Abstract: Der folgende Beitrag verfolgt das Anliegen, die Bildungsstandards auf ihrekonzeptionelle und instrumentelle Eignung für das Ziel der Verbesserungder schulischen Erziehung durch Outputsteuerung‘ kritisch zu überprüfen.Die Argumentation greift dabei vor allem konzeptionell-begriffliche undwissenschaftstheoretische Aspekte auf. Dabei zeigt sich eine fehlendeEinbindung in den internationalen Diskurs der P dagogik und zum l ngstgesicherten metatheoretischen Fundament des Falsifikationismus.The paper discusses critically the introduction of standards in education.These are aiming at redirecting control of educational processes to outputvariables. By taking up arguments of concept and naming, and likewise oftheory of science, both conceptual and instrumental qualities of standardsshall be investigated. It will be demonstrated that there is a disconnectionto earlier scientific outcomes in international educational science, and toepistemological standards of falsification.

Abstract: Obwohl sich der Diskurs über den Umgang mit Heterogenit t und Diversit t in den letzten Jahren intensiviert hat, ist das Thema wirtschaftsdidaktisch unterbelichtet“. Im Beitrag werden – ohne einen Anspruch auf Vollst ndigkeit – einige grunds tzliche überlegungen über den Umgang mit Heterogenit t und Diversit t angesprochen. Hervorgehoben wird, dass in der Diskussion die je spezifische und komplexe Bedürfnislage des Einzelnen ins Zentrum gerückt wird, also subjektbezogene Differenzkategorien im Mittelpunkt stehen. Welche Herausforderungen sich angesichts objektbezogener Differenzkategorien ergeben, wird nur gelegentlich angesprochen.Angesicht der heterogenen Weltbilder, Paradigma und Bezugsdisziplinen für und in einer sozialwissenschaftlichen Bildungslandschaft mit ihrer Vielzahl an fachdidaktischen Konzepten und den damit verbundendidaktischen Handlungsfeldern (Curricula, Bildungsstandards, Lehr-Lern-Methoden, Materialien, Lehr-Lern-Umgebungen etc.) stellen sich ein ganzes Bündel von Fragen, die in diesem Beitrag aufgelistet und partiell in diesem Heft er rtert werden.

Abstract: The purpose of this article is to remind of the past and present problems of creating single wire electrical systems. This article presents a new one wire electrical transmission system named B-Line which uses one line only and does not use ground as a second line. The proposed method is to work on all frequencies and on all communication systems including DC systems. It also proposes to work on the concept of the single-pole signal source and single-pole signal load. It illustrates the possibility of cutting the cost of electrical lines and several other advantages in the fields of high frequency communication lines and antennas.

Abstract: The main goal of this article is to compare traditional three phase system with one wire three-phase system. There are several obvious advantages of one wire system, for example cost, reliability and other. But there is a problem as well, connected to reactive power in both systems. This article proposes explanation of reactive power emergence in systems SWER, three-phase and in their one wire versions.

Abstract: A Living Man from Africa will be the first book to be published in a potentially exciting new Yale University Press series entitled 'New Directions in Narrative History'. The series editors are John Demos of Yale and Aaron Sachs of Cornell, both of whom have published prize-winning books that appeal to both popular and academic audiences. Levine employs the opening line from the Preface of Demos's The Unredeemed Captive - 'MOST OF ALL, I wanted to write a story' - as key inspiration for his own narrative choices. 'Most of all, I wanted to tel lhis [Jan Tzatzoe's] story,' Levine asserts. It is a self-reflexive focus on ways of story-telling as a way of returning history to its literary roots that is the foremost contribution of Levine's book. The book is also important as an unusually detailed and extended biography of the career of an African translator whom Levine casts as an intellectual. It thus fits within an exciting new scholarship that explores the complex processes of cross-cultural knowledge production across frontier zones in southern Africa and beyond.

Abstract: Protestantism and World War II. The Dutch case and the French case This paper on the Protestant churches of France and the Netherlands during the Second World War is the preliminary result of a research project on religion in Europe in the 1940s. The project is part of a larger European Science Foundation programme on The Impact of National Socialist and Fascist Occupations in Europe (INSFO). Three main themes are discussed. The first looks at the institutional relations between the Churches and the new regimes in 1940: the Nazi regime in occupied Holland and the government of Vichy France. The second covers the confrontation between theology and the National Socialist ideology, looking at the influence of the radical theology of Karl Barth on the younger generation of ministers in both countries in particular. The third theme explores the types of resistance that resulted from Protestant ideologies, such as the duty to help refugees based on historical arguments. In this respect, special attention is given to Lutheranism in the Alsace under the German Reich, and to the effect of a particularly pious brand of Dutch Calvinism on its followers’ attitudes to resistance and suffering.
