Abstract: Intestinal parasites represent a serious public health problem, in both rural and urban areas, affecting mainly pediatric population. As described above, an analytical study of prevalence was conducted to determine the frequency of intestinal parasites, nutritional status and associated risk factors in preschool ¨Jacinto Lara¨. The sample was not random, conformed by 191 preschool children. It was used interview as data collection instrument,determining frequency of epidemiological factors, anthropometric parameters were obtained to determine nutritional status and it was performed an analysis of stool samples through direct techniques of saline physiological and Lugol′s solution, concentrates Kato, Quensel and Graham method. It was found 41,4% of preschool children infected by intestinal parasites, predominating age was 6 years 46,9%, prevailed males 48.9%.Main protozoa found were Blastocystis hominis 53, 1%, Giardia lamblia 29, 1% and helminthes Enterobius vermicularis 17, 7% and Ascaris lumbricoides 5%. Predominance of symptoms such as expulsion of parasites 55% and paleness 51, 5%. Nutritional status of preschool children infected by intestinal parasites was normal 42,4%, the epidemiological factor where prevailed parasites was inadequate disposal of excreta 57,1% and the absence of antiparasitic treatment in the last 6 months 47,3%. In conclusion the study found nosigni cant association between the risk factors studied and the frequency of intestinal parasites, nevertheless, the high frequency of preschool children infected by intestinal parasites compromise to analyze other epidemiological elements in future researches.

Abstract: El presente trabajo intenta dar una visión global del desarrollo del curso “El sistema escolar, la universidad y la producción y reproducción cultural: Pedagogías Críticas”, en el contexto de diplomado “ Introducción a la Pedagogía para la Educación Superior”, implementado por el Instituto de Educación y Pedagogía de la Universidad del Valle, establecido como la contribución a la construcción de una cultura de la investigación, formación y reflexión académica en torno a la articulación entre disciplinas diversas y la educación, las pedagogías y las didácticas para la optimización de la relación pedagógica. This article seeks to give a global vision of the course development entitled “School system, University and Cultural production and reproduction: Critical Pedagogies” in the context of the course “Introduction to A Superior Education Pedagogy”. This course is offered by Instituto de Educación y Pedagogía de la Universidad del Valle as a contribution to the construction of a research culture in academic reflexive training on the articulation among diverse disciplines and education, pedagogies and didactics fields towards the optimization of the pedagogic relationship.

Abstract: the main aim of this exploratory-descriptive research was to complete the space evaluation of an innovative educative space (design project units: dpu) in the architecture major in the university of táchira. the specific research objectives were: verify the premises of unet ’s architectural project, regarding the design of the dpu, describe the spatial behaviour of the main users in two types of building distribution of the dpu and explore how the physical space is related to teacher training in the projects course. the qualitative approach was used, within the framework of bernstein ’s (1973) pedagogical transmission theory and peatross and peponis’ interpretations (1995). according to bernstein, education space is a medium for social control. the knowledge code in education, understood as the principles that underlie the curriculum, pedagogy and evaluation, can take one of two shapes: integration and collection. the results show that the spatial distribution of the workshop not only reflected the pedagogical principles, but it also generated its own pedagogical efects.

Abstract: El presente artículo muestra los resultados más importantes de un trabajo exploratorio de las variables de incidencia en la pobreza, realizados para el área Metropolitana de Santiago de Cali. La investigación toma como punto de partida la clasificación apriorística de los hogares con base en criterios carenciales y prosigue con la utilización de metodologías alternativas de clasificación, mediante dos tipos de discriminadores: lineal y logístico. A partir de estos ejercicios se pudieron detectar diferencias sustanciales en los perfiles de bienestar de los hogares, de los grupos vulnerables y no vulnerables de la población, según los vectores de atributos para una muestra de 1923 hogares. Además se demostró que las variables de capital humano en el hogar, explican el mayor porcentaje de inercia de los grupos vulnerables de la población.

Abstract: Given a parabolic map in one dimension $f(z) = z+O(z^2)$, $f \neq Id$, it is known that there exists the analogous of stable and unstable domains. That is, domains in which every point is attracted by $f$ (and by the inverse $f^{-1}$) towards the fixed point. In this paper we prove that there exists a natural parametrization for the unstable manifold in terms of iterates for some subset of parabolic maps. Furthermore, we prove that this parametrization is valid also in the case of skew-product maps that satisfy certain conditions. Finally, we give an application of this fact to construct Fatou disks for skew-product maps that are parabolic in each direction.

Abstract: Las hendiduras orofaciales son las malformaciones craneofaciales más frecuentes y menos entendidas, se han propuesto diversos modos de herencia, sobre lo cual lo más aceptado es la influencia de agentes ambientales y genéticos. Con respecto a los mecanismos de desarrollo asociados con la palatogénesis normal es claro que las interacciones entre epitelio y mesénquima son las más importantes pero existen factores extrínsecos que influyen considerablemente. Se han establecido dos grupos de genes involucrados en la regulación de dichas interacciones: factores de transcripción (Homeobox) y genes implicados en vías de se alización (factores de crecimiento). De estos últimos se ha hecho énfasis en el factor de crecimiento tranformante beta-3 (TGFb3) y las proteínas morfogenéticas óseas (BMPs) por las funciones que ejercen durante la palatogénesis relacionadas con adhesión epitelial y transformación epitelio-mesenquimal en el caso del primero y con proliferación mesenquimal por parte de la BMP-4. Orafacial clefts are the most frequent craneofacial malformations but the least understood; hereditary and environmental agents have been associated. Epithelia and mesenchymal interactions are important developmental mechanisms associated with normal palatogenesis as well as other extrinsic factors. Two groups of genes have been implicated in these interactions: transcription factors (homeobox) and signalling associated genes. Among the last ones, transformant growth factor beta-3 (TGFβ3) and bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) have been emphasysed because their relation with epithelia adhesion and epithelio-mesenchyma transformation and BMP- 4 on mesenchymal proliferation.
