Prediction of antigenic peptides of LTx5 toxin from Lasiodora sp. IBSP8539

Abstract: The toxin LTx5 toxin is an 116aa residue peptide is isolated from the venom of Lasiodora sp.IBSP8539.In this assay we have predicted the binding affinity of toxin LTx5 toxin having 116 amino acids, whichshows 109 nonamers. Peptide fragments of the neurotoxin can be used to select nonamers for use in rationalvaccine design and to increase the understanding of roles of the immune system in neurotoxin studies. Smallsegment ‘3- STFIIMISLAVALATWPSEH-22’ of toxin protein called the antigenic epitopes is sufficient for elicitingthe desired immune response. Immunization cassettes should be capable of immunizing of broad immunityagainst both humoral and cellular epitope thus giving vaccines the maximum ability to deal with neurotoxinprotein of Eurypelma californicum. Binding ability prediction of antigen peptides to MHC class molecules isimportant in vaccine development, We also found the SVM based MHCII-IAb peptide regions, 40- YALADRAEK,10- ISLAVALAT, 99- MYQAERALE, 14- VALATWPSE, (optimal score is 1.494); MHCII-IAd peptide regions, 96-LDIMYQAER, 29- SETKLNVEL, 68- GASVLCEAV, 4- STFIIMISL, (optimal score is 0.604); MHCII-IAg7 peptideregions , 38- GPYALADRA, 98- IMYQAERAL, 9- MISLAVALA, 99- MYQAERALE, (optimal score is 1.904); andMHCII- RT1.B peptide regions, 17- ATWPSEHIE, 101- QAERALEKL, 98- IMYQAERAL, 108- KLASSFRCE,(optimal score is 0.601) which represented predicted binders from neurotoxin protein. We have predicted asuccessful immunization.

Abstract: i present a brief summary of the origins, applications and criticisms of the anthropic principle. i start with robert dicke's first arguments in favor of anthropic reasoning, continue through the formulations of brandon carter and the extrapolations of john barrow and frank tipler. in the end i analyse some of the most important consequences of the anthropic principle in cosmology and quantum mechanics. there is also a section dedicated to possible refutations of the anthropic principle.

Abstract: This descriptive study examines 3rd year GNM student's knowledge regarding Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in Vijayanagar School of Nursing. Mudalpalya, Bangalore. The data were generated using structured knowledge questionnaire. Simple random sampling technique was adopted to select 60 subjects based on certain predetermined criteria. A self instruction module was prepared on the basis of the knowledge of the student nurses and to accomplish the study.
The reliability calculation of foundations under eccentric load in the operation phase

Abstract: The new method of the reliability calculation of buildings and structures’ earth foundations based on limited statistical information on controlled parameters in the operation stage is considered. The reliability is calculated by criterion of foundation deformations (settlement) in the presence of load eccentricity of the foundation and using possibility distribution functions for the description of fuzzy variables. New approach to the reliability calculation of a foundation bed is offered with describing eccentricity characteristic as random variable by the probability distribution law and properties of soil – by the possibility characteristic. The way for determination of eccentricity value of load on the foundation bed by measurement of deformations in the foundation material at the expense of unloading the part of the foundation on the area with resistance strain gages is considered. Reliability as the probability of failure-free operation of the foundation is characterized by the interval with minimum and maximum values.
Organization of pay for the production of a considerable number of heterogeneous operations

Abstract: The article presents approaches to the organization of labor in productions with a large number of dissimilar operations (eg, tool production). The major difficulty in assessing the results of such workers is the lack of standard, so measured and rated operations. There is shown the analysis of basic motivational factors of hourly and piece-rate pay systems for such productions. In the article there is developed the procedure for organizing the evaluation and pay system of workers according to individual productivity.

Incidence of post-harvest fungal rots of kinnow mandarin and their management

Abstract: Various fruit rots caused by seven fungal pathogens isolated from diseased kinnow mandarin fruits during the entire marketing period from November to April next were green mold rot (Penicillium digitatum, P. italicum, P. chrysogenum), black mold rot (Aspergillus niger), core rot (Alternaria alternata), soft rot (Fusarium moniliforme) and stem-end rot (Botryodiplodia theobromae). The periods of fruit rot by fungal pathogens varied depending upon the prevailing temperature and humidity during their post-harvest journey in the marketing chain. The seasonal disease incidence of kinnow fruit clearly marked two distinct peaks of fungal rot spoilage. Out of a cumulative monthly fruit loss of 7.77-14.20% due to rot from November to April, the major fruit spoilage during this period was dominated by green and blue mold rots caused by P. digitatum (5.18-8.85%) and P. italicum (2.59-4.82%) with peak rot losses in January (8.25%)-February (8.85%) and February (4.82%)-March (4.43%), respectively. The second peak was dominated by green and black mold rots caused by P. chrysogenum and A. niger with a fruit spoilage of 3.67% by each pathogen during warmer month of April. The average monthly loss due to fruit rot during the entire marketing season was 11.61%. Postinoculation chemical treatments were ineffective against the major fruit rot pathogens. Pre-inoculation treatments of thiabendazole (0.05%), benlate (0.05%) and carbendazim (0.05%) were highly effective against green and blue mold rots caused by P. digitatum and P. italicum, respectively followed by salicylic acid (0.05%), sodium metabisulphite (0.5%) and borax (6%) whereas thiophanate methyl (0.25%) and borax (6%) were most effective against black mold rot caused by A. niger.
On the connection between the phenomena of corporeity and welfare in the adolescent self-awareness

Abstract: This article considers two phenomena of adolescent self-adolescence: the awareness of one's bodily experience and psychological well-being. The author puts forward a hypothesis that these phenomena might be connected. An empirical study helps identify three groups of test persons: those with vital, conformal, and personal reflection types of bodily capacities. The article emphasizes the positive relation between the level of bodily capacity awareness and the level of general psychological well-being.

Abstract: Objective- To study the complications of ND:YAG Laser capsulotomy.Participants- Patients between age group of 08 to 80 who is having significant posterior capsular opacification leading to decreased visual acuity from early post operative days.Material and Method- 200 patients with PCO were studied for post ND:YAG laser complications. The patient who is not having any organic cause of decreased vision and who have completed at least three months after cataract surgery were selected. ND:YAG laser procedure was performed and their visual acuity improvement along with complications associated with this procedure were studied. Results- The procedure is absolutely safe if strict selection (inclusion/exclusion) criteria is followed. Most of complications are transient which can be managed by proper medication. Complications like retinal detachment or cystoid macular edema are multifactoral and can not always be only due to laser capsulotomy alone. Endophthalmitis is rare complication but highly unpredictable which can not be ruled out but be well treated with newer generation intravitreal drugs or vitrectomy surgery. Most of the patients 86% were significantly benifited by improved visual acuity.
