Abstract: L’ARN interférence est un mécanisme hautement conservé entre espèces et permet d’éteindre l’expression d’un gène de manière séquence spécifique en utilisant un ARN double brin. Le r le naturel du silencing par ARN semble être la régulation fine des gènes mais aussi dans la défense contre les éléments transposables et les virus. La découverte du mécanisme d’interférence par l’ARN représente un saut majeur dans la recherche des gènes cibles dans différentes maladies. Deux classes des petites molécules d’ARN ont été trouvées comme étant des régulateurs séquence spécifique posttranscriptionnelle : les siRNA et les microRNA (miRNA). Les siRNA sont produits à partir d’un double brin d’ARN qui est synthétisé in vitro ou in vivo à partir des virus ou des séquences répétitives introduites par ingénierie génétique. Plusieurs miRNA endogènes sont programmés pour la régulation de l’expression des gènes et ainsi participent à la croissance et le développement de l’organisme. Abstract: The pAO1 megaplasmid of Arthrobacter nicotinovorans encodes two different pathways: one for nicotine metabolism and an putative sugar catabolic pathway. Using computational methods, the preferences for sugar of an oxidoreductase from the megaplasmid was addressed. The experimental and modeling data showed that the enzyme is tetrameric, has an ligand binding place close to the EKP conserved sequence and might prefer as substrate ketohexoses.

Abstract: We have accomplished a partial purification of a alpha amylase from germinated seeds of Robinia pseudacacia L. by affinity precipitation. The key element is the sodium alginate, a polymer that proved affinity for this enzyme, and also has the propriety to reversibly precipitate with Ca2+. The enzyme binds to the alginate and the complex is precipitated with Ca2+. The amylase activity is recovered by dissolving the precipitate in 1M maltose and precipitating the alginate alone by addition of Ca2+. The enzyme has a molecular weight estimated between 50 and 65 kDa, an optimum pH between 5 and 6; it is inhibited by ammonium sulfate and activated by CaCl2.

Abstract: The pAO1 megaplasmid of Arthrobacter nicotinovorans encodes two different pathways: one for nicotine metabolism and a putative sugar catabolic pathway. An open reading frame, orf39, from the latter pathway was cloned, purified to homogenity and partially characterized. It consists of a monomeric NAD/NADP-dehidrogenase acting on various aldehyde as glutaraldehyde or butyraldehyde with an Cys residue in the active site. A possible catalytic mechanism is postulated.

Abstract: The active substance of Gramoxone herbicide is interacting with plant’s photosynthetic systems, playing the role of final acceptor of the photosynthetic electrons. Except this known mode of action, it has been also observed the inhibitory action on the protoporphyrinogen oxidase – essential enzyme for chlorophylls biosynthesis, and also the decrease of photosynthetic pigment’s concentration in some spontaneous plants. Based on these prerequisites, the present study demonstrates the decrease of the photosynthetic pigment’s content in Zea mays in the presence of Gramoxone.

Abstract: La sénescence cellulaire est un état d’arrêt irréversible ou réversible de la croissance des cellules somatiques. Cet arrêt peut être induit par différents stimuli exogènes (radiations UV, drogues chimiothérapeutiques) ou endogènes (activation des oncogènes Ras, Raf, stress oxydatif). En fonction des stimuli qui la déclenche, la sénescence peut être réplicative (après un certain nombre de divisions cellulaires) ou accélérée (induite par des lésions sur ADN, activation des oncogènes). Elle représente un programme de protection contre toute capacité de prolifération illimitée et est donc un mécanisme suppresseur des tumeurs, en inhibant la prolifération des cellules qui ont des lésions sur l’ADN.
The influence of treatment with some purinic derivates on enzyme activity at Nicotiana tabacum L. plantlets

Abstract: This paper present the influence of length treatment with two purinic derivates, on the three antioxidant enzyme activity: catalase(EC 1.11.1.6), peroxidase(EC 1.11.1.7) and superoxide dismutase(EC 1.15.1.1) in Nicotiana tabacum L plantlets. The substances using for this treatment was 1,3,7 – trimetilxanthine (teine, caffeine) and 1,3 – dimetilxanthine (theophylline), both with purinic nucleus in their structure. The treatment was applied twenty one days. In this period the plantlets was treated with these substances in following concentrations: 0.025%, 0.05%, 0.1% and 0.25%. In the same time was constituted and a control probe with plantlets treated only with distilled water. The treatment have determined the intensification of peroxidase and catalase activity and decrease of superoxide dismutase activity.
ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD INFLUENCE ON SOME ANTIOXIDANT ENZYMES FROM RAT BLOOD SERUM

Abstract: Wistar rats were treated 6, 13 and 20 days with two type electromagnetic field (EMF): 50Hz and 100Hz, 30 minute daily. It was determined superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase activities in rat blood serum treated with EMF. Confronted by control lot, in both 50Hz and 100Hz EMF treated animals the superoxide dismutase activity is increasing after 6 and 13 day of treatment. At 20 days it was recorded a superoxide dismutase activity inhibition, greater than the 100Hz EMF treatment. The blood serum glutathione peroxidase activity was stimulated by 50Hz EMF after 6 days and also by 50Hz and 100Hz EMF after 13 day of treatment. The 20 days treatment (long duration) was determined an insignificant inhibition of glutathione peroxidase.
