Contribui es do estágio extracurricular para as competências profissionais: percep es de enfermeiros de um hospital público

Abstract: Este estudo teve como objetivo descrever e analisar como os enfermeiros de um hospital público de Belo Horizonte (MG) percebem as contribui es ideais (desejada) e reais (efetiva), do estágio extracurricular para o processo de forma o e desenvolvimento de competências profissionais dos acadêmicos de Enfermagem, dada sua importancia na forma o acadêmica e profissional do estudante durante tal processo pedagógico. Na pesquisa de campo, descritiva e com abordagem quantitativa, os dados foram coletados por meio de um questionário aplicado a 65 enfermeiros que acompanham os acadêmicos durante o estágio extracurricular. Os resultados mostraram que, tanto do ponto de vista do ideal como do real, tal modalidade de estágio tem contribuído para a forma o dos acadêmicos. No entanto, alguns pontos de defasagem foram identificados, os quais carecem de aten o por parte de todos os atores envolvidos: Estado, institui es de ensino, o hospital, os acadêmicos e os enfermeiros que os acompanham.

Abstract: O presente estudo teve como objetivo descrever e analisar como acadêmicos de enfermagem de um hospital público de Belo Horizonte (MG) percebem as contribui es, ideal (desejada) e real (efetiva), do estágio extracurricular para o desenvolvimento de competências profissionais, dada sua importancia na forma o acadêmica e profissional do estudante durante tal processo pedagógico. Trata-se de pesquisa descritiva de abordagem quantitativa, cujos dados foram coletados por meio de um questionário aplicado a trinta acadêmicos que faziam o estágio extracurricular no referido hospital. Os resultados mostraram que, tanto do ponto de vista do ideal como do real, esse tipo de atividade tem papel fundamental na forma o de competências profissionais dos estudantes. As diferen as identificadas entre os níveis de percep o abordados indicaram necessidades de a es pedagógicas mais amplas visando melhorias nos processos de ensino e aprendizagem.

Abstract: Objective: identify the main nursing care for patients with oral & maxillofacial trauma. Methodology: This study is a review of literature. The search was in the National library of medicine (PubMed) and in the Virtual health library (BVS), in the year 2007, using articles of the period 2000 to 2007. Results: were identified nursing care through the development of actions, attitudes and behaviors based on scientific knowledge, experience and critical thinking, performed to and with patients, to promote, maintain and/or recover their dignity and whole human. Conclusion: With the conduct of nursing care promotes an improvement in quality of life of patients with facial trauma, helping them in their physical rehabilitation, functional, aesthetic, social and emotional.

Abstract: this study aimed to develop and validate a scale of parenting beliefs and caring practices in the early childhood in brazilian contexts. after the theoretical construction of items, the final version of the scale was administered in two studies with different samples of mothers (preliminary study n=250; final study n=600), assessing the frequency of each behavior and the degree of importance attributed to the practices. the psychometric analyses used for the validation of the scale were: factorial analysis and calculation of internal consistency. in both studies, the factorial analysis resulted in two factors: the first was called "primary care" and the second "stimulation". the cronbach's coefficient properties were satisfactory, ranging from .68 to .83. the results demonstrated the validity and reliability of the scale, which can be used for future studies and intervention practices with families, especially during children's early years.

Abstract: a compartive study of the impacts of educational reforms in the decade of the 1990s, in argentina, brazil, chile and mexico, base on the análisis od academic production. one hundred and eighty-six (186) publications were analyzed distributed in the following manner: argentina 45, brazil 62, chile 36, and mexico 43. the study focused the reconfiguration of the administration of education from the perspectiva of the new logia of social regulation and the new role of the state and reveals the relationship between social and educational changes and the historicity of each one of those countries. apparent are those aspects that evidence the homogeneity of educational reforms in the region and the national specificities that infere in its realization. it is evident that the historicity that characterizes the educational reality in those countries underwent in mexico a "conservative break", in chile a "conservative continuation", in brazil "a conservative renovation", and in argentina "an interrupted break".

Abstract: this study focus on the reconfiguration of educational management in argentina, brazil, chile and mexico, which was promoted by the new logic of social regulation and the new role attributed to the state, considering each country's own historicity. so, the cultural factors that interfere on the dynamics of the 90' school reform are analyzed. aspects that show the homogeneity or heterogeneity of these reforms in the region, as well as local specificities that block out the concretization of the reform are underlined. it is shown that the historicity that characterizes the educational reform has taken, in each country, a form that can be called, in mexico, "conservative rupture"; in chile, "conservative continuity"; in brazil, "conservative renovation"; and, in argentina, "interrupted rupture". some conclusions about the impact of educational reform in the selected countries are recuperated through the analysis of 186 academic texts on the subject.

Abstract: Un estudio comparado sobre los impactos de la reforma educativa de la década del 90, en Argentina, Brasil, Chile y México, a partir del análisis de la producción académica. Fueron analizadas 186 producciones así distribuidas: Argentina (45), Brasil (62), Chile (36) y México (43). El estudio enfoca la reconfiguration de la gestión de la educación a partir de la nueva lógica de regulación social y del nuevo papel del Estado y revela la relación entre los cambios sociales y educativos y la historicidad de cada uno de esos países. Se destacan los aspectos que dejan en evidencia la homogeneidad de la reforma educativa en la región y las especificidades nacionales que interfieren en su concretización. Se pone en evidencia que la historicidad que caracteriza la realidad educativa en estos países viene sufriendo, en México una "ruptura conservadora"; en Chile, una "continuidad conservadora"; en Brasil, una renovación conservadora, y en Argentina, una ruptura interrumpida. Persistence of Coumarins Rodenticidas Brodifacoum and Coumatetralyl in Brazilian Urban Environment  [PDF]

Abstract: The chemical control of Rattus norvegicus in S?o Paulo city has been done using coumarins rodenticides as paraffin block and powder contact. The brodifacoum-paraffin block is placed in culverts and similar sites being subject to the action of the weather that can change the concentration of active ingredient. Whereas coumatetralyl-powder contact is applied on the entrance of the burrows, being subject to the action of the weather, that can help in the active ingredient degradation and its transference to other environments. There is not information on the environmental persistence of these active ingredients in their formulations after placing on the environment. So this research evaluated the persistence of brodifacoum-paraffin block and coumatetralyl-powder contact after two months under environmental conditions. One hundred blocks were put in culverts and weekly, during two months, three blocks were retreated and submitted to extraction and the extract analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography for quantification of active ingredient. The coumatetralyl-powder contact was applied in experimental systems simulating the field conditions. Soil and water samples were collected weekly, for two months, submitted to the extraction and the extracts analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography for quantification of active ingredient. The results pointed the stability of brodi-facoum-paraffin block under real application environmental conditions because 100% of active ingredient was recovered after exposition of the blocks. However, there was decreased about 80% in the concentration of coumatetralyl-powder contact on top soil during two months of environmental exposition, however there was not found it in water sample.

Abstract: we analysed the clinical course, laboratorial tests, evolution, and epidemiological features of 45 patients with the diagnosis of neurocysticercosis (nc) refered to neurology service of hospital cassiano antonio moraes, universidade federal do espirito santo, from january 1987 to january 1989. this study represents the first survey of that pathology in the state of espirito santo, and has led us to conclude that neurocysticercosis is endemic in this part of the country. the diagnosis was based on clinical features, csf abnormalities proper to nc and cranial ct scans to search for cysts, calcifications and ventricular abnormalities. the diagnosis of nc was corroborated by the finding of at least two of these criteria. no statistical differences were found for sex and/or age distribution. intracranial hypertension and epilepsy were among the most common clinical symptoms. the treatment was adequated to each patient, and varied from symptomatics to specifics. praziquantel (pzq), as well as surgery when indicated (ventricular-peritoneal shunt and/or cysts ressection) were used. no statistical differences were found in the follow-up of the patients who were under pzq alone and those who used pzq plus steroids (associated). surgery was of great benefit for those patients with intraventricular nc and severe intracranial hypertension. all patients were under close observation on periodical clinical visits during the time of this study, and we have demonstrated that neurocysticercosis is a strongly recurrent endemic pathology.

Abstract: objective: to make a survey of the principal anxiety instruments available for children, when they appeared, the type of methods used, verifying which countries have the highest number of children anxiety instruments and also how is the brazilian reality on this matter. methods: a systematic review on electronic databases _ psychoinfo (1940 _ may 2002), psyclit (1887 _ may 2002), medline (1966 _ may 2002) e eric (1966 _ may 2002). information collected on personal communications and books chapters. the inclusion criterion utilized: studies realized with children, where the anxiety were evaluated with some psychometric instrument. the exclusion criterion: adolescents, adults and animal research articles, articles utilizing projective instruments or studies without any reference of assessment instruments. the indexed articles found in 2 or more databases were considered only once. results: this review pointed out 1911 studies used at least one assessment instrument to identify the presence of anxiety and 118 instruments were used for this purpose. conclusions: there are a large number of children anxiety instruments available, however, in brazil, the only one available in the market isn't updated and the modern ones are found only in clinic academic centers.
