest that increasing investment on human resource is a key factor for raising CHS’ efficiency. Operation model and institution will contribute to technology efficiency of CHS.

Abstract: With the integration of China and WTO, the export-oriented economy in Taian city is gradually showing the booming trend. And the increase of the foreign-related enterprises also makes the increase of Business English talents. By conducting questionnaire and interview of the Export-oriented Enterprises in Taiancity, this paper analyzes the demand of Business English talents of export-oriented enterprises in Taian city. Results show that there are some differences between the demand of the enterprises and the present situation of the Business English talents. Then, this paper gives some suggestions and counter-measures for this situation.
Virtual Antenna Array Analysis for MIMO Synthetic Aperture Radars

Abstract: Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) that employs multiple antennas to transmit orthogonal waveforms and multiple antennas to receive radar echoes is a recently proposed remote sensing concept. It has been shown that MIMO SAR can be used to improve remote sensing system performance. Most of the MIMO SAR research so far focused on signal/data models and corresponding signal processing algorithm. Little work related to MIMO SAR antenna analysis can be found. One of the main advantages of MIMO SAR is that the degrees of freedom can be greatly increased by the concept of virtual antenna array. In this paper, we analyze the virtual antenna array for MIMO SAR high-resolution wide-swath remote sensing applications. The one-dimensional uniform and nonuniform linear antenna arrays are investigated and their application potentials in high-resolution wide-swath remote sensing are introduced. The impacts of nonuniform spatial sampling in the virtual antenna array are analyzed, along with a multichannel filtering-based reconstruction algorithm. Conceptual system and discussions are provided. It is shown that high operation flexibility and reconfigurability can be obtained by utilizing the virtual antenna arrays provided by the MIMO SAR systems, thus enabling a satisfactory remote sensing performance.
