El modelo del partenariado aplicado a la lucha contra el cambio climático (Public private partnership (PPP) as a model to work on climate change)
Virginia Senosiain Ortega
O?ati Socio-Legal Series , 2012,
Abstract: The present paper is focused on how the model of Public Private Partnership (PPP) fits into the work against climate change and to promote sustainable development. Even If our main idea to study the importance of this model as a tool to protect the environment, is necessary to approach to the problem of climate change first; the proper characteristics of the problem will determinate its suitability. We will follow analyzing the special character of this model and some international good practices, to finish with the conclusions of the present study El presente estudio tiene como objeto la posible adecuación del modelo del partenariado público privado a la lucha contra el cambio climático y al desarrollo sostenible.
Pacheco,Virginia; Ortega,Mauricio; Carpio,Claudio;
Suma Psicológica , 2011,
Abstract: we evaluated the role of the visual contact with what the writer writes, on the coherence and precision. 24 students of psychology read an article of a diary, later they wrote a quote and their opinion. in the second session, conducted similar tasks but read another article. there were 2 groups, in one, the participants did not have visual contact with what was writing (ncv) and in other one did have visual contact (cv). the group cv wrote more precise texts. both groups reached similar indexes of coherence. there is discussed that the relevancy of revision what one writes depends on other elements of the specific written interaction. it is suggested to revaluate the concept of revision in the analysis of the elaboration of texts.

Sánchez Jiménez,Virginia; Ortega Rivera,Fco. Javier; Ortega Ruiz,Rosario; Viejo Almanzor,Carmen;
Escritos de Psicología (Internet) , 2008,
Abstract: this study aims at analysing adolescents' romantic relationships and dating violence. 446 secondary schools students were interviewed (47.50% boys, 52.50% girls, mean age 16.08 years old) in terms of satisfaction, expectations, communication, conflicts, transggressive orientation and dating violence. results have showed that 90% of participants affirmed have had a sentimental experience, expressing how romantic relations in adolescence become a very important aspect in these years. adolescents declared that they were very satisfied with their dating relations, and girls and older participants showed more satisfaction and future expectations than boys and younger ones. dating violence was very present, but occasionally, among boys and girls. no differences were found either for age, sex, or for aggression and victimization.
Peer sexual harassment in adolescent girls: A cross-national study (Spain-Italy)
Rosario Ortega,Virginia Sánchez,Javier Ortega-Rivera,Annalaura Nocentini
International Journal of Clinical and Health Psychology , 2010,

Green and Sustainable Chemistry (GSC) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/gsc.2014.43017
Abstract:
The present investigation shows experimental results obtained with TiO2 thin films synthesized by the sol-gel method assisted with hydrothermal treatment over polypropylene, using the dip coating technique. Obtained coatings were characterized through SEM, XRD, UV-Vis and the photo- catalytic activity was monitored by GC. According to results, the hydrothermal treatment facilitates the crystallization of the TiO2 anatase phase, which is present in all synthesized films. Crystal size formed from precursor solutions (estimated by the Scherrer’s equation) depends on the time and temperature of the hydrothermal treatment, wherein solution exposed to a higher temperature treatment of 150C for 1.5 h (H150/1.5) exhibited a larger crystal size compared to those synthesized at 80C for 1.5 h and 3 h (H80/1.5 and H80/3). Sample H150/1.5 over polypropylene resulted in a uniform and crack free coating. This behavior was attributed to the precursor solution being denser than those synthesized at 80C. Additionally, the photocatalytic activity of the coatings was evaluated through the degradation of propane. Coating H150/1.5 reached 100% conversion after 3 h of UV light irradiation.

Interciencia , 2009,
Abstract: this study identified trends in the prevention and handling of liquid, solid and gaseous wastes, both toxic and non-toxic, in the venezuelan agro-foodstuff industry. information related to identification of waste emissions, including those of a toxic nature, the area where they are produced, and preventive, treatment and control measures, was obtained through a questionnaire and complemented by interviews carried out in 129 industries distributed in the six geographical regions of venezuela and which represented the main productive branches of the sector. results show that even while some enterprises are making efforts to minimize the environmental impact of industrial waste, where mention should be made of the incorporation of preventive measures such as waste segregation, placement of traps or sieves, control of leaks and spills, changes in cleaning methods, changes in the handling of waste products, on the whole the sector is weak as far as waste handling is concerned, especially the smaller companies. although several types of waste emission are recognized, a relatively high number of the industries included in the study admit that such emissions may occur without any form of control whatsoever. corrective action (treatment using conventional technologies) outweighs preventive action. however, interesting recycling processes involving sub-products and waste are also being used in some companies. the creation and consolidation of specific management structures arise as key elements to advance in an integrated productive approach that, improving the productivity assures, among others, an adapted environmental performance of the sector.
Sánchez,Rebeca; Najul,María Virginia; Ferrara de Giner,Griselda; Ortega,Elizabeth;
Revista Venezolana de Gerencia , 2009,
Abstract: this study proposes a management model to strengthen venezuelan food industries in delivering safe and better quality products to consumers, using competitive and efficient production modes. factors incorporated in the model were identified, developed and articulated, based on the concept of integral management and behaviour patterns that have led domestic and foreign firms to position themselves in the market (what, with what, how, for what or for whom is it done). validity of the assumptions was verified by simple correlation analysis between corporate performance indicators and variables that reveal attention to quality, product safety, environment, safety and technological innovation. results obtained after processing information from a sample of 129 industries indicate that a combination of safe production factors, valuation of knowledge and technological innovation, as well as social responsibility policies and actions for the integral management concept, make it possible to generate a progressively adopted management model that, considering the reality of the sector, can facilitate continuous performance improvement.
