Abstract: The coupling coefficient and the coupled-mode equations of linearly chirped moiré fiber grating(LCMG) are presented.The spectral and group delay characteristics of several LCMGs are simulated by using a fourth-order adaptive-step-size Runge-Kutta algorithm to numerically solve the coupled-mode equations.The analysis results show that LCMGs have a favorable prospect in wavelength-division multiplexing all-optical networks due to their phase shift and apodization properties.

Abstract: In the policy-based network management system of IETF,the Policy Enforcement Point(PEP) configurates policy through a policy distribution mechanism of the Policy Decision Point(PDP).For the large scale network management system,the policy distribution efficiency is the capability bottle neck point of the whole system.This paper presents an Adaptive Policy Increment Processor(APIP) model and realization scheme,which can automatically accomplish policy increment distribution based on the change of the PEP's policy.This technique can reduce the amount of transmitting policy data and enhance the distributing efficiency.

Analysis of factors related to military training injury and the effect of self-rescue and buddy rescue on the final result of the injury in tank crew of the armored forces

Abstract: Objective To analyze the factors related to military training injury and the effect of self-rescue and buddy rescue on the result of the injury in the soldiers.Methods All data were statistically classified with cluster sampling according to the diagnosis standard of Chinese PLA for analysis.Investigation was conducted in 1028 soldiers of the armored forces with questionnaire,and non-condition logistic regression analysis was applied.Results The total incidence of military training injury was 40.2%.Of all the injured soldiers,36.80% of them served for one year only,and the incidence of injury was obviously higher than those who had served in armed forces for 2 or 3 years.Unconditioned regression analysis revealed that the main causes related to military training injury in the soldiers were as follows: the items of training,the terrain feature,motion sickness,self-rescue and buddy rescue training,and whether the action consistent with the standards.The rehabilitation rate within one month was significantly higher in those who underwent self-rescue or buddy rescue(93.8% and 94.2%,respectively) than those who did not undergo self-rescue or buddy rescue(76.3%,76.7%,respectively,P < 0.001).Conclusions The incidence of military training injury in the armored forces is high.It should be emphysized that soldiers with one year of military service should be partioularly taken care to prevent from injuries.Many factors may influence the military training injury,and protective measures should be taken.Those who have the knowledge of self-rescue or undergo buddy rescue will have higher rehabilitation rate within one month.
Epidemiological survey of military training-related injuries in tank crew of the armored forces

Abstract: Objective To survey the characteristics and distribution of military training-related injuries in tank crew of the armored forces.Methods With cluster sampling method,self-designed questionnaire was used in an on-scene investigation among 1028 soldiers of the armored forces.All data were statistically classified according to the diagnostic standard of Chinese PLA for analysis.The ratio in different categories of the injuries was calculated.Results The total incidence of military training-related injuries was 40.2%.The rate of injuries was highest in spring(18.8%),followed by that in winter,and lowest in summer and autumn.Injuries occurred more frequently in lower limbs,waist and buttocks(53.3%),and injuries in shoulder,upper limbs and back accounted for 36.3%,that in head accounted for 3.6%,and the total incidence of injuries occurring in neck,chest and abdomen accounted for 6.8%.Bruise was the main kind of injury,and and it often happened during firing of gun and backfill training.Conclusions The incidence of military training-related injuries in tank crew is high.Appropriate precautions should be taken based on the survey results to decrease the incidence of training injury.
Fentanyl inhibits glucose-stimulated insulin release from β-cells in rat pancreatic islets

Abstract: AIM: To explore the effects of fentanyl on insulin release from freshly isolated rat pancreatic islets in static culture.METHODS: Islets were isolated from the pancreas of mature Sprague Dawley rats by common bile duct intraductal collagenase V digestion and were purified by discontinuous Ficoll density gradient centrifugation. The islets were divided into four groups according to the fentanyl concentration: control group (0 ng/mL), group I (0.3 ng/mL), group II (3.0 ng/mL), and group III (30 ng/mL). In each group, the islets were co-cultured for 48 h with drugs under static conditions with fentanyl alone, fentanyl + 0.1 μg/mL naloxone or fentanyl + 1.0 μg/mL naloxone. Cell viability was assessed by the MTT assay. Insulin release in response to low and high concentrations (2.8 mmol/L and 16.7 mmol/L, respectively) of glucose was investigated and electron microscopy morphological assessment was performed.RESULTS: Low- and high-glucose-stimulated insulin release in the control group was significantly higher than in groups II and III (62.33 ± 9.67 μIU vs 47.75 ± 8.47 μIU, 39.67 ± 6.18 μIU and 125.5 ± 22.04 μIU vs 96.17 ± 14.17 μIU, 75.17 ± 13.57 μIU, respectively, P < 0.01) and was lowest in group III (P < 0.01). After adding 1 μg/mL naloxone, insulin release in groups II and III was not different from the control group. Electron microscopy studies showed that the islets were damaged by 30 ng/mL fentanyl.CONCLUSION: Fentanyl inhibited glucose-stimulated insulin release from rat islets, which could be prevented by naloxone. Higher concentrations of fentanyl significantly damaged β-cells of rat islets.
Effects of optical fields on the tunneling time of chiral electrons in graphene

Abstract: The influences of optical fields on the tunneling time in graphene are investigated in real time using the finite-difference time-domain method. The tunneling time of electrons irradiated by an optical field is significantly different from that observed in traditional quantum tunneling. We found that when the barrier width increases, the group delay becomes constant for the reflected wave packet, but increases linearly for the transmitted wave packet. This peculiar tunneling effect can be attributed to current leakage in a time-dependent barrier generated via the optical Stark effect.

Abstract: The influences of intense coherent laser fields on the transport properties of a single layer graphene are investigated by using the finite-difference time-domain method. Under an intense laser field, the valence band and conduction band states mix via the optical Stark effect. The chiral symmetry of Dirac electrons is broken and the perfect chiral tunneling is strongly suppressed.
The momentum-resolved and time-resolved two-color optical coherence absorption spectrum in the scattering process

Abstract: The two-color optical coherence absorption spectrum (QUIC-AB) of GaAs quantum well in the presence of a charge current is investigated. We find that the QUIC-AB depends strongly not only on the amplitude of the electron current but also on the direction of the electron current. Thus, the amplitude and the angular distribution of scattering current in the scatter process can be detected directly in real time with the QUIC-AB. The phase shift of scattered waves and the details of the scattering potential can also be determined.
