Abstract: 汇集西北6省区近300个气象站点的多年气象数据,400多个县市的土地利用和社会经济统计数据,提取降水、气温、湿度、土地利用类型、人口、GDP、矿产资源、产业结构(三次产业)等要素,设计了水热状况、人类活动强度、工业化程度、城镇化程度等指标,借助GIS工具,通过要素指标的空间分异特征研究,构筑指标体系,进行了以县域尺度为最小空间单元的生态经济区划研究。根据西北地区县域尺度上的生态环境状况和人类活动状况,将西北划分为3级27个生态经济区。

Abstract: Intra-prediction coding and mode decision based on Rate-Distortion Optimization (RDO) technique were used in the H.264,which raised the compression ratio,but increase the computing complexity as well. Intra-prediction coding includes Intra_4×4 and Intra_16×16 prediction mode. Based on the analysis of the features of Intra_4×4 and Intra_16×16,a threshold was proposed to save computation. Then, the algorithms for intra-prediction mode decision was modified. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can increase the speed of intra coding significantly with negligible loss of PNSR and increase of bite-rate.

Abstract: For the relative stable water front, there exist abundant water front resources along the lower and middle reaches of the trunk stream of Yangtze River. But historical experience and lessons tell us the importance to harness rivers and protect their water fronts in the process of exploiting them. This paper analyzes pattern changes of the water front along the lower and middle reaches of the trunk stream of the Yangtze River course since down Chenglingji, it is branched which is advantageous to use the water front resources. On Jinjiang section or on the river mouth, the water front needs harnessing and protecting for flexuous course and siltation. Meanwhile, it also analyzes the problems in the exploitation of water front in Jiangsu Province where more exploitation but less protection has been practiced. The paper puts forward the basic idea that exploitation of river water front, a kind of important resource, should be done under the prerequisite of protection and harnessing. It is very important to work out rational principles concerning water front utilization and resources evaluation. In order to sufficiently exploit the potentiality of the water front resources, protection and exploitation should be fully taken into account for the sake of gaining both socio economic and ecological benefits. River channel regulation should be done energetically and administrative system should be adjusted.
Design and Application of a Novel CB-CPW Structure

Abstract: On the base of conductor-backed coplanar waveguide (CBCPW) structure, a novel CB-CPW structure is proposed and analyzed, which is realized by using the UC-PBG structure to replace the back conductor of CB-CPW. From 1.3 GHz to 2.8 GHz, The transmission characteristic of the proposed CB-CPW is better than that of CBCPW, and is similar to that of CPW, therefore, this novel CB-CPW not only owns the advantage of CB-CPW, such as good mechanical strength and good heat yield, but also owns the advantage of CPW, such as good transmission characteristic. At last, a dual-band antenna based on this novel CB-CPW is designed and computed, the numerical results validate that this novel CB-CPW is feasible in microwave application.
Microalbuminuria in relation to the metabolic syndrome and its components in a Chinese population

Abstract: The study subjects were recruited from a newly established residential area in the suburb of Shanghai. We measured anthropometry, blood pressure (BP), fasting plasma glucose, and serum lipids, and collected spot urine samples for the determination of albumin-creatinine ratio. We defined microalbuminuria as a urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio of 30 to 299 mg/g. The metabolic syndrome was defined according to the International Diabetes Federation criteria.The 1079 participants included 410 (38.0%) hypertensive patients, and 66 (6.1%) diabetic patients. The prevalence of microalbuminuria (4.3%) was 3.2 times higher in 167 patients with the metabolic syndrome than 912 subjects without the metabolic syndrome (12.0% vs. 2.9%, P < 0.0001). In multiple regression adjusted for sex, age, body mass index, current smoking, alcohol intake and the use of antihypertensive drugs, and mutually adjusted for the components, microalbuminuria was significantly associated with diastolic BP (odds ratio 1.74 for +10 mmHg; 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.10-2.76; P = 0.02) and fasting plasma glucose (1.18; 95% CI 1.01-1.41; P = 0.04), but not with waist circumference, systolic BP, or serum HDL cholesterol and triglycerides (P > 0.10).Microalbuminuria is common in the Chinese population, and much more prevalent in the presence of the metabolic syndrome, mainly attributable to elevated diastolic BP and plasma glucose.Micoralbuminuria is an early marker of chronic kidney disease (CKD) [1] and vascular dysfunction [2], and is associated with a higher risk of renal function loss [1], cardiovascular events [1,3], and all-cause mortality [3]. Abstract: The oxo-diperoxo molybdenum(VI) complex MoO(O2)2?2QOH (QOH = 8-quinilinol) was prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and UV-Vis spectra. The ionic liquids (ILs) [bmim][BF4], [hydemim][BF4], and [bmim][PF6] were characterized by 1H-NMR and UV-Vis spectra. The epoxidation of a technical mixture of methyl oleate and methyl linoleate with H2O2, in [bmim][BF4], [hydemim][BF4] and [bmim][PF6], catalyzed by MoO(O2)2?2QOH (QOH = 8-quinilinol) and with NaHCO3 as co-catalyst has been studied for the first time. It was found that high conversions of methyl oleate and methyl linoleate to their respective oxidation products, as well as the total selectivity of their oxidation products to oxirane in [hydemim][BF4] were obtained. Also, the IL phases containing the Mo(VI) catalyst can be readily recycled by washing with diethyl ether and drying, and the Mo(VI) catalyst can be reused at least five times.
A previously uncharacterized gene stm0551 plays a repressive role in the regulation of type 1 fimbriae in Salmonella enterica serotype Typhimurium

Abstract: A stm0551-deleted stain constructed by allelic exchange constitutively produced type 1 fimbriae in both static-broth and solid-agar medium conditions. Quantative RT-PCR revealed that expression of the fimbrial major subunit gene, fimA, and one of the regulatory genes, fimZ, were comparably increased in the stm0551-deleted strain compared with those of the parental strain when grown on the solid-agar medium, a condition that normally inhibits expression of type 1 fimbriae. Following transformation with a plasmid possessing the coding sequence of stm0551, expression of fimA and fimZ decreased in the stm0551 mutant strain in both culture conditions, whereas transformation with the control vector pACYC184 relieved this repression. A purified STM0551 protein exhibited a phosphodiesterase activity in vitro while a point mutation in the putative EAL domain, substituting glutamic acid (E) with alanine (A), of STM0551 or a FimY protein abolished this activity.The finding that the stm0551 gene plays a negative regulatory role in the regulation of type 1 fimbriae in S. Typhimurium has not been reported previously. The possibility that degradation of c-di-GMP is a key step in the regulation of type 1 fimbriae warrants further investigation.
A Study on the Spatial Process for the Evolution of Urban Agglomerations and Optimal Land Use

Abstract: The evolution of urban agglomerations includes many contents, such as population, industry, type of cities, function of cities and so on. The most comprehensive and direct expression that urban agglomerations evolve is spatial process. Urban agglomerations can be divided into three layers, namely, primacy urban belt, growth belt of urban group, and hinterland belt of urban agglomerations. The evolution of the structure follows the laws of urban growth and regional economic development. The spatial dispersion of urbanization is the beginning of spatial spreading about urban agglomerations. The spreading of urban agglomerations has four phrases, namely, the expanding phrase of multi-central cities, the directional sprawl phrase of urban space, the centripetal and centrifugal phrase between cities, and the complex expanding phrase in urban agglomerations. Concentration of industries and evolvement of industrial structures are immediacy powers of spatial expansion of urban agglomeration. There has a close connection between urban development and land exploiture. Economic development brings about land exploiture, suburbanization and the growth of urban agglomerations promote land exploiture, and construction of developing region brings land exploiture. At the same time, urban spatial growth promotes land increment. This paper analyzes the spatial process for the evolution of urban agglomerations, studies its dynamic mechanism, and describes its basic features and regulars from the structure of urban agglomerations, space of urban agglomerations and land-use of cities. At last, the paper reveals the connections between the evolution of urban agglomerations and the changes of land use as well as its development trends. That are growth axis and expanding diversity (including type, speed and direction).

Abstract: European Spatial Planning is the earliest trans |national spatial planning in the world.Its specific spatial planning ideas,trans |national spatial planning practices,and new methodology and institutions have influenced spatial planning in the world.Along with the globalization and the expanding of the European Union(EU),regional inequality is becoming more and more serious in EU.In order to solve this problem and promote social and economic cohesion,sound management of the natural and cultural heritage,and more balanced competitiveness of the European territory,since the 1980s,the EU has launched several spatial planning programs,such as classification of Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics(NUTS),European Spatial Development Perspective(ESDP),and Study Program on European Spatial Planning(SPESP).These spatial planning programs have achieved a series of achievements.Some new spatial ideas,such as urban-rural partnership,functional urban area,etc.and criteria for spatial differentiation have been studied and proposed in European spatial planning programs.Besides,policy implications have the same importance as the program itself.The set up of European regional development fund(ERDF),European social fund(ESF) and Cohesion fund or Structural fund,and European spatial planning observation network(ESPON) play a very important roles in the implementation of European spatial planning.Based on summarizing the contents,research achievements and policies of European spatial planning,the paper ended with the authors' personal constructive suggestions to improve current Chinese spatial planning.
