Abstract: 历史记载,考古证据及古气候研究一致表明在公元前第3千纪初,即3000 BC以后,在两河流域有一个洪水时期.大洪水的历史记载最早见于<旧约圣经>,19世纪考古发现亚述泥版及苏美尔泥版中也有大洪水的记载.古气候代用资料也支持公元前第3千纪初两河流域发生过洪水的结论.

Abstract: 综合评述和分析了近年来关于全球气候变暖问题的研究,重点是有关气候变暖的一些争议,目前的结论是:(1)19世纪中期以来全球平均地表气温上升了0.4-0.8℃;(2)全球气候变暖的论断得到了海洋温度、大气温度、钻孔温度、陆地雪盖、海冰及冰川资料的支持;(3)1998年是近一个半世纪有观测资料以来最暖的一年,对1961-1990年平均的距平为0.55℃。20世纪变暖的趋势为0.066℃/10a;(4)1990′s是20世纪最暖的10年,平均气温距平0.35℃,也可能是500a或甚至1000a来最暖的10年,所以,20世纪气候的变暖是无可怀疑的,人类活动影响很可能是20世纪气候变暖的主要原因,至少是主要原因之一。
Flooding 1990s along the Yangtze River, has it concern of global warming?

Abstract: There were a series of severe floods along the middle to lower reaches of the Yangtze River (Changjiang River) in China during the 1990s. The extensive summer (June, July and August) precipitation is mostly responsible for the flooding. The summer rainfall in the 1980s and the 1990s is much higher than that in the previous 3 decades. The means for 1990-1999 is +87.62 mm above normal, marked the 1990s the wettest decade since the 1950s. Six stations with a time span of 1880-1999 are selected to establish century -long rainfall series. This series also shows that the 1990s is the wettest decade during the last 120 years. In the wettest 12 years, four occurred in the 1990s (1991,1996,1998 and 1999). Both global and China’s temperature show there is a relative lower air temperature during the 1960-1970s, and a rapid warming in the 1980-1990s. Comparisons of rainfall between 1960-1979 and 1980-1999 show there are dramatic changes. In the cold period 1960-1979, the summer rainfall along the Yangtze River is 3.8 % to 4.7 % below the normal, during the warm period 1980-1999, over 8.4 % to 18.2 % of summer rainfall occurs. Over the whole eastern China, the summer rainfall shows opposite spatial patterns from the 1960-1970s to 1980-1990s. The consistent trend toward more rainfall with global warming is also presented by the greenhouse scenario modeling. A millennial Drought/flood Index for the middle to lower reaches of the Yangtze River showed that although the surplus summer rainfall in the 1990s is the severest during the past 150 years, it is not outstanding in the context of past millennium. Power spectra of the Drought/flood Index show significant interdecadal periods at 33.3 and 11.8 years. Thus, both the natural inter-decadal variations and the global warming may play important roles in the frequent floods witnessed during the last two decades.
HIF-1α Contributes to Hypoxia-induced Invasion and Metastasis of Esophageal Carcinoma via Inhibiting E-cadherin and Promoting MMP-2 Expression

Abstract: Hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) has been found to enhance tumor invasion and metastasis, but no study has reported its action in esophageal carcinoma. The goal of this study was to explore the probable mechanism of HIF-1α in the invasion and metastasis of esophageal carcinoma Eca109 cells in vitro and in vivo. mRNA and protein expression of HIF-1α, E-cadherin and matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) under hypoxia were detected by RT-PCR and Western blotting. The effects of silencing HIF-1α on E-cadherin, MMP-2 mRNA and protein expression under hypoxia or normoxia were detected by RT-PCR and Western blotting, respectively. The invasive ability of Eca109 cells was tested using a transwell chambers. We established an Eca109-implanted tumor model and observed tumor growth and lymph node metastasis. The expression of HIF-1α, E-cadherin and MMP-2 in xenograft tumors was detected by Western blotting. After exposure to hypoxia, HIF-1α protein was up-regulated, both mRNA and protein levels of E-cadherin were down-regulated and MMP-2 was up-regulated, while HIF-1α mRNA showed no significant change. SiRNA could block HIF-1α effectively, increase E-cadherin expression and inhibit MMP-2 expression. The number of invading cells decreased after HIF-1α was silenced. Meanwhile, the tumor volume was much smaller, and the metastatic rate of lymph nodes and the positive rate were lower in vivo. Our observations suggest that HIF-1α inhibition might be an effective strategy to weaken invasion and metastasis in the esophageal carcinoma Eca109 cell line.
Differential Evolution for Nonlinear Constrained Optimization Using Non-stationary Multi-stage Assignment Penalty Function

Abstract: Using non-stationary multi-stage assignment penalty function to deal with the constrained conditions,a modified differential evolution(MDE) for nonlinear constrained optimization is proposed.In order to improve global convergence and convergence speed of the algorithm,two different mutation scheme of DE were combined,and simulation anneal tactics was adapted,which ensure the algorithm has good global exploring ability at the beginning stage and good local exploring ability at the last stage.Several classic Benchmarks functions were tested,the experiment results show that the MDE has powerful global exploring ability,good robustness,high precision,and fast convergence speed.So it is an effective way for nonlinear constrained optimization problems.
Research and application of pseudo parallel differential evolution algorithm with dual subpopulations

Abstract: To improve the global searching ability and convergence speed of differential evolution algorithm(DE),a pseudo parallel differential evolution algorithm with dual subpopulations(DSPPDE)is proposed in this paper.Combining with the properties of good local searching ability and fast convergence speed of DE/best/2/bin mutation scheme and the properties of good global searching ability and robustness of DE/rand/1/bin mutation scheme,the algorithm employs the ideal of isolated evolution and information exchanging in parallel DE algorithm by serial program structure.To diversify the initial individuals in the search space and improve the robustness of convergence to the global optimum,an initialization tactic based on the mean entropy is proposed.The tests of several classic Benchmarks functions and the parameters estimation result of a nonlinear system model show that the proposed algorithm can improve the convergence speed and the global searching ability greatly.
Neural network control for nonlinear chaotic motion

Abstract: A novel method for chaotic control with feed forward backpropagating neural network is presented. Combined input output data obtained from the perturbation parameter model with nonlinear learning algorithm, neural networks are trained to generate the small disturbance control, then to suppress chaotic behaviour, the unstable periodic orbit embedded in the chaotic attractor is drived and directed to a stable fixed point. The numerical simulations on Henon map demonstrate that rapid response and higher accuracy of the nonlinear chaotic system can be obtained based on the proposed control scheme.

Abstract: 在以三个电偶极跃迁构成简并N型四能级系统中,利用密度矩阵方程计算了介质对探测场的吸收,研究了激光场拉比相位对吸收的影响.结果表明:介质对探测场的吸收和放大取决于控制场和信号场的拉比相位,且吸收和放大随控制场、信号场的拉比相位改变而作周期性变化,周期为2π;而探测场的拉比相位变化对吸收没有影响.同时,控制场、信号场拉比相位对吸收的影响是相同的,而且拉比相位主要影响原子相干,对原子布居影响不大.
