Review of Dicrotendipes Kieffer from China (Diptera, Chironomidae)

Abstract: The genus Dicrotendipes Kieffer from China, including 8 species, is reviewed. Two new species, D. nudus sp.n. and D. saetanumerosus sp.n. are described and the male imagines are illustrated; the record of D. fusconotatus (Kieffer) is the first for China. A key to the males of Dicrotendipes in China is given.

Abstract: Circulating tumour cells (CTCs) are referred to the tumour cells that disseminated from the primary tumour and survive in circulating during the pro-ceeding of tumour growth. As surgical treatment evolves and local control has improved, the failure of cancer treatment has largely remained the re-sult of systemic metastasis. Selection of patients most likely to benefit from adjuvant strategies remains problematic. In order to develop a new standard of curative effect, this study was de-signed to track the number of CTCs in patients with lung cancer during chemotherapy. Methods: Samples of peripheral blood was taken from each lung cancer patients (n=32) on the day before chemotherapy as well as the third week after the chemotherapy cycle. The samples were subjected to real-time fluorescent quantitative reverse-tran- scriptase polymerase chain reaction (fqRT-PCR). Meanwhile the tumour size was determined by chest X-ray or computed tomograghy. Results Compared to that of pre-chemotherapy, the ex-pression level of cytokeratin (CK) 19 in the pa-tients significantly declined after chemotherapy (t=4.659,P=0.000). The level of CK19 mRNA in pa-tients with small cell lung cancer (SCLC) was higher than that of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) (t=1.944, P=0.061). The de-crease of CK19 mRNA level correlated well with the type during the treatment. Relatively the de-crease of SCLC is more obvious (t=6.073,P=0.000). The variation of CK19 mRNA level before and after chemotherapy was positively related to the dis-parity of tumour burden (r=0.593). There was also a significant association between the type (NSCLC vs. SCLC) and the change of tumour size (t=3.686, P=0.001).The positive rate before chemotherapy Supported by grant from the Natural Science Foundation in China (No.30972961). was 71.9% (23/32), while that after chemotherapy was 37.5% (12/32), indicating that 11 patients con- verted into negative after chemotherapy. Of the 16 patients which were in Ⅳ-stage, 11 cases were po- sitive (11/16,68.8%). Surprisingly, of the remaining 16 patients which were Ⅱ/Ⅲ stage, 12 cases were regarded as positive according to the criteria (12/6,75%). Conclusions: The real-time flu- ores-cent quantitative-PCR approach is useful for mea- suring the relative number of CTCs in a patients’ peripheral blood to monitor the effectiveness of treatment, and for designing more comprehensive and reasonable therapeutic regimes at earlier dates for patients. Abstract: The genetic diversity of the exon2 of BoLA-DRB3 (BoLA-DRB3.2) in Chinese Holstein cattle of the south China was investigated by hemi-nested polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) technique. Six, four and eleven RFLP patterns were found after digestion with the restriction enzymes Hae III, Bst YI and Rsa I, respectively. The DNA sequence showed and twenty- five DRB3.2 alleles. GLM model analysis indicated that lactation and calving season have positive correlation with SCC (Somatic Cell Count) (p<0.01), BoLA-DRB3.2*3, *8, *18 and *26 were associated with lower SCC (p<0.01). The present findings concluded that mastitis is a severe hinder of milk production and technology. Therefore, future re-searches should focus on associations of mastitis with BoLA haplotypes rather than single BoLA genes
Applying Title Category Semantic Recognition for Text Categorization

Abstract: This paper presents a new algorithm using title category semantic recognition for text categorization. The algorithm generates feature space based on its category, picks up category semantic words of the title to produce candidate category and finally classifies it under these candidate categories. The experimental results firmly prove that the new algorithm performs better with fewer candidates and higher precision. Further research introduces category space representation efficiency to verify the validity of the new algorithm and proves that it can achieve great improvement in text representation.

Abstract: A pot experiment with thirty soybean (Glycine max) genotypes differing in root architecture was conducted to investigate the effects of soil phosphorus (P) availability on the colonization of arbuscular mycorrhizae (AM) fungus (Glomus mosseae) as well as the relationships of the colonization with the root architecture and P efficiency of soybean. The results indicated that soil P availability had significant effects on the colonization of G. mosseae. Under low P condition, the AM had a higher infection rate and contributed more to the P uptake by soybean; while under high P condition, it was in adverse. There was a significant interaction between soybean genotypes and soil P availability on the colonization of G. mosseae. Under low P condition, the soybean genotypes with intermediate and deep root architectures had the highest infection rate of AM, but on the contrary, no significant correlation was observed between root architecture and AM colonization under high-P condition. In general, P-efficient soybean genotypes had better root architecture or higher AM colonization, indicating that a complementary relationship between root architecture and AM colonization was existed on their contribution to soybean P efficiency.

Abstract: In this article,a brand-new information retrieval model based on Agent technology is proposed,which is to counteract some significant deficiencies existing in current information retrieval systems,such as resource consuming much,information updating delayed and so on.The main idea of this model is to apply Agent technology into the information retrieval system in order to provide users a information retrieval model of new pattern,which could update on time,save resource through distributing the information retrieval task among clients,retrieval severs and information owners.And MWRA(Multi-weight Ranking Algorithm)is also proposed in this article to improve the ranking capability of the information retrieval system,which is based on several facts, including the inclination of users,the importance of information and the matching of query.In this article,we firstly introduced the agent-based information retrieval model.Then the multi-weight ranking algorithm,which included in the model,is analyzed.Finally,the performance of the model is discussed and the prototype system is tested through a series of examinations,the result of which addresses the Agent-based information retrieval model with MWRA is better in ranking and other capabilities.
Question Classification with Incremental Rule Learning Algorithm Based on Rough Set

Abstract: This paper presents a method on automatic question classification through incremental rule learning based on rough set theory. The core of the method is appling the machine learning approach to gain classified rules automatically through extract the features of query sentence thoroughly, and the decision table is used to construct the training collection. Comparing with the alternative means, the superiority is that it acquires the classified rule automatically and uses the rough set method to obtain the optimized smallest rule set. Especially, the incremental learning is induced to improve the precision and avoid the tedious re-training process. The performance of the approach is promising, when tested on opposite test. Meanwhile, the method obtains a very good result in the international TREC2005 Q/A track.

Abstract: Peer to Peer(P2P)computing technology provides the basic operation facility for collaborations among nodes of open and dynamic network(esp.Internet)and complicated distributed business processing.However,it is difficult to accomplish such works successfully because of some inherent facts of P2P environment,such as peers could randomly join in or quit the P2P network,which make it hard to choose appropriate task undertakers before the project is constructed.In this paper,a flexible and dynamic collaboration alliance mechanism of P2P based on mobile multi-agent technology is proposed.The collaboration alliance mechanism can be deployed in complex and changeful environments to overcome the difficult problem of peers' collaboration,which is working as the following ways:driven by one demand,the leader peer constructs the project;after the work undertakers are all selected,the temporary and optimized collaboration alliance is formed;according to the workflow,the leader peer and other work peers collaborate to accomplish the tasks of the project based on their commitments.The mechanism is also utilized to build the agile Supply Chain Management(SCM)system to verify its practical value.
