Scaling Transformation for Nonlocal Interactions  [PDF]

Abstract: In the light of their relationships with renormalization, in this paper we associate the scaling transformation with nonlocal interactions. On one hand, the association leads us to interpret the nonlocality with locally symmetric method. On the other hand, we find that the nonlocal interaction between hadrons could be test ground for scaling transformation if ascribing the running effects in renormalization to scaling transformation. The nonlocal interaction Lagrangian turns out to vary under scaling transformation, analogous to running cases in renormalization. And the total Lagrangian becomes scale invariant only under some extreme conditions. The conservation law of this extreme Lagrangian is discussed and a contribution named scalum appears to the spin angular momentum. Finally a mechanism is designed to test the scaling effect on nonlocal interaction.
Striped-magnetic-order suppresses giant optical anisotropy and drives structural distortion in iron arsenide superconductors

Abstract: To examine the role of magnetism in superconductivity of iron-based superconductors, we first present first-principles optical calculations on three representative parent compounds: LaFeAsO, BaFe2As2 and LiFeAs. Both nonmagnetic (NM) and spin-density wave (SDW) with striped antiferromagnetic order are considered. Due to their layer structure, these compounds in NM states show anomalously large optical anisotropy with a conductivity ratio $\sigma_{zz}/\sigma{xx}$ as large as 313% in LaFeAsO and 530% in LiFeAs. Interestingly the giant optical anisotropy is significantly suppressed by SDW. On the other hand, the variable-cell-shape optimizations confirm that SDW does drive an orthorhombic-distortion. The drive force is dependent on the local magnetic moment on Fe sublattice, which is tuned by its bonding environment. Based on these results, we discussed the delicate role of magnetism in superconductivity.
Layered compounds AFBiS2: superior birefringent crystals

Abstract: Stimulated by the discovery of the giant birefringence (GBF) in LaOBiS2 (H. Wang, arxiv: 1304.5032), we check SrFBiS2 and find a superior birefringence up to 1.28. Naturally, AF layer (i.e., SrF) is considered to be of important and is demonstrated by the further study on AFBiS2 (A=Mg, Ca, Ba). Interestingly, MgFBiS2 shows the largest birefringence of 1.65. Furthermore, the origin of GBF is discussed in detail.
Giant birefringence in layered compound LaOBiS2

Abstract: Birefringent crystals (BFC) have been extensively used in imaging spectrometer, laser devices, and optical components. Seeking new BFC is of important for both fundamental research and industrial application. Employed first-principles density functional theory (DFT), we found that LaOBiS2 (space group P4/nmm), the parent phase of recently discovered BiS2-superconductor, exhibits superior birefringence with a maximum value of 2.94, which is 13.4 times larger than the extensively used YVO4 (0.22). Furthermore, LaOBiS2 is an indirect semiconductor with a band-gap of 0.9 eV, which is suitable for optical applications. The origin of giant inherent birefringence is discussed.
How to Protect the Employees’Benefits in the SOE Auction in China

Abstract: In the SOE auction in China, there are many conflicting factors the government has to care about, such as maximizing the auction revenue and minimizing the induced unemployment. This paper constructs the first-price bidding with employment constraint to take both criteria into account. In this auction mechanism, besides price competition, the winner is required to accommodate a certain quantity of original SOE employees in the new enterprise. It shows that if the government can introduce more strategic investors with considerable heterogeneity to participate in the bidding, appear strong in minimizing the unemployment, and set an explicit compensation standard for the induced lay-offs to eliminate the investors’ accommodating cost dispersion, it will balance the dual-objective more effectively.

Abstract: In the Windows XP 64 bit operating system environment, several common PC were used to build a cluster system, establishing the distributed memory parallel (DMP) computing system. A finite element model of whole aircraft with about 260 million degrees of freedom (DOF) was developed using three-node and four-node thin shell element and two-node beam element. With the large commercial finite element software MSC.MARC and employing two kinds of domain decomposition method (DDM) respectively, realized the parallel solving for the static strength analysis of the whole aircraft model, which offered a high cost-effective solution for solving large-scale and complex finite element models.
The Water Problem and Its Solution in Gansu, China  [PDF]

Based on such severe situation, we need to work out a way that enables us to analyze the current and future ability of a region to provide clean water to meet the needs of its population, and to develop a reasonable strategy to optimize the utilization of water resources in this area. This paper has worked out a resolution model and input the data of China, the United States, Russia, Laos and Afghanistan to do national testing. Then, we use the policy from “diaper incident” to do policy testing. The calculation results of the model are in conformity with the reality. Therefore, the model is effective. At last this model is used to resolve Gansu’s water problem and provide effective advices for the local government.

Abstract: The title compound, C21H23N3O, exists in an enamine–keto form with the amino group involved in an intramolecular N—H...O hydrogen bond. The dihedral angle between the phenyl rings is 73.59 (6)°. The five-membered ring is nearly planar, the largest deviation being 0.0004 (7) , and makes dihedral angles of 4.81 (6) and 69.81 (5)° wth the phenyl rings. In the crystal, pairs of weak C—H...O interactions link the molecules into centrosymmetric dimers.

Abstract: The complete molecule of the title compound of the title compound, C32H28N6O4, is generated by crystallographic inversion symmetry. The dihedral angles between the pyrazalone ring and the pendant phenyl and furan rings are 15.65 (8) and 65.06 (8)°, respectively. In the crystal, the molecules are linked by N—H...O, C—H...O and weak C—H...π interactions.
Anti-inflammatory and osteogenesis of complex particles composed of ceric oxide and bioglass on repair of rabbit femoral defects

Abstract: Objective To observe the anti-inflammatory and osteogenesis of the complex particles composed of ceric oxide and bioglass implanted into rabbit femoral defects.Methods The bilateral penetrating femoral condylar defects of 6mm in diameter were made in 6 adult New Zealand White rabbits,bioglass particles and complex particles composed of ceric oxide and bioglass were randomly implanted into the left or right condylar defect.Animals were sacrificed at 2 and 4 weeks after operation(3 each),specimens from defect sites were harvested for histological examination to observe the inflammatory reaction and calculate the ratio of new bone and grafts on the defect area.Results No inflammatory reaction was found in the defect area filled with bioglass particles or complex particles composed of ceric oxide and bioglass.New bone was observed in the defects 2 weeks after operation,and no significant difference on the bone formation rate existed between the two materials(P > 0.05).The osteogenesis of both materials was more obvious in the 4th week than in the 2nd week(P < 0.05 or 0.01),but the formation rate was similar by the two materials(P > 0.05).No obvious degradation of the grafts implanted into the defect area occurred in the 4th week compared with that in the 2nd week(P > 0.05).Conclusion The complex particles composed of ceric oxide and bioglass has anti-inflammatory activity and similar osteogenesis to normal bioglass particles,and may be used in the repair of bone defects.
